Are Call of Duty Games released too quickly?

It seems now like we are seeing a new Call of Duty released each year, even now all gamers are anticipating what the next Call of Duty will be for 2017 and whether or not we will go back to boots on the ground or if they will be sticking with the more 'futuristic' side of things such as boost jumping.

I don't mind the Call of Duty games but I really feel at the moment they may be running out of ideas. Call of Duty Black Ops, Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 3 have got to be my most favourite games out of every Call of Duty game. Advanced Warfare and Ghosts was when I started losing faith in the Call of Duty games and when I purchased Black Ops 3 I was at that point taking a chance, lucky for me that chance was proven to be a good one, still after Black Ops 3 came Infinite Warfare and I couldn't get on with that game at all, I never liked the feel of it if I am honest, lucky for me I tried a friends copy instead of purchasing my own.

My question is do you feel they are releasing Call of Duty games too quick? Would a few year break between each game benefit them so they had more time to come up with fresh new ideas?

yes I agree they are. I do think there great games but they should space them out . Take GTA for example the best game in my opinion but we all love it and rockstar knows it they work really hard . They leave whos hanging for good number of years and then they bring another one out. That is how call of duty games should be.

I do prefer GTA tho lol. Don't get me wrong I like call of duty I do but I like GTA more.

I used to be a fan of GTA myself however after GTA IV I didn't seem as keen anymore, wasn't too keen on the changes they made if I am honest but I do agree with you, for those who are huge fans of GTA they do tend to keep their fans in suspense as to when the next game will be and I feel that is how Call of Duty should be. It will not only give them time to think up new ideas but it will keep fans in suspense and then when they finally do make an announcement more people will be excited to see what they have to offer rather than what we have now which is so many complaining about how awful it may be.

I think GTA games are getting better but I do know what you mean there as been major changes . The only thing what is annoying most times is when a new GTA comes out it is always different characters. They ment to be bringing GTA 6 out not sure if its true or rumours but I bet they change the characters again. Hope not because trevor is really funny .

But with Call of Duty I enjoyed the black ops better then the rest with the zombie mode as well. Anything zombies I like lol like the dead rising that another one of my favourites and also resident evil. Great games the new resident evil 7 looks abit dull well not as in dull but not the main characters.

Probably because of competition or securing their legacy. Competition, because there are a lot of MMOFPS nowadays and some are better than the others. So being one of the pioneers of multiplayer FPS game, Call of Duty should keep on putting updates, DLCs and expansion packs just to stay at the top. Battlefield has been one of their main competitors these days. We also have the currently famous PUBG.

In my personal opinion, I think yes they are released too quickly and it's not entirely encouraging to gaming fans. I would prefer it to take a little while longer before any new release comes out but I simply don't have a say in how the developers run their affairs.

So therefore, I think it's best to keep my opinion to myself and allow them to do their stuff the way that they see fit. All I should care about is catching my own fun.

I think they probably release it on purpose, like they don't want some competitions, so they release it right away. I remember I used to have one of this game that I just recently buy but then the newer version is coming out and I'm like, what is their deal bro? are they serious?.

I think they have their own business decisions to justify. And there are plenty of things to learn from. So we have to find out and learn how it may or may not apply to us in many ways. You can see that some of such games can be fun. I'd say that some of the games from them were rushed. And this happens with most of the franchise like wolfestein too.

They clearly don't want to lose the market. Which is okay. I don't agree that they're running out of ideas. These guys get paid pretty well to come up with new epiphany's and gimmicks for each new COD release. If they're running out of ideas legitimately? Then they need to hire some new idea men or tell the current ones to step up their game.
