I do order food online, mostly fast-food like burgers and pizza, chicken from KFC, Pizza hut, Shakey's, Jollibee, McDonald's, Wendy's and other places which uses apps for easy online orders. What's great is that they usually have a lot of promos when ordering via app. Sometimes the food is half priced or they would have a buy 1 take 1 promo. The important thing is it saves me money and it's very convenient but since I'm always online.

Yes this is true, Shakey's has a really good deal when you are ordering online.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I like Shakey's too. They have a great meal deal for group of friends and families. My favorite is the one with house blend iced tea, pizza, and chicken. I always order it whenever I eat there with loved ones.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

jaybee19
True. Most fast food chains nowadays have apps where you can order their food directly online. However, it's unfortunate that if you live on a country where most houses aren't numbered and the streets aren't numbered as well, it's really hard to order fast food online because it would take a lot of time for your order to come, or worse it would never. I can actually use landmarks, but, still those landmarks are too far away from my house.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Steve5
Yeah. That can be difficult. It's actually why others prefer to eat outside rather than order online. The areas where they live aren't exactly compatible with delivery services. Especially, those living in rural and province areas.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

jaybee19
Exactly. And you know what's worse, most provinces and rural areas here where I live doesn't have fast food restaurants and that means they don't have access to fast food delivery or anything that is similar. But I actually feel happier for them because they don't have access to unhealthy food unlike us who lives in the urban areas. But, fast food restaurants will always be the best for me.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Steve5
That's sad and funny at the same time. It's unfortunate that we still like fast food despite knowing its unhealthy nature. So it could be that province areas are lucky since they're not tempted to eat this kind of unhealthy food.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

jaybee19
Exactly. It's such a funny fact that people like us still enjoy fast food despite of being aware about the hazards it may bring to our body. Actually, a lot of people in the rural areas are actually excited and very tempted about eating fast food as well, especially that they are unfamiliar about its taste. And so, they always try to eat fast food whenever they visit the city. But, still they're more fortunate because they can only eat those unhealthy food sometimes whilst us here in the city are always exposed with it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Steve5
Exactly. I remember a saying about the heart not wanting what it cannot see. Basically, it means that we won't be tempted if we put ourselves far away from these temptations.

It can help improve our overall health. Just a simple distancing from junk food and fast food already greatly decreases our likelihood to get sick.

I can relate to you. The houses in our place have their own numbers but the problem is that they are not really visible. Even the number on the streets are hard to read. I can even receive this kind of complaint from persons who delivered our food. I also use landmarks and provide the color of our house.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

jaybee19
Exactly. Almost a month ago, my siblings and I rented a small room on a big house located in an almost squatter's area kind of setting but surprisingly the neighborhood has numbers per house because a company owns the land where all of the houses (including the house where our room was) are located. However, similar with your situation, the number are also invisible because of the stains on the stainless steel material where it was printed. Now, we transferred to our aunt's house which is inside a subdivision but unfortunately they don't have house numbers and so whenever we order Pizza or anything, we always provide the name of the subdivision and we'll get the order outside the gate or worse, we'll have to get it from a landmark that is a little bit far from the subdivision. Typing this actually made me calculate all of the delays from our previous orders lol.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Steve5
That's so sad to hear. It could be why many are discouraged to use delivery service. Instead of making things convenient, it's like you still had to go out of the house to get your order.

That kind of defeats the purpose of ordering online.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

jaybee19
True. It's kind of like ordering your food on the restaurant but a bit better because it lessens the distance but not very convenient unlike the door-to-door delivery. People here are actually used to it but the majority that does order are the ones in the elite society like the ones who live in bigger subdivisions while the people in the middle class to lower class prefers to go to the restaurant instead because it's less hassle, I guess.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Steve5
I know what you mean. They're usually the rich people. I actually enjoy going out. You're lucky if you have a good local restaurant with quality food service. You don't need to spend a lot of money to enjoy good food.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

jaybee19
Yes, the rich people with high-end residential homes.

Me too, I enjoy eating out for most of the time. However, the only restaurants here that are affordable are fast-food restaurants which serves good food but definitely unhealthy.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Steve5
Well, if you put it that way, you can't really say it's good food. Because it's not healthy. I'm sure people with farms are lucky. They have their own grown organic food.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Steve5
Nice list of options. It seems like you're used to buying food online. I think the ones you mentioned are fast food chains. Better be careful since eating those too frequently might not be good for you. Eat wholesome meals as much as possible.

