Do you still play chess in PC? what can you say about it?

I still playing chess and it help me to understand basic analysis, sometimes it create more attention and focus when ever I played the game. The game is simple, yet has impact of every player play with it. I, and my father played the game before, I often lose the game.
I would recommend to play by every children because its more entertaining and educated. I don't usually play with computer opponent because it has limitation, unless the chess has upgrade its version.

Chess Titans, was the first game i played on PC, and i can still remember the struggles it made me go through back then, the computer kept on defeating and toiling with me, till i mastered the game and i can proudly say that am the leader of the chess club back then in college.
They called me the wizard of the knight. because the knight was my silent assassin and weapon of mass destruction. it's a trick in chess, many people don't know till now, only 2% of the world chess playing population know the trick. Do you still play chess in PC? what can you say about it?
Although i migrated to FIFA and PES as which i think is part of masculinity Do you still play chess in PC? what can you say about it?. but these three games are my favorite and i still play chess till now. especially when i think i have lost some IQ points after looking at dank memes Do you still play chess in PC? what can you say about it?.

I already try to play chess in PC and for me, challenging other people is way better than playing with the computer. A chess player like me, I always find new chess players out there to find my greatest rival. It's good to have a rival. Anyways, playing with the computer is the best way for me to trained myself.

I agree with you. If you are already good at playing chess, playing with computers would be boring but if you are beginner it would be challenging and a good practice. I still play with computers when I want to practice, you can also learn some moves from them.

Well i still play chess with friends sometimes while i am bored but i rarerly play on a PC because i don't think that chess on PC is that fun like the chess in real life. In my case i just see the chess in real life more attractive.

Yeah, I used to play chess for hours every day, it's a mindbendingly deep game and, if it attracts you, you become completely obsessed with it, to the point of having chess related dreams. I don't have the time to keep improving anymore (you have to invest a very serious amount of time if you want to improve your game) but I still enjoy a good chess game from time to time.

Yes, its very hard playing against the computer, it anticipate every move you make which is unfair unlike when you play against a person its more challenging and engaging to play.

Definitely. The problem is that whatever difficulty you choose to play with against the computer, it is either extremely easy or extremely difficult. It's difficult for them to program a proper AI that would act like a human, maybe one day they will be able to. It's always best to just play against an actual person because the game is much more interesting and will be challenging for you as well.

Before I did that. But this time I only play games on my phone. In play store, you can download chess and play it on your phone. But playing chess on my PC is a great past time. And playing chess is kind an addicting and you really want to defeat the vs. computer in the game. but playing chess on the phone is also great.

I enjoy playing chess physically with friends and it has been a great experience, but why I tried playing chess on my pc, I had a completely different experience with it. Playing with real human beings does it for it unless I could see an online chess game in which I can challenge people from around the globe.

The feeling of winning is always special!

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

That is true. It is just so different when you play it with an actual human being because you won't have enough time to think about your strategies and at the same time, the pressure will be building up. Unlike on a computer game, wherein you can just think about it almost all the way without having to worry about the pressure of your opponent.

Seriously, I'm still learning, unfortunately I'm not very gifted when it comes to chess. Sometimes I see it very logic, and sometimes I consider it abstract. But yes, when I started learning, I began to practice on the PC, basic movements, some modern ones. Right now I work a lot, so I don't have time enough to sit and play, but I do it eventually online.

The game is still worth playing to this day. It is one of the games that is good for recreation since it could be for 1 or 2 players. I always get to beat my brother with this game and he seems to be improving as time passes by. Good graphics and animation, it has a guide for the total beginner and explanation for the chess rules. I always play with this game at our local library.

I don't know why but I have never been able to learn or play chess. Maybe it would have been better for me if I had learnt the various rules and pieces when I was smaller. I tried learning what I can do and what moves are legal for certain pieces but I could just never remember them all. I even tried a few games online against random people but I just couldn't learn it. It's too confusing for me and it's probably for the best that I completely avoid the game Do you still play chess in PC? what can you say about it?. I have not played a chess game versus a PC in ages, maybe many years. Although I think that doing so would be really good practice for me, and maybe even fun since my game has matured over the years, I would much rather play a human opponent, of course, when one is available. I love the game in general, but squaring off against a real person across the table is much more interesting to me, as you analyze one another and how you each approach the game, than wondering about the cold mathematical and strategic moves of the PC's "mind". Soon, I guess I may have to opportunity, one day, to play an A.I. unit...that might be interesting.

