Do games make people more violent?

A lot of people have spent years arguing that games make people more violent but I don't believe in this to be honest. I do agree that a few people can be affected by what they do in games but this is such a small marginal that I think games shouldn't be branded by this. I think games can affect people's behaviour especially when games become frustrating or someone disturbs them during an intense moment. I know that I once started moaning at my sister when she went in front of the TV whilst I was playing FIFA but I made sure to apoligise right after. I'm sure a lot of people have done that before Do games make people more violent?. Do you think games can make people behave differently?

I cannot say yes about adults, but how I am father of three little boys with age among 1, 6 and 10 years old I´m not so sure.

Here in my country Brazil happened a big tragedy with Pesseghini family in the São Paulo city where a teenager kill all family and after that he kill himself.

There´s a big possibility of that teenager has being influenced by a violent game and other bad realities that built a cold murderer.

I believe that we need to take care with a deep attention of our children sharing love all the time and building day by day a strong friendship explaining ever and ever the right and wrong things.

Would a violent game have influenced on the tragedy with Pesseghini family?

This is true. A person can have these benefits in playing a video game:
  • Improves coordination
  • Improves problem-solving skills
  • Enhances memory
  • Improves attention and concentration
  • It is a great source of learning
  • Improves the brain's speed
  • Enhances multitasking skills
  • Improves social skills

However, this varies on the type of game, the age of the person and how frequent these games will be played. Violent games are a stress reliever for some but, I strongly believe that these type of games should not be played by kids. It is indeed dangerous for them to be exposed to violence at an early stage, so parents should alway monitor their children's activities.

Totally agreed! There are pros and cons to people who play it and how they deal with it especially, with kids who don't know how to deal their frustration and can easily be influenced by what they see often. For kids, we should always monitor them as to how they behave and express their emotion while they're playing a game. Parental guidance is advised.

More than agree... remember when we were kids and our parents were checking on us? Violent games have existed since always, not just in video games, but we were supposed to wait until certain age to play those. All those games come with parental warning, then why parents don't check whatever their kids are playing? Let's face it, modern parents aren't giving the proper attention and correction to their kids.

I couldn't agree more. I think it will be better if the parents will be careful in introducing games to their children. Especially those who are in a very young age. I believe that children have the tendency of adapting what they see. If they will be introduce to games using guns or other weapons to kill enemies, they might think that they can do that to their real-life enemies.

I agree with you - games don't necessarily make people more violent. It all depends on each individual and of course, on the game type. But many people love to generalize these statements such as: ''all games are bad because they make you violent''. No, they don't. Definitely not all of them.

I have been a gamer my whole life. I was brought up playing NES along side my friends and my family. Almost every day we played different games. True, back then we had mainly more ''peaceful'' types but it doesn't matter. There was still death, fighting and more. I have played games for over 20 years now and I can say from personal experience that I am not a violent person at all. I can get frustrated at a game but then I take a break and I am calm as ever. I have never hit anybody over a game. I have never destroyed anything over a game.

If an individual has more tendencies towards violence by nature then anything can trigger him, including games. I must also add that you should always play them IN MODERATION. I think that's a vital thing! Or you can become too addicted and ''fall'' into the world of a specific game.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

galegatling
Correct. However that individual controls or moderates his violence-game playing, if he is violent in nature, then anything that he is which are violent will trigger the violence in him. Lol. I easily get mad sometimes but that's just about it. I tend to cool off in an instant but I don't get violent.

Hello! It´s nice to me to write to you now about that issue.

I think your answer too much relevant and I agree when you explain about the possible violence into us.
Do everybody have this condition hidden in the soul?

I believe that we have two wolves insides us: A good wolf and a bad wolf fighting all the time.
Which of them will be the winner? The wolf that receives the best feeding from us.

I can say that it is depending on the person who handles the game. If you're a game lover this would not be a problem because attitude and character are imposed. Maybe it can be violent to children and kids because they don't have enough knowledge in they are seeing. Sometimes children adapt the game content into real life making it dangerous. The important is guardians should always watch their children and advise them on the game content. That's why we have parents who will guide us to the right pathway. Gaming should not be violent instead giving us fun and enjoyment.

I agree with what others said above. Games especially those that trigger our adrenal glands are very fun. Games generally do not make people violent, and It depends on individual mindset. There are people who enjoy playing games to any magnitude. This however, could be taken to the extreme when they eventually start to put it into practice. This characteristics are found in children and youths.