I have not tried Wendy's and few others. But I have tried delivery of KFC and McDonalds. And for me they seem to be doing just fine. I guess depending on the food supplies and other things. I may have to try other brands too. I have never really tried those buy 1 get 1 type promos though, maybe I need to find app for that.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

These food establishments you mentioned are very good in food business and credible in providing quality products and services. They also have good deals and promo. If you order food on these establishments, I can guarantee you their standard of quality. However, some online shopping sites also offer edible products but I am not that confident to order from them.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Well, to an extent, I can't spend money to buy things that I eat from the internet unless I am sure that it is something that is sealed and of top quality. I buy gadgets from the internet, but spending money to buy edible things is something that I don't like.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

vinaya
What if the item you are buying is your favorite brand and something you have have already eaten? What if your favorite grocery also has an online shops and instead of visiting the front store, you can order online. Unless the online store is selling exotic food, or food that is not approved by FAD, it is perfectly safe to buy online. You get the same thing online that you can find on your local supermarket.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

jaybee19
That's what I'm thinking as well. There are supermarkets who open online stores as well like the ones here where I live which is SM Supermarket and SM Store. They have opened up their stores on online shopping sites like Lazada to give services to those that prefer to purchase online without the hassle of going to the supermarket. I haven't tried their services yet but I do know an online store which sells legit Spam from the US and I order from that store all the time because I trust the seller.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

It's not safe purchasing edible items online even if the edible items are canned and frozen foods, it's not 100% safe.

Purchasing gadgets online is completely safe. There is no harm that may come from it. Even if it's faulty, it can easily be returned and changed.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

ajahcuizon
Buying canned goods cannot give you the assurance that the food is still edible. Also, ordering it online might not let you see the actual expiration date. Also, it will give you easiness in buying food, it is still better to buy it in person to ensure good quality of food.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yes, I definitely agree with you, I more likely to buy edible foods in-store rather than buying one online.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I have not tried ordering beverages or anything liquid online. I worry that it will spill or leak before it gets delivered.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yes, I absolutely agree with that. I would rather just buy it in-store rather than buying it online, and buying it in-store is safer than online.

I don't do it online. We just go to the nearest restaurant and buy foods and beverages. I have no experience in buying online yet.

In my country there's a lot of promos when ordering online food because establishments like fast food joints and restaurants are promoting online orders. I'm always on the lookout for good deals like half price deals and buy one take one deals.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

jayjaydimson
Yes, I agree with you, even there is a promo for that product, I won't still buy it because I have to check for something first especially the food before I buy it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

The worst thing that one can do is to buy edibles online. Buying gadgets and books is one thing and buying edibles another thing. I will take the former because it is not as risky as the later.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

What actually happens when you buy the food and it is delivered late which means that it will be spoilt? How do you even prove that the food was spoilt by the time it got to you and how will you deal with the hunger as you claim a refund.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Martinsx1
It's completely wrong for any online store to deliver food items late especially when it's something that was meant to be eaten immediately.Personally, I wouldn't find it easy with the person who delivered the meal and I'm most likely going to have him or her reported.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I can relate. It's like you're cautious of possibly eating badly prepared food. The good thing is that more trustworthy restaurants and food sellers are becoming available. So once you find one that meets your standards, it makes ordering so much easier.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I don't buy foods online. I have this mentality that it is not safe to buy foods on the net. Either they are not properly processed or can cause food poisoning. Better be on the safe side. I buy gadgets and clothes but never foods.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

luv2xacosta
Yes exactly. We can never trust buying foods online unless it a delivery from fastfoods like McDonalds or KFC because we know that they've been doing it for a years now. And besides they a reputation to protect. But other foods sold online like beverages or others, it is not really advisable to buy it online this for safety purposes. I mean who knows if it's expired or worst than that.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

jaybee19
I haven't tried to buy food online especially from online shopping stores because I'm afraid of the quality. However, I would like to consider buying some canned goods and noodles made from Korea and the United States that are being sold online because I am very sure about the quality of those products. On the other hand, I don't think someone should purchase beverages online because one, they're too heavy for the couriers (I pity the delivery guys), and two they might be spoiled or damaged during the delivery process and worse you'll be delivered with the fake products.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Martinsx1
Ordering can foods are even worst. Have you ever considered being sent expired canned foods? There was a video I saw online then with maggots inside the canned beef. It was very disgusting and I almost throw up watching the video.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

amelia88
Oh my gosh, maggots? That's enough to make me want to throw up without even having watched a video about it. How awful!

