I haven't done any writing projects really. However, when I was younger I did create a few books, mostly just for fun because back then I loved spending time just creating books and then drawing stuff including the front cover for it. It was just a fun past time that I enjoyed quite a lot.

By your description it seems to have been a fun time, right?

Don't you feel like it or do you plan to do it again someday? Maybe you don't rediscover yourself doing that. Wouldn't it be something interesting for you?

It was a fun thing to do when I was younger but not really something I would do nowadays because it just doesn't interest me. If I even tried to do it, I would probably start after a few minutes because it would just bore me. I can't see myself doing it at any point in the future

Oh, now I got it. We grow and things go - naturally - changing. It's a natural process of our lives. I mean, if your vision about it has changed, it's because it wasn't something to happen, haha. What Is The Most Exciting Writing Project You Have Ever Done?

Me too, haven't done any projects yet but I've been thinking this since when I was in college. Like I love the idea of writing a book and writing your own awesome and perfect story. What Is The Most Exciting Writing Project You Have Ever Done?

Book writing is definitely fun, I can attest to it. The feeling you have seeing a copy of your writing in another's possession is very encouraging to keep on doing it, as you are passing your knowledge down to others and making your legacy.

I think writing books is more fun. Though it's hard to get the book to sale. I am sure that in near future things may surely change. I'd say on that account we have to also consider writing in better marketplace. For example smashingwords have good results. But the kindle can bring much better revenue compared to any other book selling platform.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

JoeMilford
Getting the books to sell is truly tough, but there is such a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction in finishing a large project like writing a book. I love finishing off handwritten journals and have them on my shelf arranged chronologically. Selling through Kindle is a good idea, and I have a few writer friends who have definitely had some good luck getting their work out in that way.

From experience, I would definitely tell you that if you have the skills for writing when you were little as you put it, believe me when I tell you that such skill never left you. It only went into dormant mode because you left practicing.

All you need is an inspiration to start writing again, and once such comes you will absolutely take to writing again and it would be as you never stopped for a day.

DarthHazard,
I agree with wiseagent--like you, I used to draw comic books or create books with original covers when I was younger. I even was awarded most talented my senior year of high school because of my art. However, I became an English major and gravitated towards a different kind of literature. Years later, I came back to drawing again, and it has become an IMMENSE pleasure in my life. In other words, I think that you should really look into writing and drawing creatively again--you never know what a great addition to your current life that it could be right now.

This is quite a hard choice because I have done so many writing projects by now and honestly, each one still means something special to me. Even the ones that didn't turn out to be what I initially thought.

Each project taught me something new and that is why I can't say that specifically "this" project is the most exciting or best one. Among my top favorites though would have to be writing for a local radio host.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Barida
Writing for a radio station must have been great for it will bring you to listen how people rank your work.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Martinsx1
Writing for radio or television stations, seriously I haven't taught about that before now. That seems like a good prospect, because I have reasons to believe that should one do a good job with whatever writing that is given to the media station, and it happens to meet the station policy, there is every tendency of you getting a contract with such station.

This would even propel such writer to being a star in no distant time. This tip looks amazing, and I think I would look into it and see what I might come up with that would interest the media stations.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Tronia
Definitely! You sound really interested and I suggest that you look into it. Many radio stations and even TV channels are constantly looking for new writers because they want new material. Some are even looking for permanent writers but others just need a piece or two.

Regardless, the pay rate is usually quite nice especially compared to what you can find on the internet. I had a blast working for them.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Martinsx1
Wow, that seems nice, I will definitely look into it. Who doesn't like to get paid well for his work? Personally, I love getting paid well because it's a good motivator to do more good work. Thanks for the advice.

I totally understand your perspective here! It is tough to pick just ONE project, so maybe that was an "unfair" question. Our writing projects are like our "babies", and so they can mean a great deal to us individually and for different reasons, of course. I tend to be more connected to my creative writing pieces and poetry, but I have been pretty proud of some of my business and social pieces as well over the years. I like your idea that "each project teaches something new"--that's a great way to look at it and a very open-minded way of approaching one's work.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Ah, a poetry lover like myself, that's nice. It's takes a lot of creative mindset to make a good poem. Most times, I make the use of nature scenery to get inspired before penning down my work. I have several poems on nature.