Similarly, game addiction play a significant part when it comes to violence. Here in my country, game lovers usually visit game hours, pay and engage in 'betting' to odd hours. Most times, in such situations, if another player losses his money through betting to his opponent, it could probably result to violence. There are others who don't like any form of interruption when they are playing games like football, race and son. This generally happens everywhere.
I play games on a moderate level for the fun of it and have never taken it too personal.

Games are meant for fun and relaxation, and when when effectively managed, there won't be any record of violence.

To each their own While I would say that about boxing and wrestling where violations shows I doubt if other games would make people violent. I have seen such friendliness among opponents after the game is over. And as I said, to each their own. Some whether they play games or not their violent nature shows even in ordinary circumstances.

Being a sport and doing friendly gestures regardless of how competitive the game is, sometimes would give positive impression specially to those young gamers who would want to play such games. If they are not violent in their nature, then it's totally fine as long as they don't personally take it with them.

I'm going to be speaking from both a personal and scientific perspective here. For starters, I have been playing Grand Theft Auto III since I was about nine years old. Sure that may have been a questionable decision on my parent's part, but today I am a 25 year old man who captures flies and lets them outside as opposed to just squishing them. Safe to say, I'm not a violent person and I never have been.

Studies have also shown us that video games do not in fact change the functioning of someone's mind, and they are no more likely to commit violent acts than they were before they played a violent video game. Admittedly there are probably exceptions to this, children who are so easily influenced by sources that they will in fact choose to imitate violent behavior. This is a call for the parents to make with their own good judgment, whether little Timmy is at risk of being influenced or not.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

galegatling
Right. So it all depends on the child but what can the child do? They don't know what is right or wrong so whatever they see on a movie or a video game which makes them interested to try in real life, is not their fault. Supervision is really required. But if it is an adult who is having violent implications after playing a violent video game, then that adult has problems.

I do not believe that a game can make anyone do anything. If they are prone to violence and crime, they will continue the acts. People kill people. Guns are simply a means to an end. My grandmother used to say, "It's just the old Devil in them!" She was convinced that the Devil made people act bad or commit crimes. Maybe she's not so far off.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I agree with you. I think ultimately it boils down to the individual what they want to do with their life and external sources and influences are just used as an excuse or a scapegoat. People want to find easy explanations for why certain people behave poorly, but we have to realize that there is no easy answer to this most of the time, and blaming something that doesn't deserve the blame will just hinder the process of finding the actual reason.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

galegatling
I don't think so. I mean, it really depends on the person playing the game. If he has a nature of being violent, then for sure playing violent games will trigger his innermost violence and eventually, all of those will add up. Now if he gets provoked, he will surely be applying those violence which he learned from playing those violent video games.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

DarthHazard
I have to say that I agree with you 100%. It all depends on the person and it's the same argument for guns really. It's not the gun's fault if it is used to kill someone, it's the person that is pulling the trigger. And for games, if someone is influenced by a game to kill someone or hurt someone then it's not the game, it's the person who may have a violent mind.

My response on this is that games do contribute to make people more violent to a certain degree. Parents may think violent video games are just “harmless fun” for kids, but they are not. Some studies have shown that violent video games do affect the way kids act.I think adults are not exempt from the effects of video games. This only affects those who are easily influenced by external media and pressure. That is the main reason that there is no real causal effect between violent games and behavioral deviations as there can be multiple factors at play. The way children are educated do make a difference in allowing them to make the morally correct decisions.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I think this same concept can be seen when talking about gun violence in places like the United States. Simply having a gun will not make someone go out and shoot another person, there needs to be another motivative factor, such as something wrong with them. Maybe an increased tendency for violence, like some others have said. The same goes for video games. Simply playing a violent video game will not make you go out and commit whatever crime you committed in the game, or whatever. However, if someone who plays a game is mentally disturbed or more inclined to be influenced by the game, then it could be a triggering mechanism into pushing them over the edge.

That, however, is not true for all people, and shouldn't be overgeneralized into a statement like "violent games make people violent".

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

fishmonk
The last statement mentioned is really trues. People tend to overgeneralize and attribute violent behavior as caused by video games. There is a need to reflect on the real issue. We need to differentiate and identify the other contributing factors which lead to violence. Some of the most dangerous people on Earth are not even gamer. Not every violent act can be caused by the same single motive.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

TheArticulate
Exactly. I think it's human nature to want to find the reasoning behind things, and sometimes we jump to quickly to put the blame one single factor. And I agree with you, I think it's more about identifying the attributing factors and finding ways to help or reform those who have issues who may lead to violence. We can't blame one simple thing like violent games and try to resolve the issue that way.