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I remember buying chocolate drink from a store and there were also maggots inside. Good thing I poured it in a glass and didn't drink it straight from the carton. I always use clear glasses after that.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

When you are ordering online, you should always order from the store that you can trust or a brand you can trust. If you buy from and Tom, Dick,Harry or xyz brand, you are much likely to be scammed, I have also read horror stories of receiving expired food or damaged food. When the delivery boy comes, you should always check he date and label, if possible open in front of him to check the food,

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

menchuuy58
That's a great idea. That is to make sure that the product delivered is of good quality. Thanks for sharing where we should not buy.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

menchuuy58
That's right. Its awful. I could also be that the owner of canned goods sends out the best canned good but the one who is carrying to the buyer he changes it. He gives the canned goods with maggots but the beautiful one he keeps it to himself.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

jaybee19
Really? That's so disgusting. Fortunately I didn't have any sort of experience in the past. I also don't buy corned beef in can online because the product I always purchase is Spam. However, I will be extra careful starting now and do as much as I could to contact the sellers before I purchase anything. Thanks sir Martin.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I agree with you, sometimes I doubt if the food is really original or not.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

jaybee19
True. Especially that there's a lot of scammers nowadays and they'll do everything and anything just to profit without even thinking of the safety of others. That's why it's much better to purchase food on the physical store instead of purchasing it online. But, if the store you're trying to purchase from is trusted and you already have experience buying from them just like me with my noodles and canned foods, then there's nothing to worry at all.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

nrnlss
That's disgusting, but I never tried ordering canned food before so I am lucky.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Martinsx1
Most times, these foods stays too long without being sold out and the preservatives used to keep it safe for consumers usage begins to fade away. This is when the maggots starts to form because the food itself would start to decay.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I have never ever attempted to buy food and beverages online. I prefer gadgets like computers and smartphones. You never know if the food will arrive while it is still good. Beverages too are problematic.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Martinsx1
Exactly! This is how I feel about getting to order what one have to eat online. You can never really be sure of how safe the food is transported from the origin of purchase to your home destination. There is a lot of risks of exposure.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

nrnlss
Yes it can be, you have a lot of things to think about, like is it original or is it expired or not?

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Martinsx1
I have actually seen some good items which are just 1 month away from reaching its expiring date in a shopping mall. It was actually tin tomatoes, imagine ordering online and have that sent to you, it's very wrong.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

amelia88
I think for many cases it probably depends on the regulations of the country. Here if you ordered food online and there was something wrong with the quality or food safety then you’d absolutely be entitled to a refund. Ordering food and groceries online is a very fast growing market and if companies want to remain in business they’ve got to be selling quality goods.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

theresajane
I agree with you. Even with the guaranteed delivery date that was given to you, you will never know what happens in the delivery process. It could be delayed due to some unforeseen reasons, thus making the food spoiled in some cases. The best option is to buy them personally.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Martinsx1
Exactly! When it comes to delivering the food items, one can never be so sure how things might turn out.

Anything can interfere with the delivery process and the food will end up not being delivered on time.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Martinsx1
It's very hard for me to purchase whatever I'm going to eat directly without having to cook it. The issue of preservatives are what makes me have a strong avarice towards purchasing what I would eat online whether it's food or beverages.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Martinsx1
The only thing that I could possibly remember of purchasing online which was something that I would consume immediately was bottle water.

I'm sure that preservatives are not used in water, so it's probably safe to drink bottle water purchased online.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

amelia88
I do, definitely. In this day and age we're all so busy that it adds an element of convenience into my life. I also like the fact that I can shop online after stores have closed, in my own free time, and then have the food and drink delivered the next day. It really does take a lot of stress out of the process.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Martinsx1
I completely understand that there are so many people who now find it very difficult not to shop for almost everything they need online, whether it's food items and beverages, or other supplies needed as well at home.

Most times, it's hard to blame such people looking at how easy it is to shop online. Who wants to stress too much?

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

amelia88
For sure! Here in my country the ordering of food online is heavily regulated. I also tend to favor large reputable companies over smaller ones.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Martinsx1
It's better to deal with a well known big reputable company when it comes to ordering for anything online including food items. This will help you get better service from the company because they wouldn't want to tarnish the image of their company by selling low quality products.

