DIY Wine Gummies! great for adults!!!

Who loves wine? Who loves gummies? Who wants to know how to make wine gummies?!!?!? ME, ME, ME!!

What you need:
1. 1 cup of wine
2. 4 tablespoons of gelatin
3. 1/2 teaspoon of stevia
5. 2-4 tablespoons of maple syrup ( the amount of maple syrup you use will depend on how dry your wine is and how sweet you want your gummies)

What you need to do:
1. In a sauce pan warm the wine on a low heat setting. You don't want the wine to boil because then the alcohol will burn away.
2. Add your gelatin, 1 tablespoon at a time. Whisking and stirring it well before adding more!
3. After the gelatin has completely dissolved, you can add the rest of the ingredients. (i would taste your mixture after each one so you know how much sweetener to add)
4. After your mixture is ready, use a spoon to put it into a mold or just pour the whole thing into a square pan and you can cut little squares out.
5. Put in the fridge for 2-3 hours so they can set!

These are perfect for adults who love wine, and you could even take these to parties, or use them as favors!!

Hope you all enjoy! Thanks for reading!

This is awesome! i posted something earlier in the month about gummy products having animal by products in them. Nobody wants to eat crushed bones and parts of the animal that are not ok to eat. Since i found out about that i have actually avoided these products. I am super glad that you have shared this natural homemade way to make gummy bears because i love them i just don't want to get sick. I just realized that this has gelatin in them can you take this out and put something else in? I think this is the ingredient that im trying to avoid.

lol i hear you and although gelatin sounds teally gross because of what its made of...it actually isnt bad for you...

gelatin is a source of important nutrients, believe it or not! its a protein derived from collagen which is found in animal parts but provide us with amino acids which are the building blocks of proteins.

i know gelatin seems really gross but it does provide lots of health benefits like helping to improve gut health and digestion, protects joints and helps with joint pain, helps improve sleep quality, and also helps lift your mood and cognitive abilities!

weird huh? hahah

Unfortunately gelatin is the thing that binds this all together doesn't it? Gelatin is made up of boiling the skin, cartilage and bone from animals.. usually the byproducts from the meat industries.

Yes it may be a little gross to think of but then again if you are going to eat animals why not eat all of them?

If you are looking for an alternative to Gelatin you can use Vegan Jel (made from vegetable gum), Agar-Agar (made from algea) or Carrageen (made seaweed).

There are vegan alternatives for anything! And no I am not a vegan but my sister is and she is very vocal about her passion - being sentient towards all living things.
