What do you think about owning your own games site

Well few weeks back I had a games site installed on one of my domains. Not getting much traffic on it as still working on it. Now also as it is installed on my wordpress I use yoast but sould I add keywords and more information on to each game with yoast. The only problem with that , it will take ages there is hundreds of games listed on my site lol.

I have been adding more recent to my games site its mainly flash games but I am trying to think on the lines what others would like. So ive added sonic and mario also doom . It is hard finding a site to get the games from to add to your site .Do hope it will grow in time as there is many who use sites like these.

That's really awesome. Good for you! I have always wanted to have my own gaming site even if it's just some flash games lol. Have you tried doing paid traffic or other related services which helps in increasing your sites traffic? That seems to be working to most people nowadays.

I wish you the best of luck with it. I noticed that it has been quite a few months now since you posted this so how has the site been? Have you continued to add games to the site regularly? I hope it has done well because it does seem that game sites are becoming much less popular. Most people now either have consoles or good enough desktops/laptops to be able to play proper PC games. So I just can't see flash game sites doing well anymore, but of course, I might be wrong.

I think this would be a really good idea since not only is it hot in the market today, earning quite a lot of money is also very possible. I wish I know how to do it, because I surely would. The ideas you have also seem very nice. I hope it works out for you and you can eventually have increasing traffics for your site.

I love games alot right from teenage days,my brothers wouldn't let me rest with the noise of one game or the other.Any new version of any game must be bought by them and I had no option to play along.Of course, if you can't beat them you join them.So I was almost addicted to games,all games generally so I wouldn't having my gaming site, At least this time I will be making money by the side doing I really love.Well done for starting a gaming site.

Since I don't take much interest in gaming, I have never considered starting my own gaming website. However, I recently, I have been thinking about promoting affiliate products associated with games. My research tells me there is so much interest in gaming and I want to tap that market. However, in order to sell games, I need contents related to gaming on my websites. If I don't have gaming contents, no one will visit my website.

Not a fan of having a site just for gaming, but my cousins do have a blog and a forum. They would love to have a gaming site, for sure, the problem is the usually it takes a lot of time and money investment to have a good one. Right now I don't have the time or money for it, I work a lot and won't be able to interact with my followers/registers. Hope that you still have the site and doing really well with it.

I'm a gamer since i was a little kid and owning a company related to gaming and anime is one of my biggest dreams. Producing a game and making a gaming site seems to be very intimidating though. When you look at it, it's very rewarding making something and finishing it, while everybody enjoys it is a great feeling. I plan on having a gaming site soon after i make my first mobile game.

I think it's a brilliant idea. I hope you have not given up on it. My advise to you is treat it like any other business where you have to put in the work to attract customers. Advertise, Advertise, Advertise!

Don't assume because it is a gaming site people will automatically flock to it. What other advantages does it have over other gaming sites? Does it have the latest games?

I would also offer people an incentive for playing on your site, you have to differentiate yourself from other gaming sites.

Use all the known methods for getting organic traffic to your site I.e SEO, blogging, affiliates e.t.c

It is a good idea if you know something about it and have the time to expand the project. The ads can bring you some money. I didn't know flash games are still popular but if you have many of them then more people will come to your site.

This is a hard niche because games as you know, are licensed by companies. So if anything Mario, Sonic, etc related pops up on your site. The rights owner could demand you take it down, or demand your site be taken down in full. I do think running a games site that sells or allows the download of games is very cool and useful, especially these days. But the games should be created by you or original works that don't feature already established and popular characters or titles such as DOOM, CALL OF DUTY, etc.

As long as I remember, I am that type of guy that would play any games and the get addicted to it. But still, having my own gaming site is not in my mind yet, I just love playing it but getting money from it seems a hard task for me. And good for you and your site seems good, I like it. Yes i like this one i am also a gamer i love making website that has some flash games i tried this one i put some pacman game on my website but it is not online yet there are some codes needed to be done. this would be fun for entertainment the only hard part here is gaining traffic in our website it might be hard but with proper strategy we might get many traffics towards on our website and earn money on it through google adsense.

As much as I love gaming I don't think I'll be cut out to do that. Unless there is monetization involved (Which is hard) how could you possibly spend time that you should be spending with work with a hobby ?

Yes monetizing your website is hard but with proper strategy and look for some tutorials on how to become a successful in this kind of field maybe we can give it a shot. but if you only like to play it's okay too. it is just a matter of passion if there is a will there is a way.

Yes for me it's more of a hobby. I am saying this because I have tried to monetize sites before and to no avail so nope I don't think I'd invest in anything like that.

I run a website dedicated to a particular game but I don't run a gaming website. Google has ended support for flash and its no longer being used in chrome. So I don't know how long your arcade website is going to be around. Because most people use chrome these days and the games will not work.

It is very hard to run a gaming website, there are high costs and a lot of disadvantages. It is true that there may be a higher traffic than the other websites but you must always update your website with new games that you must buy and new games costs a lot.

Smurfs are people that are similar to cheaters, but they are playing without programs that help them to aim or to shoot. These are people that take money from other people to play on their account and make their ranks higher. I was also surfing. I was very happy because I was playing my favorite game, and getting money for this. Usually, I was playing with that money on cs go gambling sites and improving the inventory of my main account. For me, the inventory in the game is also important because, on high ranks, almost everyone has cool skins for weapons.

It's one of the greatest feelings for sure. I created my own game for android-based platforms, and even for a start that was not as great as I expected, getting a company that helped me bring in more money from ads https://www.pangleglobal.com/ was the biggest game-changer. I'm stating the facts since most of the people creating apps are not focusing as much as they should on their app monetization skills. You are one of those guys that have not found the way to turn the application into a business; you should definitely check that out.