We usually order pizzas online and have it delivered at home. It's very convenient and fast. They also have some promos like if the pizza doesn't arrive in 30 minutes, they'll charge you only half of your bill.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Martinsx1
Exactly! Pizzas are very easy to to order online and have it delivered to your home in less than 30 minutes. It does not even take that long to have a pizza prepared and it's one of the reasons why it's very fast and easy to be made and delivered quickly.

Yes I do. Shoppers are actually very at ease with online shopping to order garments, footwear, and electronics among others. Inside the rapid pace of the town, tedious tour and lengthy operating hours, most of the people don’t have time to shop for groceries. Shopping groceries online has come to be less difficult with online payment facility. Grocery apps appear to be the following huge thing within the online retail area.

As long as the items which I'm looking forward to purchasing aren't food items, I don't have any problems with using online shopping platforms to carry out my transactions.

Just few weeks ago, I purchased a new Timberland from China using AliExpress.

Seriously, if the online shopping site isn't a very popular one which I have known to be in business for a long time, I'm never going to be purchasing any item from the site even if it's an item that is worth just $5.

I would rather dash out the $5 to the needy that have it thrown away to shady online shopping site.

One finds purchasing online very convenient when the food and beverage is sent to our doorstep at a fixed time. The kind of food and beverage are like, ready and frozen pizza, bread, packed drinks etc. The online and delivery services provided by the suppliers make the life of the working class much convenient and easy, with a minimum cost, one can enjoy the delivery without worrying about the traffic, parking, etc if we to visit the shop physically.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

There is no doubt about the convenient shopping online offers to those who avails themselves to do so. Getting to seat in the comfort of your own home and with a few clicks on t shopping site and making payments, couple of minutes later, all the items would be delivered at your door step. It's very satisfying but if it's my food items, I prefer going in person to buy them.

I don't buy food and beverages online. It is more expensive and a lot of time compare to just going to your local supermarket. However, I would buy snacks from other countries that do not exist in my country. For examples, there are websites or companies that have this business wherein they will gather the snacks from a specific country and will be shipped to you monthly.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Oh, I've seen subscription boxes like that, with fun snacks and candy from around the world. I definitely think that's the kind of thing I would be interested in - it's like getting to take a trip around the world for your tastebuds without even having to leave home. So fun!

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Well, if the snacks are prepared well enough then I believe that they are worth buying. But you still have to consider people's reviews about such online food store.

If there is as much as few bad reviews about their snacks, you should be careful with your purchases.

It's the convenience of ordering and doorstep delivery that encourages people to do a lot of their shopping online. There is also the fact that you get to save money because groceries sold online are relatively cheaper. This is why I buy some food online.

However since there is a farmers market close to where I live, that is where I get all my vegetables and fruits.

I have tried buying online or ordering online like Pizza. It's more convenient though than going to physical store especially if you are really busy so buying or ordering online is more convenient. Yes, I do buy food online but only from local sellers or those who are within our city. Most of them are distributors of known physical stores. I haven't been dissatisfied with any of my purchases yet. I have bought pies, cakes and special breads.

This orders are mainly snacks and they are very well taken care of in a way that even if their delivery was delayed, they would still be in a good shape for at least a minimum of a day before it gets bad a little bit.

I used to do this, but not so much anymore since I no longer live in an area where Amazon delivers. I’m an Amazon fanboy so I don’t like to use any service besides them, haha.

In any case, I used to order a lot of foods and beverages online, but it was mostly stuff with long shelf lives like canned goods or dehydrated stuff. I know that Amazon provides a service for fresh produce now, but I don’t think I’d be into that even if they did deliver to my current location.

For fresh stuff, I prefer to just go to the supermarket.

I use Amazon Pantry too. It's handy, being able to get all your dry pantry staples at the click of a button. But a lot of places now offer similar services. There are even options like "click and collect" where you can order everything online from your local supermarket, and then drive there to pick it all up when staff have picked out all your items. It saves you the time in the actual store - I think it's great for parents with kids in particular.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yeah as far as I’m aware there are actually multiple different businesses/applications sprouting up that provide delivery services for certain goods. It’s kind of a booming industry at the moment.

I know in my area there is a new application that offers delivery services for restaurants that don’t actually delivery. You use the application to order what you want and from which restaurant, and an employee of the business runs off to that restaurant, orders the food for you and then brings it to your home.