Currently, I am writing a book for a client. This is the highest paying writing assignment I have received until now. I am writing on the topic that I have never written or did not know. I had to do a lot of research to develop notes on this topic. However, this is not the most exciting writing project I have ever done.
My most exciting writing project was the one I did two years ago. I received a writing assignment. The topic was comparative religion. Religion is my favorite subject and I have written so many things on this topic. I did not even have to do a research on this topic. This eas exciting as I enjoyed writing on something that did not involve reading resource materials.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

JoeMilford
I think that, with your post, that you really point out the difference between writing for personal pleasure and care and writing for a paycheck or necessity. doing research can either be inspiring or tedious, depending upon how we feel about the subject. right? In any case, I am also very interested in reading and writing about religion--what religion were you writing about, if you do not mind me asking, and what was the context of your article?

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

@joeMilford I am a Hindu and I have taken interest in Buddhism since my teenage days. The article was about comparing Hinduism and Buddhism. I am from Nepal and the Buddha was born in Nepal. Nepal is also predominantly a Hindu nation (about 80 percent population is Hindu). Therefore, writing on Hinduism and Buddhism came naturally to me.

I wish you good luck with the new writing project you are doing for your client, and as you said it's the highest paying project you have ever done, I hope you do an excellent job, so that you would get more people being referred to you.

My advice to you is to take time and do a great job, you don't need to rush the work unless it's time sensitive. Just relax and flow smoothly with the writing and you would be surprised with what you have come up with in no distant time.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Thanks for giving a great advice. In my experience, writing is the lowest paying job that you can find online. If you write for print article, you can easily earn $50-$100 for an article, however, it is quite impossible to get more than $20 for 1000 words articles. However, sometimes I am just lucky to get ebook writing jobs, which pays good money. Recently, I wrote an ebook for a client. He seems to have liked my work and has again hired me to do another work.

I think my most ambitious work was a movie script, which despite not being finalized by a series of events, became very special to me because that was where I really had the opportunity to improve my writing skills. I still haven't given up finishing it because this is still in my plans... But at the moment I prefer to leave the project hibernating.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

wiseagent.
Writing these is very tough! I tried my hand at it once or twice, and I am no good at it, to be sure. My hat is off to you for being so ambitious. What was the plot about? I am curious. When do you plan on picking it back up? Don't let it hibernate for too long because it might just fade into the wallpaper if you are not careful. I've had several writing projects like that, and I regret not working on them when I should have in order to strike while the iron was hot, so to speak.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I tried writing a movie script once but I jumbled everything up and got lost along the way. Movie script writing is not an easy task or something that you just do anyhow.

It takes detailed plotting so as to give the story a good shape and logical ending to the subject matter being written about. My unfinished script is still with me, maybe one day I will get to finish it hopefully.

Getting the job of guest blogging happen to be the highlight of my career and I have to admit that I got better after then.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

The highlight of my writing career has been my Michigan website. It was a blog/forum and I went around and cataloged my city and the cities around my city and I would do various reviews on the places that I had visited. And the traffic on that website was insane, I just wish that I would have figured out something different for hosting and not killed it off. Because I would probably have a good income right now!

Soulwatcher,
This is a really cool idea, and it sounds like it would be a very fun project on top of that. This is the kind of writing project which I think that you could really be proud of. Is there any way you could resurrect this idea and set it up again knowing what you know now? Honestly, if you could afford to get this up and running again, i personally think that you should because that traffic sounds promising and could really pay off for you!

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Soulwatcher
Sadly there is no way that I could get it up and running again, I put over $3,000 into that website if you count all of the gas I spent and all the dining out and all of the hosting and graphics design, etc. These days I am dirt poor, and I know some of you might say "You can't be that poor because your website looks awesome"

And the truth is I have a minimal investment on my website because I did a lot of the work myself and I am paying $9 a month for hosting. I did have a VPS but I am about to move and I am going to be super poor once I move and there is no way I will be able to afford a VPS.