Games can not and will not make people behave differently, it just brought out the real you, I believe that the way we are acting is all a mask and that there are things under it that we know if we let out there will be no way back, so we suppress it back in, when we are playing games, it make us open up, specially hack and slash and gory games, so after a prolonged time of continued gaming, some people just snapped, but I don't blame it on the games, it's them who made the choice of playing those games for a long time, it's their inability to hold control of themselves, in conclusion, it's all on us to decide whether or not we should be a dick to other people, not the games.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

fishmonk
That is true indeed. Playing games is a form of entertainment. If people were influenced so easily, they would be fighting after watching action movies at the cinema. It is all in the mind of the person to decide to be violent or not. We cannot be blaming such actions on games as the defining factor.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Happyflowerlady
I don't think that games necessarily make people violent; but I do think that playing violent games can make a person with naturally violent tendencies more likely to act out those desires. When we see something, whether it is real or in a movie or video game, the subconscious logs it in just like it was real and we had actually seen it happen. When watching violent programs or playing games where people are killing each other, eventually a person's sensitivity towards violence and death becomes deadened , and it is easier for that person to act out violent ideas.
The more often a person plays these violent games, the more they seem like real life, and the line between what is real and what is just a game can blur out until it seems not much different to actually kill someone in real life than it does in the reality game. Naturally, not everyone who plays games is going to turn into a murderer; but for the person who has those tendencies already, it can definitely make this more likely to happen.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I believe that there are people with tendencies to be violent. The games do reinforce this tendency but will not be a trigger to do violence. Certain games have the nature to instill competitiveness leading to fights or arguments at LAN cafes. This has been proven by some incidents all over the world. Despite this, I would say it is not logical to pin the blame on the games as there are many other factors which are at work causing a person to do violent acts.

Yeah of course if you are frustrated, losing or going through a hard mission and someone barges into your room and slam your head playfully , you will react according to newton's third law of motion action and reaction are equal and opposite, so the impact of the game in you, is the output of the purse signals in the real world. so it can make you violent depending on the construct of happening

The same point of view, I can't tell, if might consider in psychology influences our mind. When a person is in frustration, they blame the game, as a gamer, I don't anything to be violent enough, and hurt other people. When, I was in college, it was stated once, in a book says; If a person don't know what is reality, and what is not, this will fall the category that, a person might commit crimes.
I think, it's the responsible of the parents to control their children, about using modern technologies. The government has also the responsibility to control such game, because there are games so violent that influence a mind of a child.

It depends on what game genre the gamer is playing. If it is those violent games where there are killings with weapons, blood splurge out on the screen, you might as well turn off the gadget that your child or teen is playing and plug off the modem. Educate your child that games are not real, just for fun and to test your mobility skill. If he keeps playing not bother with his homework or school, that is a crucial stage that parents had to step in. Stop him before he goes haywire. Regular games that are non violence should be alright as long as not addicted to it.

I think that when these tragedies happen, like when a guy goes into a public space (school, mall, park) and opens fire against people, for sure he has something wrong in the brain, and that is not from games. What may happen is that the game triggers a violent reaction, or maybe give him ideas of how to do his plan or something alike. But for sure, I don't think games can cause like brain damage. And what about the parents that should be checking on their kids? None of those games are sold, without a warning on top that says "parent supervision". If we really think this can affect kids, then we should start by stop giving them green light to play them if they have not the proper age.

I think it's crazy that people ever thought this, but thankfully, I think people nowadays are a bit smarter than that. I've witnessed parents and the news placing blame on everything from comics to music and video games, and I think it's because they don't want to blame themselves. The only time people are ever really vulnerable enough to be influenced that much by media is when they aren't influenced enough at home, and I think that's why parents like to blame media because it's an easy target and it takes the blame off of them when they aren't able to live up to their responsibilities.

They're behavior is mostly affected. In their young ages they exposed to smoking, drinking and joining in gang.I think their mind set is their in the video game. That he thinks those are very cool to try.I think most of the children playing video games having trouble with their parents relationship. Most of them are always on the room playing video. They don't have any time for their parents to talk a about what happen and sharing many things.

