Am the ignoring type. The most lethal weapon to a person who is negatively reviewing you for deformation purposes is to ignore them. Let them think what they want but I will ignore them like plague

Thank you sir. I was just scrolling down the comments to see what will be the best thing to deal with people who are giving destructive criticism, and your comment helped me with it.
I just encountered a person who seems to be good at making people look bad and I know his comments are not intended to help me or anyone else. And so I think I'll just ignore him and don't let him ruin my inner peace. Thank you so much.

Am grateful it helps. Never ever let people have the pleasure of receiving from you their intended results. Behave in the opposite and those people will hurt more.

you are right about ignoring. If you ignore, you do not have to deal with the stress related to receiving negative feedback. However, sometimes just ignoring negative reviews can harm you. For instance, if you receive negative review another person checking your service sees the negative review, it might affect his perception about your service.

That's a really good point, being affected with criticism just bring pleasure to the one who criticize. In this situation fighting back with silence brings more damage to the people who criticize while you just go on your normal work stress free.

If you are selling products and services online and receive a lot of negative reviews it might damage your reputation. Generally speaking, no one wants to buy from a seller who has received a lot of negative reviews. It is true that you cannot make everyone happy, therefore, one or two negative reviews are ok, however, if you receive more negative reviews than the positive reviews, your sales will be affected.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

jennyfermanuel
Yes. One or two negative reviews are ok. And ignoring it would help. Sometimes we know and we feel whether it is a destructive or constructive criticism. If it is the latter, then we need to accept and admit our shortcomings and use it as an inspiration to do great next time. But then if you think it tends to just destroy you and your reputation, then it might be a good weapon to just ignore it and prove them they are wrong, without making them feel that you are affected to whatever they say. If you are selling products online, those destructive criticism won't win if you know and you find a way to prove that that person is wrong.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

When I am buying online I always look for a seller that has 100 percent positive reviews. I might sometime buy from a seller that has 97 or 98 percent positive reviews, however, I never buy from a seller than has less than 90 percent negative reviews. I always ask myself what if I fall into the 10 percent buyers who were not satisfied with the products.

I couldn't agree more. Most of the time, I just ignore negative comments. Though there are times when I used those negative comments to improve my writing.

PS. I don't know why people don't practice this: 'Promote what you love instead of bashing what you hate.'

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

People are just people and behave like people. They tend to love fights, quarrels and criticism rather than love, encourage and assistance. Once you understand them then the easier you live and avoid much stress.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I agree with these. Sometimes ignoring is never a great decision nor is completely believing in what the critics say. I love to balance and seek the real facts that I can work with.

I agree with you How do you deal with negative reviews? Not all battles are worth fighting for and it is same with destructive criticisms. These people will just be happy if you give them attention and they are not worth it to have it. It is better to focus on people who are supporting you and giving you constructive comments.

This is how I learnt to cope with criticism.
Wear an imaginable umbrella; let all criticism fall on the umbrella and fall off leaving you dry.

That is the easiest way to deal with criticism. On creative advice, this is how I learnt to deal with it.

Let people advice you but do not let them decide for you.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Jenniferdainty
That is an extremely useful umbrella How do you deal with negative reviews? According to the movie "Princess Diary", no one could make you feel inferior without your consent. We could apply this in all the negative criticisms we are receiving and will receive. No matter how hard we try, we really cannot please everyone.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

There are some people who are very unpleasant. However hard you try to please them, you will end up disappointed. Some see life in a negative way. A half full bottle or glass is half empty to them.

I love the last piece you said that although we value their opinion, it is up to us to decide. We can never let people dictate us but we can't be too wrapped up with ourselves not listen to other's opinion or point of view. It still takes sound judgment.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Let people advice you but do not let them decide for you.

This really is a good advise. After all, what do they know about you and your plans? Some are just really out there seeking to destroy what beautiful things you have. IF you do not let them then they can't. So open up your umbrellas and let their envy for your success slide off.