I used to play chess all the time when I was a teenager. My grandfather actually LOVES to play chess. As long as I remember, he has been playing it at least 5 times per week. He doesn't play it through the computer but the old, traditional way. I think that he even entered in some competitions on the local level.

Anyway, he was the one that taught me how to play. When I used to stay at their house, we played for hours and hours. He kept beating me but then he also showed me different tricks and how to predict the opponent. Once I was old enough to use the computer, I played chess there. I remember that they also had options to play versus real players through it and not just bots. Sadly, I haven't played it in ages now due to time restrictions Do you still play chess in PC? what can you say about it?

I used to play all the time when I was younger. It certainly added a lot to my problem-solving ability and rational thinking also. Once my father traveled abroad and brought me a handheld Chess trainer. Kinda like a palm top but with Chess playing capabilities. There were 100 levels in it and I must have beat at least 50. A good game for any youngster.

I used to play the game Chess on my computer back in the days specially when I was in high school. Now I still play it but only on social media who has flash games available. It's a good game and could really get you occupied and if you want to kill some time, it's a good option too.

Haven't played chess in a while one way or the other but this post has brought back some fond memories, thank you! I think I will start the chess ball rolling once again by striking up a few games with the computer and after I've regained the swing of things I'll invite a few friends for a show down at high noon in the chess coral for old times sake!

I have played both Chess and Chekkers. And I have found that chekkers is more fun. The only thing with the chess is that it would be reasonable to see how the things can be controlled more in the chess. And for this reason it'd be reasonable to play with the chess. I mostly prefer the desktop games. Playing online is fun too. You get to play with the strangers and that can be a good experience if you ask me. It can definitely change the way you handle the game so that's definitely fun to watch in that case.

Yes I do play chess on PC. This becomes an alternative to the real chess board game. It's challenging especially when competing with the computer but I miss the times when competing with the people who you'll get to somehow enjoy. Sometimes my head hurts when focusing too much on the screen of my phone in which hinders my concentration. I would prefer children to play it on real board game, though.

I still play chess on my PC. Playing the game of Chess on PC helps my find to focus on something, it also helps in analytic thinking. The game of chess will help you develop strategies, to analyze certain things through various perspective. Winning or losing the game does not matter, what is more important is, how long you can survive.

I dont play chess on PC. Because I usually play chess with my friends, and also I don't enjoy playing with bots, sometimes if you choose hard difficulty its so hard to defeat maybe for me its impossible. But when I am playing with my friends its very fun and challenging because you don't want to get beaten by your friend because he will tease you. I already stop playing this game because I am so weak in this. I can only beat up to level 3 enemies, I can only analyze their moves up to some point and then I will be shocked that it's already a checkmate and I lost. I don't know why, but I'm good with any action games but I suck with this one. But, I did really enjoy playing chess in my PC few years ago. I learned a lot of moves and techniques that I still use nowadays when playing with my classmates. And, for your information, I'm good with playing with real people. Wanna try??

I used to play chess on my PC and can say that it was a very good game. However, I prefer to play chess with my friends and family as I find it to be more fun and enjoyable. I think that we must encourage children to pay chess as this can help develop their problem solving, critical thinking, language and mathematical skills. To be honest, playing chess and checkers have helped me to improve my logical thinking skills. I know that there are some free chess games available online and I will try to see if I can play some of those games in the days to come.

Uhmmm, it's pretty boring compared to the actual/physical game because most of the time, your opponent is an A.I. where you can change the difficulty and what's worst is that you can undo your move unlimited times! And if you have an opponent, a real person, sometimes, if you have slow connection, there's a high tendency that you disconnect from the game or your opponent will leave the match. So I advise that you should play the physical game more often than the digital one.

I don't play PC games that much if at all. However, I do play checkers on my 60 inch television set through my cable box. My cable provider has a games channel where we can play all sorts of games like Poker, checkers, word games and the like. We used to be able to play Tetris but it was removed from the menu due to a licensing issue between the game maker/company and our cable provider.

I didn't teach him how to play, I just taught him how to use the PC with the game. I'm not a big fan of chess but if I'm going to play I rather do it with a friend...

