Paint And Wine Bar Night

So I'm sure you all have seen those canvas paintings that everyone has been posting about....arent they so cool? What if i told you, you could paint a picture just like that during a class and also the best part about it, is you can drink wine while painting!!! That's pretty sweet right? Well apparently you just bring yourself and your own bottle of wine and the instructor shows you how to paint whichever picture they have in mind. They give you instructions and show you how to paint it just like them! I have a few friends and family members who have done this and have said nothing but great things about these gatherings! I have yet to try this out though, and I am really interested in going to one of these gatherings! Most towns and cities have a few they host themselves and then some towns have people come in from different places and put on this wine and paint bar night! I'm sure you could just check out your city's website for more information on your town hosting these kind of events and when and how often!

Here are a few pictures of what these kind of nights look like!!

This is definitely something you would do lol! I just wonder how the paintings would be in the beginning rather than towards the end of the class. Why do i have a feeling that drunken paintings would take over? Does Berlin have classes like this that you can go to? This would be a nice break for you to just get away and have some wine and paint. So many stresses on a daily basis that things like this can really relieve alot of stress for anyone. The other negative thing i can see is the police around here camping outside of these gatherings and waiting for the wine drinkers to get in the car and drive home. They really have nothing better to do around here so that is the only other thing i can for see happening. Thank You for sharing this topic please make sure you let us know if you find one to go to around here.

yes, although I'm not really artistic in painting or anything, i think i would enjoy this! and YES Berlin, has this!! the WREN center holds the gathering! I am not a fan of wine so i would be one of those who just go there to paint and watch all the drunk people try to paint pictures!!!! =] it definitely would be a stress reliever and I can see the police waiting around for the people leaving these gatherings....especially around here!

erminin,
I really enjoyed this post, and I think it is a great idea. You could exchange paintings with your guests at the end of the party, and they could take one of yours home, and you could hang one of theirs in the dining area or on the patio or whatever. The wine would add an extra festive nature to the event, and anything that inspires creativity in individuals and groups is a positive thing, I think. Thanks for the cool party idea.

I would love to go to something like this. This sounds like a lot of fun. Wine really relaxes me. God knows I need to relax. And who knows, I may actually be able to paint something. I believe there is an artists in everyone of us. I believe I'm an abstract artist. For me this would be for fun, and I would probably take a friend so that we can have a good laugh at my work.

I recently traveled to Estonia and attended a similar event supported by Carpe Vinum. I was very surprised at the big difference between the drawings before drinking a glass of wine and after. A large number of artists gathered to try their hand and in fact there were even people who after drinking a glass of wine began to draw better. As it turned out in Estonia, such events are of interest not only to tourists but also to Estonians. If you have the opportunity to attend such an event, don't even think about it, and if you're an artist, I recommend you to try your hand.
