Life Hack 2: How to keep valuables safe on the beach

The beach is a great place to go when the sun is shining. Golden sand, golden sun, golden times! There's nothing quite like spending some times at the beach! But sometimes, we can take valuables to the beach too like our mobile phones, expensive watch, wallet or other stuff and leave them in our spot while we go paddling, wading or swimming in the sea leaving our gear at risk of being stolen by thieves! However with this life hack, your gear will NEVER be stolen. All you have to do is wrap them up in a nappy (diaper) and then nobody will dream of touching them!

LOL Mike. No I have to admit I have never tried this trick before.

This would actually work so well for me, we live on a secluded beach and I often wonder where to put my house keys when we go for a dip in the water. I still have one kid that sleeps in nappies so we have plenty of them around.

Perhaps have bit of brown goo oozing out of one of the sides would work well, nothing that a little bit of brown paint couldn't sort out right? If anyone had any thoughts of going near it they will be stopped dead in their tracks.

Even if it may not work, I still want to give this a try out. I'm tired of loosing my belongings at parks and beaches, and then find out they were stolen. The only bad part is, you have to pay attention if someone from maintenance, wants to dispose the diaper for you. That would be to die for. If anyone has ever tried this tip, please let us know how it turned out, I'm very curious about it.

I am of belief that we should not take something valuable to the beach. And if it is extremely important then it's better to be kept in the car. So this way you don't have to worry about losing it. I don't keep the phone on the beach either. That's how I am thinking about the beach lifestyle. Because people bring camera, phone and all sort of valuables. And often this may lead to more of the issues as well. I make sure to also keep one person behind when going into the water. So that also works out in some of the cases.

This is really a life hack for people that go to the beach, but I must say that trying such in Nigeria might not work all that fine. I mean I know the way things work here for some thieves will go and pick them up and try their luck with searching what is really inside it. Although, I believe this can go a long way in safeguarding our valuables in some beaches.

As much as I like taking care of my things on the beach whenever I go swimming but these hacks makes it more less effective for me, like when someone caught you doing this, like they might be more angry on you thinking that you are loitering on the beach and someone might just picked it up and throw it in the garbage. But all-in-all it's a great trick and gimmick you can do on a beach.

I was thinking exactly like you... what if someone catch you doing the trick? for sure they will get a sweet revenge on you. Also, the garbage issue, there's always someone "going green", and picking up all the possible garbage around, and what if it involves all your valuables? I will be shocked for sure! a good tip will be to put it in a bag, and hang it like if you are collecting all your garbage together, to get rid of it at the end of the day.

This is a great idea. I once had my watch stolen while I was at the beach. I am sure this diaper trick will work wonders. I will test this idea the next time that I go to the beach. I am sure that no one will dare to touch a diaper.

Interesting idea to deter thieves. So do you then keep your valuables in a bin?People have all sorts of hiding places. What happened to the old hiding places like the mattress, under the bed, and under the carpet.? I think I prefer those ones. They are less gross! To this day I still hide some things in my pads or under my bed. However If you 're on holiday just ask the hotel to keep your things in a safe. So simple!

Whilst going to beaches even if you leave pockets at inn or car minus the cash, no pickpocket is interested in your identity Proofs. So maintain money in a plastic cover, seal it, select another plastic cover and seal it. Take care to get rid of air and then you definitely are appropriate to maintain it in your shorts in case you don't have anybody staying ashore. Thats why small zip lock are accessible.
