What is the best pet for a small house or apartment?

Before my daughter was born, I lived in a small apartment with a tabby cat and a pure bred cat. She was really awesome for the small space and not very active. But, my big tabby was always running around. Looking back, I can see that small space was not good for him. But, of course, he was my cat, I could not just get rid of him. I think maybe a smaller pet such as a bird or fish or something along that line would have been more appropriate. We live in a much bigger home now, so cats are alright with the space available.

What type of small pet would you recommend for anyone who finds themselves living in a small space?

I enjoy hamsters or guinea pigs because they're so small and cute, plus they are so easy to look after. They are also nocturnal animals, much like me.

Fish would be easy, so would mice or a rabbit even.

A rabbit would be a lovely pet for a small space as they don't move around very much and are docile even with children.

a kitty cat

Kittens are awesome and then they grow up and get so energetic. Mine were always jumping on tables and breaking things. After awhile I had to put all my breakables up. They would jump on curio shelves and knock things over. :/

A mouse or rat

I think both is good at a time. They will fight each other every moment. But ultimately mouse will vanish by rat. ha ha ha (just fun). Both is cute, you can choose any one.

I'll go with hamsters. They are small and cute as well. They won't go running around the house, they only need a good cage to stay. Place a hamster wheels and other accessories in their cage to make them happy. They don't require much attention but giving some of your time will make them feel loved and comfortable with you.

Having an aquarium is the perfect for a small house or apartment. You won't need a big space to have one. It's very relaxing to watch those fish swim. And it's not high-maintenance. What is the best pet for a small house or apartment?

As much as I would love to say a dog, but am very sure that they are not good with small spaces. So therefore, I would be recommending either a cat or Guinea pig. They are the two pets that I'm quite sure that are excellent living in small spaces.

Ask Beverly, I believe she would agree with me on this as I already know her to be the best cat person I've come across.

I would go for a hamster or a bird, Since they are easy to maintain. I find hamsters cute specially when you put them in a hamster ball.

An aquarium with fish is the best choice for a small space or a mouse. It just depends on what exactly you and your daughter want because you may choose a tortoise or a spider, or even an iguana. I had an apartment and I took an aquarium with fish, we all loved this choice and even now when we bought a bigger house we didn't give up to our aquarium!

I will maintain both cat or bird because of the small space. They will be manageable in there.

Maybe a little bird or a small fish tank will be perfect. Don't recommend rats or guinea, those are rodents, and if any of those get out around the apartment, for sure will damage furniture. Dogs are awesome, but they require a lot of care and attention, they do demand it, so if you don't, they will get sick on depression. Cats are more independent, but unfortunately, not the best option for people with any kind of allergy, their hair tend to activate allergic reactions.

Snakes are the best options for a small house or apartment. Usually pet snakes are docile and don’t require a lot of care and attention. Chicken and small worms are the snake’s favorite food. Their sizes can be from 3-4 inches. Foremost, in case they will bite you their venomous isn’t poisonous and any negative consequences will be visible. Only the snake pets who were in wilderness can be aggressive in captivity. You can check the following breeds Ball Pythons, Garter snake, California King, Corn and Hognose Snake. By the way, they are all described detailed and comprehensively on https://petsoid.com/.