For me, it is depend on the people who plays the game. We know that there are things that can only do in games but not in reality. I recommend that kids and younger ages must play only educational games and if they try to play violent games, immediately explain to them what's happening. And for the people who plays other games that is rated PG and above, maybe they will get violent if the game reflects who they are in real life. Like for instance, you own a car and you play Need for Speed, it will have different effects on the person who plays it. The good one is you have now the motivation to improve your car and the bad one is maybe you are curious about street racing and you want to try it in real life and we know it is against the rule.

Well I'm old school where we use to play all sorts of games back in the 90's and the question of video games violence was not an issue. Nowadays things are different and for some people this can be a real problem as some people cannot control their emotions and even worse they are triggered by certain influences such as perhaps a violent video game or movie that they watch. In this day and age we cannot rule out any possibility. Some claim that the future wars and state of combat will be executed in a video game format where soldiers will sit in front of a console and execute commands which will trigger remote automated devices to proceed with the action. We have to keep an open mind as it is now any thing is possible and some things may even be encouraged. Consequently if there are games out there that influence violence then there are games out there that influence other emotions. For example not so long ago there was a game that simulated farming activities where players from all over the world would see themselves feeding farm animals and growing crops and milking cows! Now that's a good 'mooove' that should also be encouraged.

Definitely not! Games are intended to entertain not to make a person violent. Well it depends on the person aside of having a mental dis-order, Blaming a game is not an acceptable reason to commit barbarity and to be cruel. All games has its objectives either to educate and entertain. All of games that contain brutality have age restriction it means that it's not suitable for children and only adults are intended to play it. That is why having age restrictions on a specific game is important to prevent teaching children to be violent.

I think a game can make people violent if there is an addiction towards the game and if the player have gone to money betting in games. If they lose the bet or got mad at the other players beating him or her they can resolve in violence.A game is designed solely to make us entertained. Here in the Philippines people , especially out of school youth is playing dota, it is very popular here. Even in computer shops they resolve to violence because of dota which they bet money.

I my opinion, it does not really make a person violent, as opposed to the popular belief. As a matter of fact, I started out being a gamer with Tekken 3 which obviously depicts a lot of violence, but I learned to prevent myself from imitating the characters as a kid. To this day, I still play tons of video games at the arcade, with my game console but not to be violent at all but for recreational purposes instead. Psychology may have some explanations regarding video inducing violence to people, but it may differ from person to person.

Yes, it does depend on the age of the person playing the game. For adults, they are more mature not to display attitudes they saw in the games they play, but this cannot be said of kids that are still growing up. They always want to act things that their favourite game personality displayed while they were using it in the game.

So, I feel one cannot say that it is 100% true that games make people violent, but some kids find it difficult to cope with reality when they play violent games on TV or phones.

I would say yes, it can make people violent but it would really depend on the person. If you have a hot temper, then that's bound to happen. If you are too attached to the game and get ticked off when others disturb you, then you will react violently. It's just a matter of having a good balance between work and play. You can't get too addicted to a game or it will have negative effects on you. Some games have greater effects on your temper especially first person shooters, or fighting games and strategy games. Games like Counter-Strike, Dota 2 and Tekken all depict violence and if you're someone who can't separate a game from reality, then it can have negative effect on your head and can make you violent.

In my views, it actually depends on the person. Not everyone in this world are equally matured to handle situations. There are some who can't take video games light. It can influence the minds of weaker people, specially teenagers.

Recently, I heard an incident relating a vido gamee named 'Blue Whale', which encourage people to commit suicide, and the sad part is that many people fall into the prey. It's not fair. Its always better for us to stay away from violent games.

I'm not ditching all video games, there are many good ones; which helps us to relax and enjoy. So choose wisely, play and enjoy.

I don't think games are what makes people violent. Most of the games however keep a person very active. And it makes them overly defensive. And it takes a lot of time for those emotions to go down. And this chemical change needs to be taken serioously. Some of the time people don't see that part. And for this reason gamers should avoid watching news. And then watching it and making your opinion on that basis. That's a good recipe to make it harder for yourself to react. So avoid news if you are a gamer.

In my opinion yes they can because a lot of adults get angry and they really care about the game so they get violent.
When it comes to children, I don't think that games make them violent.
Games can make you smarter though.

I think it's just about the children's and adults personality.