I agree it is good to ignore if the reviews are too negative it is always best to avoid them. I always have some great takeouts from reviews that are delivered in an understandable and honest manner. Corrections can be very valuable when implemented clearly.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Steve5
Yes, you're right. Avoiding is more helpful than reading them again and again. We usually become distracted at the mere thought of someone's reactions. We should instead focus on our work and keep improving what we've written.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Youngshark
This is so true. Keeping your focus on the negativity is a huge distraction that needs to be avoided at all costs. One should always aim at keeling their mind fresh with ideas which are cut short by such negativities.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

That is very well said.We have nothing to do with negative people but to ignore them. Even we tried to explain things to them they wont listen to us because for them they are right. So why should we able to explain them if they are already close their minds. Best thing to do is ignore them.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

The best option is to ignore and move on. You have your life in your hands. Time flies very fast and you are the pilot. You are the architect and negative reviews should not pull you down

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

mark8625
Exactly no need to confront them. It would be a waste of time. Just focus on your business and do anything to improve you more. These people do that because literally they are not happy in their lives and what they wanted is to let you be part of their unhappy life.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

And so do I. The worst act of despise, is to ignore the other. When you answer back, then you know the other will fire back, especially if it's a very annoying one. So, save some useless time and effort, and don't transform yourself into another big mouth, let them think whatever they want, and keep living and doing whatever you think is right.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I agree with you if will just add fuel to the fire if you get affected and defend yourself openly from negativities.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Exactly. You will give them an importance they don't deserve, and you will be keeping the conflict active. Eventually, they will get tired of not being noticed, and they will drop the arguing or whatever they're complaining about. I know, it's annoying, I've being there, but put them in the forgettable spot and you will see amazing results.

Negative reviews are always there. There will really be people that are not always satisfied with what you have done. Take it positively. Make it as a constructive criticism. This will make you improve.

Constructive criticism is beneficial. Whereas destructive ones is no good. Just handle it patiently. Focus on the positive side always.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Negativity will pull you down while positivity will elevate you. Choosing between the two becomes paramount. Negative reviews shoyld be avoided and ignored.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yes! You are right. I agree with what you said. Negativity will pull you down. Positiveness will elevate you. Lukewarm is in between. Neither hot or cold.

Everyone of us doesn't want negativity. Let's just do the golden rule. Don't do to others what you don't want others to do to you.

I usually try and ask - is there something that could have been done better, or a way we can fix things to make them right (if their complaint is legitimate). Sadly though there are some people who just complain for the sake of it...anyone who has worked in customer service has probably encountered those kinds of people!

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yeah, asking the reason for that is one of the ways that you can discover the places that you have to improve on. The reality of life is that you are not going to have a smooth sail of things, but being able to own up to responsibilities remains one of the ways that you can make things work.

If I was a buyer and I was looking at a product that a seller is selling with bad reviews, I'd try to talk to him about it. Bad reviews are prevalent everywhere. That's why I don't trust food review sites like Yelp or Foursquare anymore. I trust word of mouth more than some anonymous people on the internet. The internet has gotten to the point where most of what you read online can't be trusted to be true.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

anchoreztin
Me toon I dont really trust on line review but it does really help because you have a little idea about the establishment or business. I also dont give my full trust on yelp and foursquare because I saw a documentary that there are medium and big business that pays people to rate them with higher number of stars or scores.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

rlpzbeermoney
Maybe if you're just looking for a quick bite to eat in an unfamiliar area and you don't know anyone to show you around then it's justified using these sites. But only as a stopgap to the dilemma of picking where to eat.
Even product reviews on Amazon are a mixed bag of who to trust. You really have to rely on the people with pictures and well detailed reviews to see if the product is worth it and trouble free.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Alymae
Yes. That is what I do. I only go for products that has a detailed reviews and with pictures too. I want to go for those with detailed reviews because I think they are more trustworthy than those short reviews. Sometimes there are reviews I don't believe because they might be paid to review it good or bad.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

amelia88
Yup, I've even seen people leave bad reviews for companies on Yelp because they don't agree with the business owner's political beliefs and so forth - nothing to do with the service or the food. It ends up being hard to trust those sites to be legitimate when that's the case.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

You have a great point. As of the moment, it is really hard to trust reviews just by looking at some sites.