P.S. back then when I had the Michigan Website I had a lot of money. These days I have lint and IOU's in my pocket lol.

that's really good that you enjoy talking about your things on your website. I must confess that it's a way not to lose interest on what one enjoys doing.

I agree and I feel the same way. Nothing is as satisfying as writing for yourself in my opinion. I haven't really felt what writing for a big publication feels like so maybe that may give an equal type of feeling and fulfillment, but I would say that writing for yourself sure has to be up there as well because you get to see your own content working for you and not just for others. It's also fun to see others reacting to it and knowing that the entire thing was done under your control and didn't have to be approved by anyone else.

I haven't done any writing project before but the topic that excites me and what I want to write about is on business, financial, motivational, and inspirational. I love reading on those topics and want also to write what I have learned even though I struggle in applying to myself what I've read.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

The first step is always the most difficult one, believe me because I'm telling you from experience. I know what and how hard it was for me to pen down my first poem. I read far and wide on anything about poetry that would help me do a good job but I always find it difficult to start writing until I decided to end it and wrote one. Now I have over 25 poems.

You have read on things that interest you, the knowledge is already there in your brain, all it needs is for you to access it and good use of it.

I fully agree with you, it is always hard to start doing something, because you are not used to it and might even be scared to step out of your comfort zone, however when you've had a conflict with whatever task you've set to do, you realize that it's actually not that hard to do it and can be achieved.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I think a lot of people get started this way regardless of what activity it is. They usually see it in others and want to find out if they can do it for themselves. I think it is a good first step to take and sometimes wanting it is enough just to get started. By writing about it you will probably also learn a lot yourself and as long as you are transparent with your audience and don't claim you know more than you do then you can be very successful.

Writing on a topic I love is always exciting for me, At least I know that I have what will keep me busy for a long time.It helps tasked and stimulate my brain which is one good thing I loved about writing.Writing on a topic one loves makes one think outside the box and draw inspiration from one's environment, subconscious and also from abstract things.

The most exciting writing project that I have done so far was when we asked to write short story for our finals' project in one of my subject in college. That was actually I think one of the highlight of my college life aside from the never ending thesis and research papers. I was able to write 3 short stories in just a week to think that a short story is not really a short one What Is The Most Exciting Writing Project You Have Ever Done? and even though our professor back then just asked for only one. I was so happy because I accomplished the task much earlier from the deadline allowing me to take more time and to concentrate on other task like the thesis and research paper. And then, my work got the highest score with a note, "Keep it up! Continue writing." So childish, I know. Hehe What Is The Most Exciting Writing Project You Have Ever Done? but that was something special for me.

I love short stories, actually! I have found that it is really tough to write a decent one of these. You have to juggle so many plot elements in such a small space. I think it would be easier to write a poem, or even a whole novel, than it would be to write one awesome short story. However, I know everyone's approach to writing is different, so this could just be my take on it. I think that I have only written one in my whole life which I was proud of. to be honest. I think it is cool that your professor encouraged you to keep writing, and if you enjoy it this much, then you definitely should!

The most exciting project I've done is when I was in my high school. We have a written project about our life and we must put the past, present and future us. To me I find it exciting because I am the main character of the story. So I did my best to make the outcome awesome. Gladly, I manage to passed it at the right time even if I want to put more experience happened and will happen in my life.

I still teach this project in my college courses--we call it the Personal Narrative. Students are encouraged to write about themselves and to come up with a thesis statement which makes their own personal experiences relative to a larger audience. I think that this is an excellent assignment because it really makes the writers consider how their own lives and experiences can be relevant to others in more the an ego-driven "selfie" narcissistic kind of way, if that makes sense.

The most exciting writing project I had recently was about the last post I made to my personal website. Having received the best training on getting a website ranked at the top of Google and other search engines, I tried putting those tips into practice by writing up to the standard which is suitable and sufficient for SEO. I learned to write up to 1000 words at least whenever I want to make posts to my website and I did exactly.