What makes you think that? I thought that if anything, children are much more likely to become more violent because they are still growing and they are much more interested in the game? Are you referring to their consoles being destroyed? Or maybe being distubed while gaming? Because that is the only thing that I can see where your argument can be valid. But as to the influence of the game being the reason for promoting violence, I don't think it would apply because adults has better sense of morality than children. Would you care to elaborate more of your post?

It depends on the people and the game they are playing. They become violent if they are so sensitive or gets very emotional but some people take full control of their emotion. The game also affects them if it is some kind of frustrating or addicting game, it makes them violent or angry. But if they are playing some nice and smart games I think it makes them more active and livelier. However, not all gamer are like this, all they need is to balance, control, and act in their utmost acceptable behavior.

I don't think so. Though i've witness kids being violent and fighting each other just because of games, i think it's normal for kids to fight and it all depends on the attitude of a person. We have different personalities, so regardless you are playing a game or not you are hot headed if that is your attitude. We just need to control ourself and be mature enough to handle every situation. Some might take the game too serious that's why they end up in fight. But it's the way they are. We are responsible for ourself, we make our own attitude.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Grimangelx
Definitely Not! Ok, for starters, let us discuss the type of gaming platforms that may greatly affect the person's attitude that are available out there.

First is the violence genre in gaming, nowadays people can find almost any game with a touch of violence. It can be from a range of a little blood loss from doing unnatural activities to literally killing a person/thing in the game which most people may say unruly. In fact, from just looking at it, you really can say that it may promote violent, but players playing the game aren't actually saying the same. Also based on the "react" video on youtube where elderly people play an open world game, specifically "Grand Theft Auto V", they said that it doesn't and couldn't really affect the person and they thought of it as just a game of stress relief.

Second is the MOBA genre, as most have seen videos going around the internet this time around, we could see furious gamers which causes them to break/destroy their console for gaming. Sadly there I haven't encountered any supporting documents regarding this claim, but good thing it is just a way for them to release their anger on the game, so far i've seen no malicious activity that originated from that matter and it doesn't make them a criminal just by doing that.

So all in all, I don't think games would really affect the persons playing the game, not unless... Maybe if the person was mentally ill from the start.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

gamergurl
They do not, there are no studies that would support this claim. Apart from organizations with vested interest, of course. Violent people are violent regardless, and shifting the blame like this does no good for anyone involved. But for years the media has been blaming movies, music, television and whatnot for bringing out violent tendencies in people, and in the future something else will take the place of video games.

So like I said, there is no evidence for this, and no reason to believe this to be true.

Not all games makes people violent beside it is not the game causing a people violent but the sorroundings itself. Because gaming is only designed to make people interested and relaxed from their stressed doings. So, gaming is not making people violent but it is only teaching them how to make their brain work faster and molding people to learn new things. Because gaming acquires user's brain to work with the user's desires. It is not making people violent but teaching them to learn new things.

The playing of violent video games is often cited as a factor in motivating shockingly violent youth crimes such as high school shootings in the US.

One of the students who carried out the Columbine High School massacre in 1999 used a gun he called "Arlene" - allegedly after a character in a novel inspired by the computer game Doom.

However, most people who played graphically violent games (such as Call of Duty, Hitman, Mortal Kombat) did not resort to violence - and most video games were not violent, said Dr Richard Wilson from trade body Tiga.

"I wouldn't rubbish the [APA] report, but think it is important to look beyond the headline," he said.

"Although there are adult games, there are also adult films, books, TV shows... the content should be, and is, regulated to ensure children and minors do not play inappropriate material."

I believe that what determines the outcome of the behavior of a person is a series of factors and video games also. It comes from genetic tendencies, the environment that the person was raised in, and many other factors. So can video games MAKE someone violent? Don't think so. But can it contribute to the fact? Oh, I guess so.

I believe that depends on the person if he has a good tolerance in making himself abused by the games he play. There are people who are well-disciplined and controlled even if they are playing a game. It's all about what how you'll let your emotion take over you. Our minds are the main channel of your actions. What you'll let in will let out.

I do not believe that a video game is the sole purpose for any child to be violent. I believe 100% in my heart that children are a product of their environment. If a child is exposed to violent behavior their whole attitude and demeanor is effected by it. If a child with no violence in their lives plays a video game, they are not going to go get a weapon and shoot anyone on sight, just because they played a video game. Children just need to be loved, respected, and feel wanted and you will never see such behaviors emerging from them.

