So Fresh and So Clean...DIY Toilet Cleaning Pods

How to make your own toilet cleaning pods!! I so cannot wait to try to make this and then use it!

What you will need:
1. 1 cup of baking soda
2. 1/4 cup citric acid (you can find this on amazon or in your local store)
3. bowl
4. spoon
5. 1 tablespoon of dish soap
6. Silicone ice cube tray

What you need to do:
1. Mix together the baking soda and citric acid until it is combined well.
2. Stir the dish soap in slowly until the mixture becomes like wet sand.
3. Start putting this mixture into the silicone tray, firmly packing it down. Let this dry for at leats 4 hours (if you start to see the mixture expand above the tray but push it back down firmly.
4. Once it is completely dry, you can pop the cubes right out of the mold and store them in an air tight container.

How to use these pods:
Drop 1 pod into the toilet and let it sit until it stops bubbling. Flush. VIOLA!!

Yet another great idea to clean the house for a fraction of the cost. I don't see anything here that could damage the toilet of pipes. You have so many of these great hacks and we need to start using them. I wake up in the middle of the night sometimes and get something to drink. The only thing i fear is me not paying attention and putting these cubes in my drink. mmmmm tasty! I do not recommend this if you have kids like my oldest who is always trying to do everything herself. She may end up putting one of these in her drink and fizzing up the place. We need something like this for our house and im glad you shared it.

hahaha i would obviously not be putting these in anyones reach but mine! and i would label them as well! LOL it also said that these were perfect for like in between toilet cleanings. like when you start to get that ring from the ridiculous water they have around here! LOL i shouldn't complain but its so true

Oh another great point there Jkeyz2. I also wonder sometimes when it comes to cleaning products, toilet cleaner and drain cleaner how much damage it actually does to your house and your drains and pipes! Almost all cleaning products have such a strong, toxic smell making me nervous having those products in the house and like you say, what effect it will have on your drain pipes and also other household fittings!

Great stuff, this is another excellent DIY suggestion Ermini2 thank you.

The reason why I love this so much is that all the toilet cleaning stuff I have come across appears to be so toxic and strong! Why do all cleaning goods have such a pungent and strong odour?

I really want to give this one a go, it is all natural and I want to see how well it works!

i have no idea why they are so strong. yea the stuff cleans but should we be inhaling all those chemicals...im sure it probably messes with your lungs and other parts of your respiratory system!

im so excited and really cant wait to make and try all these DIY hacks!!

I love doing DIY crafts especially if it helps in day-to-day lives. I always wonder how to clean our toilet in a cheap way. And I found this solution! Thanks for the information you give and I hope you will post more about DIY crafts. My mother will love it.

This advice is perfect for home. I would use such cool advice, but I'm too squeamish. I'm lucky because my wife does all the cleaning in the house. I once tried to clean the house myself, but it didn't work out. The most difficult thing for me was to wash the floors. After that, my back hurts terribly. I was thinking of getting a housekeeper, so my wife wouldn't suffer. For example, my office is cleaned by the totalclean.co.uk. I am happy with their work. The most pleasant thing is to realize that someone cleaned for you.