I guess it’s a great way of taking advantage of people’s laziness/anti-socialness, haha.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Ohh we have similar apps here, like Uber Eats! Not sure what country you're in but yes, they definitely seem to be growing with momentum. It's nice to have options though when it comes to food delivery...I definitely have days where I'm exhausted from work and can't be bothered getting organized to head to a restaurant to pick up food...so apps/sites like Uber Eats are super handy.

I’m originally from the United States and I still keep up with what’s happening over there, so I had actually heard about Uber Eats when it started getting popular. I think it’s a pretty cool application, and a great idea for some people to make a bit of extra cash.

A couple of years back I moved to Eastern Europe to the country my family is from (Serbia, strange I know but I needed a change) and applications like that weren’t a thing yet. But just recently I’ve been seeing commercials for an application called “Donesi,” which is a Serbian word when literally translated to English means “bring it to me.” It offers the same sort of service as Uber Eats, only it's a bit more "professional." Instantly reminded me of Uber Eats.

I generally do not, unless it's specialized food, like coconut flour, almond flour, coconut milk almond milk, generally things you cannot really get offline and can only get from specific supplier sites. Because I eat low carb , they are somethings that I cannot get in my Country and can only get from Amazon. Good examples are like black bean pasta, almond milk and MCT oil for my Keto Coffee.

It's very important to be mindful of what one orders online so as not to have low quality products delivered to you and it's still going to cost you time and energy to have it shipped backed.

This is why it's very important to deal with well trusted online shopping store like Amazon because they will strive to offer you the very best of their products.

Yes, I order pizza every once in a while thru online means. Does that count? But if you are referring to groceries and such, no, I still prefer to buy those things on physical stores but who knows, I might be in the future as there are platforms available for it nowadays here in our country.

It's very obvious that most people are very much comfortable with ordering pizza online. In fact, statistics shows that pizza is among the most ordered foods online and it's definitely true in my opinion.

Pizzas are very tasty and delicious in such a way that most people can't wait to have it being prepared by themselves. So, they choose to order it online.

Ordering anything from online stores are very easy to do. I think that most online stores are very clever in setting up their business sites to be very easy to use and navigate through in order to make their prospective customers not to find it very difficult to use the site to order. Just a few clicks and your order is placed.

No, I haven't tried purchasing food items online, not even imported canned goods. I still prefer to do grocery shopping at our local stores and chain supermarkets. Not everything online is cheaper. Fresh food can be had for cheap at weekend markets and supermarkets often offer bundled and discounted products to entice customers. Where I live, I still have to pay delivery fees to online suppliers and that may not even offset potential discounts. Besides, I do grocery shopping regularly so it's not a big deal. It also gives me an opportunity to bond with my child.

".... Not everything online is cheaper... "

This is actually something that I have come to understand as well when it comes to using discounted prices to lure people to purchase items online. There are so many items that you find online to be more expensive when you compare it to what they are being sold at the market.

I purchase the items online. I also have the option to buy the vegetables online. And it does work in terms of the cost spent. You can see that some of the people making use of the online purchase system. They can be good enough for the payout too. Though some prices can be higher if completely taken online in the process.

I am a fan of online shopping. But, never in my entire life did I ever try to shop for food online. Well, I have tried looking online for food like pastries, but I don't buy them online. I always opt to meet up the seller and look at the product first before buying it I make sure that I do things in person when it involves food.

I think with the lack of time due to our busy schedules online shopping is the best option available with us today. Yes, I basically do order edible foods and beverages most of the times from various online sites. Even the monthly groceries get delivered safely to your home when you order them online. I haven't experienced any trouble or problems ordering foods and beverages online until now and I will recommend buying online to everyone who is unable to shop directly due to lack of time

I have never tried purchasing food and beverages online since most of the time I am buying it offline. I really don't trust to buy some of it online because we know that there are a lot of fake products in the web that is why I am limiting myself from having it. I really prefer most of the time to go to some grocery store to buy things that I want because it is more convenient and easy for me.

I do purchase food online. Before it was mainly deliveries from fast-food chains. But ever since grab introduced food delivery services and Food Panda, I started ordering home cooked stuff as well. And they guarantee to deliver it while it is still hot.
Almost everything now can be done online. I heard there was also a service that offers to make your groceries for you.