From my point of view, I don't think that there is anything wrong with getting a bad review as long as the customer that gave the review is very honest in what he or she has to say about your business products and services. Personally, I see bad reviews as a good thing in way to getting the flaw in your business exposed to your awareness if you didn't purposely allow the flaw to exist. So, the bad will will get to amend the flaw in your business and make it almost perfect and flawless.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Alymae
Yes. I also don't see anything bad about it. But what about the reviews that are derogatory? When you know that the person is being intentional about what he/ she is saying in the internet. How will you deal with people like that? There are always people out there who makes bad comment to make trouble for you and your business. Such as those rivals who doesn't play fair.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

jennyfermanuel
What if the person intent to insult you? There are those people who are good at making the person look bad. I mean we know that there are destructive and constructive criticism. What if the person just wanted to make you feel bad about yourself and not really to motivate you to do good.

I wanted to know what would be the appropriate response to them? Do we have to ignore it or answer it which might escalate the problem, as what @alymae stated or stand out for ourselves?

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

amelia88
If there are insults I think sometimes it can just be best to ignore them. If I see something online that's filled with bad language or inappropriate words, I usually think to myself that it reflects more on the individual posting such hateful things and not on the business.

Some people are never happy, sadly!

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Youngshark
Yeeah. There is this tendency for certain people to ways disagree with anything even when someone has posted quality content. Some people just do not know how to appreciate others or correct them in a courteous manner. It would be best to just ignore them completely.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Martinsx1
On no account should you engage in war of words on the internet because no matter how you look at it based on trying to justify your actions and your abuser, it will certainly look bad in the eyes of everyone. Just like I said, don't engage the person but allow other people who see the comments to talk for you. Just focus on doing what you do best and improve on your own product and services, allow them to be the one that speaks for you the most.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Chinet23
It will make no sense to argue and try to justify your stand. I will only argue with someone who agree to disagree with me. There's no point engaging in war of words because it will only aggravate the situation and will not resolve anything.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

negative reviews can be helpful sometimes. Because when you get a negative review, it helps you to improve the quality of your product or service. However, there are people who give negative reviews just for the sake of giving negative reviews. All they want to do is pull your legs. These kinds of reviews are bad for your business. If you begin to receive such reviews, people will stop believing on your product and services. No one wants to buy from a person who has more negative reviews and the positive reviews.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Getting bad review means you have things to improve. There is always a room for improvement so do not feel bad if you receive a negative review. Make them an inspiration to work harder. Do not change a person opinion it is a hard thing to do just focus on yourself. Do not expect all people will respect you. Remember that they are not the one you are writing for so don't give them your precious attention.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

A negative review is what we need to be better. We should take this as an opportunity to improve ourselves or work. What we need to do is to listen to our customers. Communication is the key. By communicating with them and asking for their explanation, you will find out where their negative feedbacks come from. In this way, we can establish a good relationship, gain their trust, and make them believe that we can do more for the improvement.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

aeon
I think much better to ignore it, but don't step aside the point of view of the reviewers. If you know that its all insult words and no suggestion, you have to completely ignore it. Sometimes the reviews will help you to make your work better and find the missing part to your work.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yeah, you are right just block the negativity. It will just ruin your mood. Focus on yourself and your writing. They are just insecure do not mind them.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

That's right. If you allow your self to drag it down by negative things, it will just confuse you and will look paranoid while you're writing. You will just always consider what people said or their positive comments and soon you will lose your identity as a writer.