I agree with you guys on that one. The act of playing video games alone is not enough to cause an individual to go mental and violent. As you all have mentioned earlier, for a significant behavioral change to occur, there are several factors that come into play.

While that may be so, I still think that it is a safer choice for people to cut back on violent video games. The way I see it, violence is still violence whether it is in real life or virtual reality. Sure, it does not have that much power in itself to effect any significant change in someone but still, the accumulated exposure to it has the potential to make things worse in the long run.

I get angry sometimes but I can't say I am violent in person, and I think games won't makes a gamer a violent person. In the other hand, Let's just say that it depends on a person whether he still apply his violent behaviour in the real world maybe 40% of us gamer being affected by the game but it doesn't makes you violent. So as a friendly advice don't take game too seriously just understand the word "game" yeah it's a game play the game and don't let the game playing you because it will drive you crazy and think that you are a violent person.

Games will make children become violent. I have an 8-year cousin, who spends a couple of hours every day playing combat games (hand combat as well as weapon combat). Once in a while, he likes to show how to kick a person, how to hit with the fist. When he does he says this is how Mr. X does in the game. When he sees a stick, he tries to use it as a gun. A game has made him violent.
However, I don't think games will make an adult person violent. He knows the difference between facts and fictions.

I don't think games do make people more violent rather it brings more peace. When you are busy playing your games, you will be less concern with other people's business, which I think brings violence to the comunity

Games are made for fun, but I do believe there are some games that can make your child violent without proper guidance.
You need to watch your child of what they do always, since some games nowadays has some violent content. There are games that is very competitive. Like Dota, one of the most popular games today. I play this game also, but I can't understand why some players always do trash talking. I know it's kind of an expression that's why they trash talk, but sometimes it is very offensive to other players.

Definitely not, violent people have a predisposition for violence, they've been doing that from their childhood, and they never exclude the possibility of fight, how would you expect someone so peaceful and careful leaving his couch to stand and hit somebody, I have watched Hamlet, and it exceeded any video game in history in terms of violence, do that make me violent, I don't think so.

It depends on the kind of games someone plays. If you play energetic games, there is always a high tendency to be influenced in behaving rash sometimes especially if the game is giving you hard time completing it.

I am going to use soccer games for example. A friend of mine happen to break his LCD television because of frustration in losing to computer in the 90th minute. He was so mad he broke his television without realizing. So I say that the kind of games one plays determines if he would be influenced in a violent manner or not.

I wouldn't say that was a violent reaction though. I know quite a lot of YouTubers have destroyed their equipment because of a certain things happening in a game. I think that is just a reaction to losing, the same thing could happen in an office environment. For example, someone could have lost a sale and might throw some papers on the floor. That's not violent, it's just a reaction to not being at their best.

I guess, it depends on which game you are playing most of the time and if you have sportsmanship. It also depends on how often you play it and your age. Other factors could make you violent such as watching violent movies or TV shows or people around you at home, in school or at work. It doesn't necessarily mean that if you play games, it will make you a violent person. I totally disagree with this one. Just my two cents, my friend!

I think it depends, there are some factors why gamers becomes violent.
1. Newbie Team mates
2. Lag or network problem
3. Unexpected PC crash
4. Parents, Grand parents that doesn't understand that an online game can't be paused.

It's pretty annoying dealing with this problems that you tend to throw your mouse or keyboard out the window.

I do think that the online games have a negative influence on the people behavior. We are stressed with our job, and the daily tasks and problems, we charge our psychic with a lot of negative emotions, adding what comes from playing online I think that people who play games are more violent than the ones that do not play these games.
The most affected of these games are our kids, and we should take action and limit their time in the front of PC.

Well for me yes games make you do violent things and it also depend on a game you are playing, Putting person in violent reaction is just an over acting thinking of a person. However there are some influential games like GTA where in you can do anything you want that may would trigger you to copy what you are doing in the game. Recently i heard the news that a person thought he was playing GTA in real life and get arrested for so many damages. Games really affects our way of thinking and every player must know how to control their self to avoid any incidents like what happened in the news. People nowadays are getting more violent because also of the people they are playing with.

