Johnson & Johnson BABY Products has cancer causing chemicals...!!??

I'm sure most of us have used these "Johnson & Johnson" baby products on our children! They are famous for their baby lotions, powders, shampoos, and bubble bath.... Well they have admitted that all their products have cancer causing chemicals in them after a third person has filed a lawsuit and won!

Unreal, my parents used this stuff on me as a kid and I used all these products on all of my children too! Once my husband and I found out that they had cancer causing chemicals in them, we threw every Johnson & Johnson product we had out! I was not taking any more a chance with my kids.

Do you know the chemical that has been detected in these products they found cause cancer? FORMALDEHYDE!!!!! The chemical used in embalming dead bodies to prepare for burial!!!!!! UHM GROSS!!!!

Quaternium-15 is the chemical that releases the formaldehyde which can cause skin, eye, and respiratory irritation. Which has been tied to leukemia!!! 1,4-dioxane is also another chemical that has been detected in Johnson & Johnson products which has carcinogenic properties. This chemical is a brain toxin which can cause damage to the nervous system, liver, and kidneys!!!!!

Funny thing is, they are taking their time trying to fix this situation and only the US was affected by this. Countries like Sweden, Japan, and South Africa had no traces of these chemicals in any of their products.

Guess its time to read all the fine print or make everything myself!

This is so sad because the products they made are mainly used on children. I am glad that we switched over to the bees shampoo. I felt like an idiot when we found out that lady sued them and won. She died of cancer before the lawsuit was won but at least she was able to make her point. They are now going down for the Talcum powder that they are selling. Medical studies have shown that using talcum or baby powder can lead to ovarian cancer in women. Successful lawsuits have been filed by victims against companies like Johnson & Johnson who make talcum powder. Potentially thousands of women are suffering from ovarian cancers, and many are dying, after using Johnson & Johnson Baby Powder or Shower to Shower products on their genitals to combat moisture, odor, and chafing. Its really sickening and it needs to stop! They still have products on the shelf and they are still killing people.

Geez this is awful, but seriously doesn't this just show you all that is wrong with this world? Everything is store made and we really have no idea what is in these products at all.

This includes the foods we eat, the products we bath in, the medications we take and much much more. I mean have you ever read the packet insert for the most mundane, "mild", everyday medications? It will scare the living daylights out of you!

So once again I will say why I am loving these hacks so much, we don't actually need to buy most of the things that we get the the shops these days.

Everything has become so commercial and expensive and we fall into this trap!

yes i agree and we can focus and put our hard earned money into things that will only benefit us.

i couldnt believe this article when i first had heard of it. i had used all of their products my whole life and throughout my kids lives and it just makes me so mad that people dont even care that they are hurting and killing other people just so they can make a buck.

I used Johnson & Johnson products for my kids. I still have a bottle of the Johnsons top to toe wash which I was using to wash my son's hair. Yes he's nearly 3 years old but he fights me like made and for some reason I thought that wouldn't burn his eyes as much as another hair product. Now I wonder?

I was thinking this too. Usually this is the brand I've been giving to my little cousins and nephews. Unfortunately, is not just J&J, this is just the brand that got into a lawsuit, but it could be any other brand too, we don't know how good or bad are the others. My neighbor bought one that is called Honest, and apparently looks pretty much strong chemicals free. Maybe this could be an option.

I have also read this news and I was alarmed. Therefore, when I had my baby, I did not buy Johnson & Johnson products. Instead, I bought Himalaya baby range. Himalaya is a trusted Indian brand that has a wide range of products beauty and health care products including baby products. I will be using Himalaya products for my baby until the media begins to report strange things about this brand.

I totally agree with you, if one can make his or her stuff, it would reduce alot of health hazards release on humans by producers of things.Sometimes I can even manage with a product used externally,i.e outside the body but the ones to be eaten, gives me many concerns.

You will buy some stuff for comsuption, it turns out to be food poisoning because of some unwanted chemicals introduced into the products.I have never heard about this health problem johnson's products and I have been using it on almost all my kids.I hope nothing happens to them in future.

I think that if you have a baby you should be very aware of all the ingredients in skincare and haircare that you use. Unfortunately, stuff like this terrible think you wrote about happens often! Many cosmetics use cheap and unsafe ingredients and babies are much, much more delicate and sensitive. I have seen a few blogs about products with safe ingredients that you can use for your baby. Thank you for sharing this information, more people should know about things like that.

Yeah I came across the news and on some health magazine, I was really troubled why such a reputable company would fail to discover that such chemical is harmful to children and thereby exclude it from the make up materials for their products.

Now with such news and information out in the open for anyone who cares to have access to it, I believe it's death to the company business affairs as I'm sure no one would be rational and reasonable enough to procure commodities that are said to be inimical to their own health.

What? Oh my god i've been using their products eversince i was a child and whole in our family is using it. Im from Philippines so we do not have any idea about this. I will now tell my parents everything to stop using their products. It is my first time to hear those news about Johnsons products and whats worst to know is they are using a chemical that is used also for dead bodies so embarrassing. Rest in peace Johnsons company, no wonder that someday they will be out in popularity and distribution of their products because they are not a health friendly. They fooled us just to make them more money for their own good. But still wondering how they passed all the test to authorize them in selling their products.

I heard about this on different sites, but I am not that sure about this news. All I know is that my pediatric doctor has forbidden me to use Johnson shampoo for my newborn baby. My second son has now 5 months, and we are using only products from Mustela.

This is an illustration of corporate greed. These companies hire the best scientists in the world and am sure they know what they are doing and the potential effects. They just want to make a quick buck.Usually the Us market is tightly regulated, if these products can still be sold here, I shudder to think about the rest of us. After the three rulings they must have transfered all products to other markets. I used to use Johnson and Johnson on my face as powder. After the ruling I chucked all my powder away. Very sad state of affairs.