This is a very good thread. Reading at the post and comments, many people will benefit from their words. Others should take these good advices.
For me, I am a very passive person, whenever I receive a negative review, I don't argue with the person. I read the review through and through and I ask myself what may have cause it for that person to say that. I look for his motive. I always try to see where is he coming from. Sometime people may review negatively if they can really see that there is something wrong. Take it as a constructive criticism. Improve on what is wrong with you than to sulk. While if you can see that there is nothing wrong and he just want to make you feel down, then just ignore it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I would say that negative reviews should be taken like a positive one. They giving a bed reviews for you to be able to see the things not good in it and you should be more motivated to make it as better that you had before. Personally if I would receive but reviews I would pursue myself to make it better next time.

This is exactly how you should react, to be honest. If you get a negative review then the best thing to do is to ensure you read it, take on feedback and then try to improve your business, service or product using that feedback.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

This is a very good way to go about reacting to reviews given on your products and services by your clients. The thank you would definitely give a feeling of being heard to the client and it gives some sort of confidence and value.

Take the review with good mind whether it's a positive or negative reviews and then work on improving where there is need for you to improve or upgrade.

Honestly I just try to accept what happened. And just move on. And focus on the good things. You can see that some of the time it may not be easy to work around with the negative reviews. But if you stay with the consistent performance. I am sure that negative reviews can get shadowed by the good reviews. So keep working on finding the proper clients and get the reviews more positive on the gigs.

Agree! It's as simple as that. This current generation has been known for stressing ourselves out for such minute things. It's so inconsequential yet we obsess over the small stuff. We have to learn to cope with negative words because it's part of business and part of life.

In everything that we do, it seems unavoidable to receive negative criticism. No matter how much you think you did well on something, there would always be people who will have a negative comment about you or your work. My reaction will actually depend on how the comment was said or made. In a way, you can sense if that person is commenting to just attack you or make you feel low about yourself. If this is the case, I can just ignore it. But if the comment is made with concern and you know that the person is just guiding you on how you can make your work better, be glad and learn from it.

Negative reviews and feedback are always there. Basically, I am the type of person that just ignore negative reviews and feedback from bashers. However, I do not ignore negative feedback and reviews from my customers. I answer them in a polite and courteous way with appropriate solution to their problem on the items they received.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I think that's true - even for companies that are seemingly "perfect", there are always going to be some people who complain. I think politeness and courtesy go a long way in trying to ensure that a person who is complaining ends up feeling like their complaint has been attended to!

I would have to agree with you. Basically, empathy should always be there when negotiating with customers and answering their concerns. They should feel that we empathize with them. If we continue doing this, our customers will feel that we care and we want the best satisfaction we could offer with the products and the services as well.

When I do any work I always make sure that it is of the highest quality.I'm always open to correction, however I don't accept derogatory remarks or rudeness, especially if clear instructions were not given in the first place. When this happens and I feel the person just wants to be difficult and insulting, I ignore the person. This is the best treatment for such people, if you engage them you just fuel the hate.

Sometimes if you open yourself up for reviews, you'll get negative ones which really are baseless and the best way to counter this is by asking a friend to make a good positive review in response to the negative review. This would negate the negativity and convert the review thread to a positive one.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I've never gotten a negative review for any of my blogs or websites. But if I did, I would have to read carefully and pick apart the criticism. The person might be telling me something for my own good. A negative review is not always a bad thing. If it was constructive criticism, for sure I would respond back. If it's something I needed to correct or fix, I would want the person and the public to know the matter was handled properly. If it's just a person being "nasty" but they don't really have a legitimate or valid complaint, I would point that out. I mean ... if I'm going to be openly accused of doing something, the least the person could do is make sure I'm doing it! I would defend myself.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

That's a positive way of looking at it! Using any negative reviews as an opportunity for growth rather than feeling like you're being criticized is really mature - it's a refreshing approach to a complaint!

The context of the situation that was highlighted here, as per my understanding is those negative reviews which are derogatory to the point of insults. I don't have to think it through I'll just brush it off because there was no real intention to help. I will only listen to people with sincerity and good intentions.