This is a broad topic to just answer simply yes or no. While there is no hard and proven scientific studies for this, personally I think playing violent games adds up to becoming violent. While there may be factors that are pre-existing in a person who is currently playing, like mental health issue, this might aggravate the situation. As an adult who plays some violent games, I don't think I can do whatever I do in a game in real life. But with kids, when they are still on their developing stages, somehow being constantly exposed to such violent simulation, this might affect how they develop their compassion. I don't know if this is really possible, but being a parent of an active kid who does a lot of gaming, I can say that their behavior drastically changes when they play too much.

For me, I don't think games makes people more violent because it actually depends on how people take the game, how they play it. The thing with kids is another issue they probably need a guidance when playing some games like GTA which the character can kill any pedestrians he sees. Let your kids play games like NBA or more happy vibe games rather than GTA or some violent like games.

At some point I'll guess yes because even if its a game some people take it personally and if they not control their temper the game will become battle or fighting in between two parties whose handling the game. Even in basketball, sometimes some players are fighting because of their misunderstanding evenif they are in the game.

It depends. For young players, parents are responsible to guide their children or to restrict their children on playing violent games. I cannot say that in general, games can make people violent. However, I believe that it can cause changing of behaviour for some people especially for children. So this I think is more applicable for the young minds since we adults know that what we do on games are purely just for games. We
know what is right from wrong so we dont do it in real life.

This is a very difficult question. For many people games are a way to de-stress and a way to do something that they wouldn't do in real life (like shooting to people). On the other hand it may desensitize them to violence and make real life seem like a game. It may happen to children and teenagers in particular because they aren't fully developed yet.

Games were created to entertain people. I don't think it makes people violent. What I believe is that there are people who are really violent. When they played and lose in a game, their violent behavior had just aroused that causes troubles. And those kind if people should not play a game that will make them angry when they lose.

It depends on the people you are referring to and to the games that are being played. When kids play games that are gore and violent such as left4dead and in mobile apps Dead Trigger, in my opinion, they tend to become violent. As we can notice, these kids who played these types of games, they act as if they were a swordsman. They randomly hit the air and sometimes hit the kids they are playing with. They act as if they were the character they played in these violent games. Kids of ages 2-6 are of cognitive development. They are vulnerable to being violent. They imitate everything they see.
Most of the kids nowadays play games from App Store or Google Play. Good thing is that there is an indication of age range who can play the games which we are about to install. It will be easier for the parents to monitor the kids and choose what to let them install and not.

Not really, it still depends on the person playing the game. if the person is already violent in the first place, it would only be natural for him to go down this path even when he doesn't play violent video games.

This. I don't think the people arguing about games and violence understand this. It's not the games that are making the people violent, it's the people themselves that are doing it. If they are already violent, then the game is not going to make any type of difference really.

Yes, it happens to some players or gamers. They become violent whenever they can't control their selves after losing a game especially if they are too agressive and active. Sometimes, if they are on a team, misunderstanding may also leads to some players to become violent because if one of their teammates did not play well then they have a tendency to lose the game. And I believe no one wants that to happen, but it doesn't mean that you can physically hurt or even verbally abuse him/her. I think everyone should learn to self control in order to have a nice and peace gaming.

I think it depends on the person and their age. Some people are totally immune to game violence. The really dangerous ones are individuals who are sensitive and, therefore, are easily susceptible to behavioral influence. But it's not like they'll immediately become violent. It's something that can make them more likely to behave in bad ways.

Well, I think that everyone will respond differently in this regard. If your motivation for playing the games is just recreation then you will be able to take everything that happens when you are playing the games more sportingly. However, some people are not able to disassociate themselves from the games even when they are not playing it. This happens especially in the case of teenagers. Also, some of the new games are very dangerous in there content and have resulted in the loss of life of some youngsters throughout the World.

First of all you have to know what will you play. It depends, some games are violent and some are really not. For example I play slots in online casino and thac can't be violent. If you play games like PubG or COD the situation changes. If you don't know which online casino to play on, you can click here and start playing on one of the casinos on there because those are the best. When you get the experience you can go to a real casino and play the game you are best at. I love playing poker and I am making good money online by playing it.

It's not true, boy. Depends on what other games you play. For example, I mainly play poker on a computer or in a casino, well, this is my habit. Sometimes I even win good money. But I had a problem, I didn't know where to play, so that they wouldn't cheat me with money. So I decided to ask a friend who has been playing poker for over 20 years, where you can find a good site to play poker, but at the same time withdraw money to the card, and he advised http://112.140.187.124/ . And so it is, I won a lot of money the other day and took them all off, I'm very happy about that!