Food is something that is really sensitive and I don't think ordering or buying it online would be a great idea. I would prefer it to be bought personally. On that way, I can be sure that it is fresh and safe. Unlike having it paid and then delivered, we cannot be sure of its quality. No amount of money could compensate the sickness our body might have when we eat uncertain foods. Unless when the food came from a trusted restaurant and have it delivered first before paying it, I could feel safe on that way.

Yes totally agree. It is better to be vigilant as to where you buy your products to avoid food poisoning. Prevention is the cure. When you personally buy your own food you would know that it comes from the trusted buyer in which you can rely on.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Exactly! Prevention is better than cure. Making sure that every details about the food is okay so that you'll be sure that it is safe to eat. Unlike delivered food that we cannot check the package first before opening and we are not sure if it is tempered or not.

If using delivery app of fast food chains are considered purchasing food/beverage online, then I am guilty. I like to take orders from apps than through calls because sometimes their call center agents are too complicated to talk to. I always end up with the wrong order or upgrade. Sometimes wrong order or incomplete item. Maybe I just prefer less human interaction.

I definitely have those days where I feel like I prefer little to no human interaction! I think some days that's pretty normal if you've had a busy or stressful day -- and sometimes it is just nice to pick up your phone, order something on an app, and have minimal interaction!

I think if we are just ordering online on some well known and reliable companies or establishment out there, I don't see any wrong with as long as we are just buying to those trusted ones. Besides buying online on some established companies could help us to save more time and fees for it since we will not anymore go just to travel with it.

I have never purchased a food item or beverage for that matter online as I have some trust issues and I only value something that I know a hudrend percent has been cooked at a specific place. There has been an influx of suich shopping nowadays and I think we might have to rethink our beliefs soon enough.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yes this would another thing that may hinder us from buying from online some food and beverages since we do not know the quality and safety of the food that we will buy since we do not see how well it was prepared. I think the best thing to do is to cook food on our own so that it is a 100 percent clean as safe for family consumption.

The other day, I tried out topcashback.com. I ordered an Indian meal via just eat and as it was my first order got the entire price for the meal back. I did it again and got 12p which is still something, so I would definitely order a meal. I tried Iceland as I wanted a home delivery and it was stupid as they do not deliver unless you go into the store and choose the stuff first. However, I have never tried other sites. I would use a Supermarket that is well known, but am leery of using somewhere like Amazon. That said, I have been wondering about using it to by the cat's food in bulk. It would have to be a known brand though. One thing I have seen is a site where you can order nearly out of date food. I might try it just to see if there is any point.

I hadn't heard of that site but that's an awesome deal that you managed to get the full price of the meal back! I love finding sites like those where I can either earn points or discounts - it certainly helps subsidize the cost of ordering food.

I do buy food items online but only food items that are of novelty value such as cakes, homebaked pastries, sweets etc. I see to it that I only order from a reputable seller and someone I do trust. When it is the first time that I order online to a certain online seller I would buy only in small quantities just to make sure that the item I am buying is of great value. It will take time before an online seller will establish his reputation so he has to do his business the right way if he wants to succeed.

No, When it comes to food, beauty products, and health medicine we have to be very cautious. Especially foods that go directly inside our body. Some seller doesn't think the cause and effect of the product they sell that some can damage you. so we have to take the full responsibility in using products online much more on foods we eat.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

esteban123
Yes that is really true and I agree with that, we must be cautious in buying some food and drinks online because some people doesn't care much about since they are just after the money that they will be receiving. There are a lot of fake foods or beverages online and we should be aware about it so that we will not be a victim for such illegal products that they are selling at a lower price.

Sometimes I think online sellers have to be even more cautious and regulated - definitely in my country, anyway! If an online business sold bad quality food their reputation would be quickly ruined online, so I feel like they try extra hard to ensure that the food they're providing is top notch.

The bad thing about ordering canned food online is that you won't be able to see the expiration date. When it comes to this kind of food, I would prefer to go to the nearest grocery store. You can check the product's expiration date and choose the can that has no damaged.

Aside from fast food delivery, the only time I order food online (like groceries) is when that item can't be found in my area. Asian stuff usually like kimchi, red bean paste and miso can't be purchased in my area. I have to drive 2 hours out for me to get to a supermarket that carries it. Though it's weird to buy groceries online, I sometimes have no choice to. I'd want to buy my groceries myself to see the quality of the vegetables and fruits for example.