For me, it depends on the person who is giving the bad review. If he is just some stranger giving judgement to all the things other people is doing, I would rather ignore it rather than to answer it because it might make things worst. I'll just show him that he messed up with the wrong person. But if it came from a special person, I'll hear and acknowledge it. I will use it as an inspiration to do better and develop more of what I am doing. I will not answer it because answering it could make things worst that could also destroy my inner peace. Also if you'll answer it, it's just like you're admitting it that what he is saying is true, but since you know what is true inside of you and you know that you can do better, you should better stay calm and quiet. They won't listen anyway, they'll just continue on giving bad reviews about your work.

There's sadly no "perfect" way of dealing with a particular review. I have never gotten any really terrible reviews (luckily) but I've seen businesses that have some. For example, if you just go through companies on Facebook you can see their reviews there and you can easily come across quite angry individuals.

I do believe that every customer is allowed to express their feelings and experience but there's a limit - you shouldn't straight out insult any company unless they've done something terrible like steal your money.

If my own company would get such a review I'd most likely reply but in a completely polite and calm manner.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I've received a lot of negative comments in the past and until now. In many cases, people can see if a review is fair or not. I'll probably choose to ignore negative reviews that weren't based on actual experience with my product or service but I'll respond to those that are valid. If you look at sites like TripAdvisors, many property owners deal with negative reviews by apologizing for the bad experience and promising to improve on their services. In Facebook, some business owners counter low star ratings by 5-star ratings which bring the average up. It's better to focus on positive actions instead of engaging on a word war with a reader or anyone else who has nothing better to do.

However, with bad reviews, I just ignore them all the time because for me, it's better to focus on my performance for my other customers to give a positive review. At least with that, I will be able to make up with the small amount of bad reviews.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I agree. Negative reviews are for seeing what might have gone wrong. But we shouldn't think too much of them. Often it's just the customer being disagreeable. Just to complain because they can. Hahaha!

I personally experienced some negative feedbacks myself. What I usually do is to ignore those people and use my mistakes to take another action that may change or correct them. That way, I could show them that there are room for improvement and that I can do so much better. But there are some other people who are made just to let you down because they know they can. The best thing to deal with that is show them what you're capable of and show them that you are not affected, move on and continue with what you're doing.

Many of you may think that criticism has no good effects into the particular thing that has been pin pointed by it, if we take look into the bigger picture we must consider it as a bliss. Why? because we can learn a lot with it, we can improve our product and service in accepting criticism. It tells us our weak sides so that we can strengthen those weak points. Yes we must answer criticism to seek some answers like; why I am being criticised? what is the complain? what is the bad side? Some people gives us hint of what to do, we must gather all the data that we received because of criticism and analyze it so that we can make a proper action to eliminate the problem. In life, criticism is essential because humans are not an absolute being we make mistakes and we are empowered when we work with each other. That's why we must keep in improving because of criticism, don't cry like a babywhen youare being criticised instead prove yourself to them that you are better than they expected.

These is something already affiliated with a person's life. Not everyone will like you, some will criticised and hate you too. We have to consider that its not always good feedback we can get. I guess its good too to hear from them about negative points of view they have in mind, in that part you can learn and improve ourself. But never let anyone underestimate you. Know when its time to ignore it and when its time to speak out. Use your words in a professional way.

I deal with negative reviews by explaining them the truth in a nice way because some of them misunderstood something, but most of the time I only ignore those reviews. I always consider that our work will always not be perfect therefore it will gain negative reviews and also I always use those negative reviews as a tool for improvement. You know, we cannot please everyone no matter how good you are or how good work is or no matter how hard you work for it. But I will always respect those kind of people. Though some reviews are really hurtful but we can't do anything about it, it is how they see your work and all people have different taste and satisfaction.