My poison happens to be poetry, poems drives me crazy. I have written about 20 poems and I'm still looking forward putting down more before the year runs out. Poems projects is my favorite and hopefully I won't be getting tired of it, since I still have lots of sources I derive my inspiration from.

I also enjoy doing pieces on sports but not like I normally do with poems. I think it was during my secondary school days that my literature tutor made a huge impression on me and ever since I haven't slacked one bit off of it.

This is definitely my poison too, and I run an entire blog devoted to publishing poets. I have published in many journals, and my second collection of poems just came out this year, so, suffice it to say, I have the poetry addiction/affliction as well! I hope you do not get tired of poetry, and there is so much good poetry out there, and such an array and variety of styles and approaches to poetry that I think there is something in this genre to be enjoyed by everyone!

I usually dislike writing projects, because they require researching a subject way too much and it can become boring fast, because you're focused on a single thing for a long period of time and you should be careful to extract the right information, especially if someone is going to proof read it. The only good thing about such projects is that you can learn a lot of information this way, by constantly reading information on a certain subject over and over again.

For me it would have to be my blog. When I first got started I really didn't know what I was doing or what it would amount to, but I just knew that writing articles for it was fun and I found it therapeutic. I enjoyed the topic I was writing about and I liked that I didn't have to submit it to anyone for approval. The only downside was that I didn't really know if I was going to get any sort of payment for it but eventually I did get some money for it and I like that I was able to have fun getting there.

I have been very excited, at times, and have felt very inspired by my blog as well. Sometimes, I feel like I really "nail" it with the content and really deliver for myself and my audience. I like creating content which I can be proud of, and I try to do my best whenever I write, but i know that on some days I am better than others (regardless of my attempts to be consistently awesome, lol). i also identify with what you are saying about have freedom in your writing and expression because of the blog--I think that's really cool, and i also feel that freedom to when i blog, and i love when my audience reacts to that.

My most exciting writing project ever has to be back in college. Am not talking about term papers, am talking about my final year writing project.

Projects can be very boring atimes due to its extreme research nature but mine turned out to be different, I think its mostly because I loved the topic i was writing on: the societal effects of social media in modern times. It took a lot of my time and at the end of the day it was worth it. I had a very good score.

So there you have it that was my most exciting writing project ever.

I think that this is a really interesting topic to discuss and explore, and I bet that your paper was really interesting. I always loved being challenged by professors and my peers, in college, to really push myself to write better and better content. Having a mentor or fellow colleagues push you on your projects is, in my mind, an ideal situation. it sounds like you were really passionate about your project and that you really got into it--that's awesome.

My most exciting writing project was when I was working on a cooking eBook. I love cooking in general, I like the process of creating and coming up with recipes. I loved trying out different ingredients and coming up with a yummy recipe. This project was practical and I had my book in the kitchen trying out different things. This did not feel like work for me, even when I was writing, I was enjoying myself. I finished this cooking e-book way ahead of deadline. It's really true what they say, the formula to success is working on something that doesn't feel like work.

This is a really cool subject, actually, and I love cooking as well. I think that i am too insecure to write a cooking ebook, and I would worry that my techniques are too basic, but I do get a lot of compliments, constantly, on my work in the kitchen, so I have considered this. When you do something that you enjoy that does not feel like work, and it actually gives you pleasure AND pays the bills, then that is the ideal work situation, I'd say!

I had a project for academic purposes that required me to answer a question using examples from three books that were chosen for me. The subject was an intellectual as a person so I had to answer what the word means, who is considered an intellectual and why. I had to show why characters in the books could be considered intellectuals and what is something they had in common.

For now at least, the most exciting thing that I ever wrote will probably be the first one. I was asked to give a sermon in our local church. I honestly don't know how to do it at first, and this is where I also discovered I love writing or at least create something that the listeners already know and make it interesting to listen to again. I wrote my own sermon into something of an analogy type of article. It is special for me because I used the tool that I felt I know a lot about and it is engineering (civil) and I am glad I was able to pull it. And I also discovered I can comfortably speak in front of a congregation and deliver the sermon that I wrote. So that is what i considered the most exciting thing I wrote because that stamps the start of the path i am about to take.