I have played chess game on my computer, but i guess i don't have gift in playing chess I'm not good enough to beat my older brother, I easily get annoyed when he beats me.

I really do think that chess game helps the person to analyze the game and build a strategy to defeat your opponent, and it builds a patience as well, able to predict the next move of your opponent is one of the keys in winning this game. I would love to teach my kids someday, to play this game.

Yes. I played chess on PC like Chess Titan. I am not so good in playing it, that's why I am having a hard time leveling up, but I am trying. Chess is so interesting game , it is one of the most popular board games in the world. If I have free time I always lend time to play chess titan, because I want to be good at it. I've seen some chess competition local and international in youtube. Gary Kasparov was one of my all time favorite chess player.

I have not played chess in the PC for some time now. But I have tried it before and I must say, the computer can play. I've heard that Gary Kasparov was once beaten by a computer named Deep Blue. That just shows you how intelligent a computer is. I'm just wondering how I can challenge Deep Blue to a game. If it still exists. I still believe that humans are better though.

Almost on a daily-basis, haha! Whenever I can't use lichess, I play the default that comes with Windows 7. It's a very effective way of analysing openings and your gameplay. The possibility of choose the dificulty of the IA helps a lot. You can progress your knowledge, yet, see the diference upon the machine plays.

The chess on Windows 7 is pretty good, I don't really play it occasionally, but from time to time, when I'm bored and my internet is down, I play a couple of games. The design is simple and smooth, so you don't really need another software, the bots aren't that bad either, well if you are someone who is passionate about chess, you'd most likely play on another software, however for just killing the time, it's pretty good.

I still play chess in PC, I play with a computer in the most difficult mode and it is enough to give me a challenge. It is the best option for me if I want to play and improve my skills specially if I don't have someone around to play with. I don't know hoe to play chess at all, but I have tried doing it in PCs. yes, I now the basics but I think my brain just isn't wired to think of strategies and see the holes in my opponent's movements. With that in mind, I think playing it with the computer as your opponents will be a whole lot more difficult. I could have a game with other people using it, but it is quite obvious that most people who play it online are actually pretty good chess player, and thus, I strongly believe that I'll just embarass myself if I opt to do it.

Its a really good idea to play chess with computer because you will face a very difficult Artificial Intelligence (AI) opponent that will testify your skills and mindset on how you will win the match. You can also play chess online with opponents around the corner of the globe. It is very good and best idea to have this tactics game in PC but playing opponents personally i think is much better idea.

I love chess in all forms, online or on a board. When i'm bored during the day or home alone, I play chess online. When I am with friends and family I play it on a board.

The truth is it is a fun game to play especially with people , but if you're alone you may as well play it virtually.

I remember when we were small we used to crave playing it, yet we never had a chess board. We made one out of a box and used bottle tops to play the game. That's how eager and determined we were to play it.

In the village today where they can't afford to buy the board game they do the same.

I never pass up the opportunity to play if I can, even online, as it improves my thinking.

I play chess online and offline. I started to learn playing it when I was in grade 3. I started playing chess on PC when I was in college. I still play it until now. The computer is always my component. I haven't experienced playing it with online people for an opponent though. It's fun and challenging. I rarely win there. If remember it right, I just won twice there. It's really hard to win. It shows that they programmed the game very well. I rarely win but at least it's a fun way of making my brain active.

Yes, I still play chess, both online and offline.

Chess.com is where I play it online. It has various game modes, depending on time setting that you want. I think playing blitz online won't make you that better as opposed to playing a 60 minute match where you can really make use of strategies and deep analysis. In this site, you get to play with other players from different countries which makes it more fun. The best part is after a game, win or loss, you can run an analysis of your game.

Lucas Chess is where I play offline. I think there are better software that this, but I'm contented with it because I do see improvement in my game.

Well, playing chess in PC is a good way to improve your game, as this is what most GMs do.

You always want to relax and do your favorite thing. We are all human, and we all get tired, and each of us should have a hobby to indulge in with all our hearts. I used to prefer soccer, but I rarely left my laptop when I discovered chess on the PC. I wanted to play for days on end. But the trouble happened when my laptop broke down; I then did not play chess for about a week. I decided to take it to the nearest repair service. It turned out that it just ruined the battery. I changed everything, and my laptop was working again. Now I want to try to register for online tournaments.