At the first glance, it's really a bad feeling to read negative reviews about me but I don't take it personally. You should be professional and embrace negative reviews. Just think of it as a positive one since you'll learn from your mistakes, what should be corrected, what should be your next move to be better with your career. There's no perfect in this world and even one of the richest people in the world failed. All of us made a mistake but we can correct if once we learn what have gone wrong.

A few negative reviews are not bad since it can help you improve your business or work. Some negative reviews can be constructive criticisms. But if you are getting a lot of it, then there might be something wrong with your business. Listen to your customers and ask for their explanations. If you think you need help, ask some experts or anyone who might be able to help you resolve their concerns. In this way, you can redeem yourself and rebuild the reputation that you have for your business.

Actually, I am always relying on the reviews about the website that I will be putting my time on. So I would know that the website is really legit and it won't just waste my time. But I am not just relying on one review because there are some people who are just bluffing and putting some unreal reviews.

I agree. I take a look at the general reviews instead of just a few. Also, it helps to know a lot about the website you're looking at. That way, you can better decide on whether you trust it.

Negative remarks are very useful for us to improve our work. Sometimes customers' remarks are on to the point of being an insult. However, we cannot all please everybody and as much as possible I must ask them what are the things they really don't like on my product so I can give my justification. If that customer won't listen, then its not my problem anymore. The negative remarks are still much appreciated so I can make adjustments if a large number of customers will like it that way so I can still benefit from it also.

I agree that negative reviews are part of our everyday lives if we own businesses. It is just unavoidable. So I think the best way to approach is it to read these comments. If there is some truth to what they are saying and it can help improve our products and services, we should listen to them. If it is just hateful speech and there's nothing we can do about their comments, ignore them.

Before, I'm always defensive of my actions every time I will hear negative comments about me or the service/s that we are rendering but as time goes by, I have learned how to really listen to feedbacks whether they are negative or positive and use them as motivation to continue doing well and to improve more. True enough that there are those who criticize us to put us down but there are also people who give their comments objectively. Whichever purpose they have, both are essential to our growth if we are going to take them positively though sometimes it will hurt our ego or our feelings. But nevertheless, humility will always do us good.

Negative review should be balanced by positive. In other words it is good to have them because you do not walk into traps. If you have a negative thought, you need to prepare yourself to make that negative a positive. Remember, every action has a reaction so think down the line. Example: I don't like driving because I may die in a crash. Plan to put on your seatbelt and obey traffic laws. Now you can actually go anywhere but in a positive way. You can still die but u changes the chances so that its more likely that you won't. You made it more positive than negative.

Use a negative review as a learning experience. No matter what the motivation, consider what is said and if paying attention to it will improve what you do. Ignore the personality of the reviewer and treat it as part of your improvement strategy. Either a comment is justified and it helps, or it does not help as it is not justified. Ask yourself, has this person really read what I wrote, Have they understood it, or have they deliberately misunderstood. However, if you just cannot handle the review at all because of the attitude of the reviewer, put it in the bin.

At college we were told that Virginia Woolf papered a wall with rejection slips from publishers. The point was, in order to write at all, it is important to develop a thick skin and not be deterred by anyone's opinion. Reviews might make fair comment about grammar, style, form, choice of words and so on, but everyone has different tastes when it comes to what they want to read.

This is what I am doing. I mostly use negative reviews to learn and improve. However, if the review is out of anger and cannot help me in any way, I just move on.

Even if you report the person who's giving negative comments or delete them, you still cannot stop people like them. I think, the best way is to not reply to them, just read it and reflect. Improve what has to be improved and if you think that the comment is negative but has a point and can help your business, you shouldn't ignore it.

Me and my friends started a certain service business. It started out really well until there was one person who got jealous of our business and started to create a black propaganda against our business on Facebook. Some negative reviews started to pop up on our page even if those persons never even availed of our service.

What did we do? Well, we just tried to respond as politely as possible to each and every review. But now, we no longer waste our time with these trolls. We just strive to improve our services even more. Take negative reviews as a challenge to improve your product or service. It's as simple as that. You can't please everybody.