That is pretty exciting, and I would think that that would be a pretty tough audience to speak to! I'd be super nervous doing that! I never write about religion--I know that I do tell stories or pass on anecdotes of a spiritual nature at times, but standing up at the altar and the podium and speaking to a group of people who have (hopefully) come there that day for religious or spiritual guidance would be a bit daunting to me. Good for you for doing this--I know i would not attempt it!

$3 for 500 words is not a bad payment if you are just starting out. When I was starting I used to write 500 words just for $1. I once wrote 100 articles with 500 words for $100. It was a tiring work and under paying work, but I accepted because I wanted money badly. I have even written 6000 word ebook just for $6.

I appreciate your post here, but explain to me further how you can make five dollars on your blog just by posting? I have set up AdSense, but I am not having very much luck with that because visitors are not clicking on the ads, so I was just curious if you are doing something different or if you had any suggestions for how to generate this "five dollars per post"? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Our school in high school required us to write a diary every day. We did that from our 1st year - 4th year. I didn't really mind that before but looking back and reading what I wrote made me realize that it was an inspirational project for me. Reading what I wrote as a teenager made me compare to what I am now.

I joined an essay writing competition back when I was in high school. Instead of getting idea from my practice write-ups because I know it's much easier, I took risk on writing a totally new one with new style and new approach. Because of what I did, winning is no longer on my expectations. Nevertheless, I thank God because I still won that contest and represented our division to regional level.

Oh man...essay-writing! I have written and graded so many of these over the years, as an English Instructor, that it makes my brain just hurt to think about it. That is so cool that your un-conventional essay made it to the regional level! You should definitely be proud because I bet the competition was tough. I never really enjoyed writing essays--I am more of a poetry and fiction guy--but I can seriously appreciate those who are good at this art. I guess that one of my blogs is mainly an essay series though, if that counts.

I've done a lot of exciting writing projects primarily because I'm relatively new to this field and I love learning and researching on a wide range of topics. However, the most exciting project I've done was to search for all types of events, seminars, and training in our country and make a 100-word description on each of them. The articles were for a local events website. It was one of the easiest writing work I've done and also one of the most rewarding. I just loved to see the website fill up with my posts. I actually felt like I owned the website. It was nice to see all the ads on the site, too. Sadly, two years after that stint, the website has been abandoned and the domain is now up for sale.

This is a cool idea and project, and I would wager that it was very popular upon its completion. What types of seminars and events did you focus on? In other words, was there a unifying theme here which brought all of these events under one category or umbrella, so to speak? It seems like this could be the type of site or project which could be constantly re-newed, either annually or seasonally. Have you ever thought about continuing this so that it becomes a regular service that you can offer? That would give you a niche, right?

The most exciting writing project I've ever worked on was about the drying water aquifers in the the different regions in an around our state. You know aquifers right? Large water reservoirs beneath the earth's surface. Now these water pots don't regenerate and as the population rise still accelerating and industrial setups on the rise, special care must be taken by every government to make sure these life giving bodies aren't used beyond its recharging ability. I had also added a paragraph regarding the possibility of these aquifers being polluted by excessive prevalence of harsh chemicals and wastages, being disposed at places where the land portion is thin enough to let these wastes enter the aquifers.

The project was self envisaged and was for the purpose of creating awareness among the local people. It was exciting, also I got to learn a lot and was able to contribute towards the society in the smallest way.

This isn't strictly a writing project, but I've always loved the writing process for the film races my friends and I compete in. Essentially, we're given required elements, and we have 24 hours to write, shoot and edit a short film no more than 6 minutes in length.

It's always exciting to sit in a room with some other writers and start hashing out a script from nothing but a prop, character and location underneath extreme time constraints. I think I've learned more about writing by competing in these races than what I've read or watched on YouTube.

Whether or not this is "strictly" a writing project, this is assuredly a project which involves the mechanisms that we use in writing, or the basic creative process, in general! Being under that competitive deadline pressure must really have an incredible effect on the creative process; when I was in a Writers Workshop and getting my MFA, we had to produce like this week for week and compete with our peers constantly who were aggressively critiquing our work. This process really made my writing, and my overall approach to creativity, stronger and more diligent.

Travel Magazine Articles are the best for me. I get to travel to different scenic places, interview people and sample their local delicacies. But such opportunities doesn't come along that often. So I make the most of it everytime I get to do travel articles.

Now you are just making me jealous, lol. I would love to be able to travel the world and write about what I could see and find there. I simply do not have the budget to do so, and I am not sure how to even find someone who would be willing to sponsor me, to be honest. I do feel that, with my creativity and love of writing, if I ever got this opportunity that I would embrace it wholeheartedly and really produce some awesome content and stories. It would seem that a constantly changing environment of people, languages, cultures, landscapes, seascapes, terrain, and cuisines could be a source of boundless inspiration yielding multiple topics to write about....

This is a bit of a hard decision for me to make, as I'm somewhat of an easily excitable person, haha. I take joy in even the most insignificant of projects, so I have a whole list of things I could go through.

I'd say that the most fun/excitement I've probably had was while I was taking film classes in college. It was great getting to work with whole crews of people on multiple projects, each vastly different than the last. Probably the most fun was a mockumentary we had made in the style of wildlife safari documentary, with the "animals" being different stereotypes for college students.

I think that it is totally cool that you are "excitable" about your projects and enthusiastic about whatever subject or endeavor you are trying to tackle. That is a great trait to have, and I find that when I am around people like that that I also tend to be more positive towards my own work too. The college where I teach has a great film program, and many of the students here are enrolled in classes which cover all aspects of producing a film. They are constantly working on their projects, and it is pretty inspiring, at times, watching what they come up with.

This would have to take me a ways back to when I got my first real newspaper job fresh out of college, and man was it different then. It did not last too long but I remember getting so excited to be published in a real paper versus anything like a school paper. Kind of wish I could go back to those days a little bit.

"This would have to take me a ways back to when I got my first real newspaper job fresh out of college…"

That sounds like a fantastic experience to have had! I used to write for my school newspaper as well, but that was just in High School. I had looked into going to college for journalism, but unfortunately that didn't work out due to certain circumstances. I still like to engage in some amateur journalistic writing though.

If you don't mind me asking, why did your work at the newspaper job not last too long? I don't mean to poke and prod, just interested.

I guess the most exciting writing project that I have experienced up to now is the final project in my English class. We were grouped and instructed to create a magazine that provides information about our area. It should be a guide for tourists that would want to travel here and it is complete and detailed. I just hope the teacher wasn't selling our ideas after we handed it to her. And if she does, I hope the school catches her because it is against their rules.

When I was in school, I wrote poetry, but that's in the past. But I love to read, so I always wanted to write a little children's book to leave my mark on the world. I even have an Illustrator friend who offered to draw pictures for my book. And I decided to put it off until better times. Actually, I want to admit that I have a flaw that prevents me from writing a book. I make a lot of stylistic and grammatical mistakes. Now there are various programs and editors that can fix this. But it still stops me from moving towards my goal. That's why when I decided to create my own site, I had to turn to blog post writing service to write good content for it. You probably find my dream funny, because how can a person write a book without having a writing talent? But I will try to do this with the help of writing professionals.

I admit that I never did the projects at the university alone because I am an extra volunteer and I work and I don't manage to do them all.
For this reason, I always turn to a company that offers paper writing services and they help me. Every time they did my projects, they were something different from the rest of my colleagues and the teachers didn't understand how I knew how to do something like that. Maybe this is cheating, but it helped me a lot and I'm not sorry at all.
Has anyone here ever tried paperwritingservice.com ? How was your experience?

I agree with you. To write an essay, you need to spend a lot of time and effort if there is no experience. To learn good writing, you need to do a lot
and love it. The most important thing is to choose the right essay service. Now
we live in such a rhythm that there simply is not enough time to be in time. I
prefer simply to buy an essay https://www.wiseessays.com/buy-an-essay.
Essay services help most students, but not all services have professional
writers, which must be considered when choosing.