I think that it is always good to have constructive criticism of whatever you do. if a person points out to some of the flaws or shortcomings in your work then its always better to think about them and try to improve your work if you realise that you were wrong. its a part of getting better in your work. if however, the purpose of the person is to criticise you in order to make you feel demoralised or create unnecessary controversy, then the best strategy is to ignore this person. if you don't give any importance to what the person is saying then eventually the person will realise that there is no point in taking it further and quit harassing you, if however you try to respond to all that he says then he will come up with more and escalate it further and further

I think always take note of negative reviews. You’ll find things that may need immediate solution at those comments. If it is boarderline deragatory for me I’ll answer with a generic statement. I think ignoring them might be damaging. While continously giving attention might not be worth your while. You can always chat with them privately if there is really a problem.

It depends what is the content of negative reviews. There are negative reviews that are nonsense and only criticize blindly about your work. However, there are negative reviews that will help you to develop your work or product better because of their reviews. Just know that don't let your emotions handle you because of those things.

It is always better to know yourself better than anyone. If the review is just something done just to harm you, then no harm will be done if you just ignore it. But if the negative review is something that is more of a complaint, then I think it would be best to review your work and reply appropriately. Ignoring such would make your audience and customers alike that you just don't care if you are giving out quality as long as they pay.

One thing I know is that at times your competitors will do whatever they can to make you look bad. So if one has an online business they have to be prepared to deal with such malicious people.

Negative reviews can negatively impact your business especially if you are selling something. To counteract their effect, you may be compelled to get more positive reviews and show them all to your potential customers. That's just one thing you can try but the point is a tarnished reputation demands a response that will have your potential customers question the veracity of the negative reviews that are published elsewhere on the net.

I have noticed that there seemed to be a trend in writing negative reviews. It is as if they were paid to post such bad reviews o certain contents. I specially notice them on Google Playstore (I work as a free lance programmer as well). If this is the case, would it be ethical to counter by employing persons to gather more positive reviews?

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Jeane
You can't counter one bad thing with another that might just be as harmful. Fake reviews will hurt your credibility as much as if not more than the paid negative reviews.

I'd recommend giving away the product free - sort of - in exchange for an objective review. I'm sure you'd get a number of positive reviews this way.

Thank you for your advise. I was really doubtful of my solution. It is just lately, I have been too busy with coding. I haven't much time for vlogs or deal with reviews anymore. I could hardly keep up with the forums as well. But this is good advise, thank you. I would look more into that option with my team.

I think it is best if you reply with proofs that you are right or if you have a fault apologizing and trying to compensate your fault would be good. This way you make an impression of problem solver rather than selling a product / business and leaving it as it is. Whenever I am trying to buy a product / service I always look at negative reviews to see possible problems I may face and what the seller's attitude is.

Keep a Positive mindset. You cannot please everybody. Some will like you and some will not. That's just normal. Rejections are part of life. There are rejections in almost every aspects of our lives. Be it work, business-related, family, love etc. Learn how to handle these rejections and negative feed backs because these are part of the ingredients for you to be better and be successful. They will make you stronger and motivate you to be successful in whatever you are doing. And when you look back, there's nothing more you can say but "Thank You". "Thank you for the rejections. Thank you for the negative feed backs".

Can you tell me if you have ever tried Marketo to promote your service? thank you!

I've been using Marketo for a lot of time. To be honest, I would say that I've been using it for more time that I should have to. However, I cannot say that it's a bad marketing tool, the only thing that bothers me is that it's very expensive compared to some other tools like HubSpot, for example. If you are using Marketo right now, I recommend you switching to HubSpot. This tool is cheaper tool with the same possibilities, and with some better upgrades. If you want to move your data from marketo, it’s possible. Here https://www.ids.agency/blog/migrat...ep-by-step-guide you have a full guide on doing it. Good luck!
