HELP ON MICROSOFT OFFICE

Hey you guys! I have just recently gotten a new job and it requires working a lot on spreadsheets. My computer needs a Microsoft office and I don't know how to put one in it. Is there a way I can get one for free? If not, how much do you think will cost me to install it in a Windows PC?

Thanks in advance!

HI, If you are from the Philippines I would suggest to you you can go to the mall and look for a laptop technician or shop and you can ask them if they are installing a Microsoft office in a laptop. Because recently I just had my Microsoft office just for only 300 pesos. it's a complete package and you don't have to buy a yearly payment its a lifetime purchase. But if you're not here in the Philippines you can just simply buy it.

That's extremely cheap. I used Google to convert the 300 pesos into pounds and it seems that it is only around £4. That's probably not a legitimate software so I would advise against using it. It might have some sort of security bugs or might even have some malware that allows the guy that installed it to snoop on the contents of your computer. Considering the actual price of Office is something like £80, it's definately not a legit copy of the software.

There is no need to visit any technician you can download the application in your own laptop. All you need is a strong and reliable internet connection for it may consume a large amount of data usage. The best things in Philippines is having a cheap prices in any products but the very best thing is to have them free.

I really wouldn't advice downloading the MICROSOFT OFFICE yourself if you really don't know how to go about its installation.

This is because, if you happen to do anything wrong in the process of its downloading and installing it, you would immediately lose all the data that you had already wasted on it. So therefore, I recommend going to the software experts to have it done for you.

Well its up to you friend because all by myself i downloaded and installed Microsoft successfully so it means without any issues. I am using the internet connection of my neighbors so there is no need to worry about data usage because it is unlimited. Actually i am information technology graduate so i have the background of installing any application. I did not learn it from my teacher but it is all the result of my own research. I recommend you to practice and try installing in your own and i promise you can learn it. It would help you to avoid visiting and spending money in experts.

Yes, you will need to pay for Microsoft Office. Office 365 Personal costs around $70 a year and Office 365 Home is $99 a year. If you need to use Excel for work, maybe you could ask your employer to see if they will provide you with the software since they should have an Office 365 Business subscription that they can share with their employees.

Another option is Google Sheets if all you need is to use Excel. It's a free cloud-based spreadsheet application.

Is this a trial or a full version?. I once download Microsoft Office from a particular website thinking that it was a full version. After some time I couldn't really use it and then I started using office online. However, it was not really convenient to use office online and I had to purchase the Microsoft Office Software.

Hi Pizzalover.

It is vigilant of you to remind us that there are indeed websites who offer the entire Microsoft Office for little to no price at all. This means that not only can the downloader obtain Word, they can also get Excel and Powerpoint as well, to say the least. Also, this keen awareness of yours can also remind us that the latest versions of Frontpage, Outlook, and Access may also be included in the package as well. Very nice suggestion.

Hey this link really works! Awesome! Never knew there's still free MS Office on internet lol

Yes, I think there's a free application, for Microsoft office, it's the old versions. I tried this application for many years, and still helping until today. I don't usually pay attention into other sub-branch of this Microsoft office. I only install Microsoft word not other versions of it, because I don't think, it's necessary at all.

I think there's no such thing a free versions of Microsoft word, if there's one, it will be a crack software. I used Microsoft 2003, because I found it in INTERNET, for free, but I think it's a crack. Anyway, you can find many of it, on different website.

You can use google docs for the meantime or you can download the app in filehippo. But if you want the original version, I think that would be around $60 bucks but its worth it.

Hi, Good Day OP, microsoft office is not free. You need to buy it on a reliable source like those that sells computers, laptops or any other computer based product. You will be given a disc type. As for the price, it depends on how many computers you are installing it with. Better inquire on the nearest store near you. As for pirating it, it depends on you if you are willing to sacrifice your safety. There are lots of option you can have if you want to risk. Some torrents are offering one, like utorrent, bittorrent or any other torrent app. But for me, just purchase it. Better safe than not. It is all worth it by the way. Good luck!

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Authord
You don't actually need to purchase it, you can download it and crack the software, but if the person in question can't do that, he can go to a computer village or a place where computers are been sold and ask them to install it on his PC or he buys the disk. But these days almost all software have a way of downloading and using them for free.

If you have the money, I recommend you to just buy the software. Yes it can be quite pricy but if your using it work and you get income from it then it should be fine. But if you finances are not looking too good at the moment, there are still other options available. Although I don't really recommend them, there are websites that offer free download. It comes with some risks of course. There are some that don't really work. Some that are usable for only a limited amount of time. Others come with trojan horses and malwares. There are also some illegal methods like torrenting but if the anti-piracy law is strict in your area, then it is not worth it.

You can always try torrent but that's illegal...and totally free.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yes, you can download it at any torrent site, although it's illegal and not recommended. But it's your choice.

You can browse the net for free downloads of microsoft office and I'm sure you can find one but that's illegal. You can try but try for your own risk. I would still recommend to try purchasing the legal one for your own safety also. Office for Mac Home & Student 2011 cost $120 and$200 for Home & Business. A subscription to Office 365 Personal -- which includes Office 2016 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher and Access -- for installation on one PC or Mac (plus one phone) is $70 per year (Retrieved from http://www.zdnet.com/article/how-much-does-microsoft-office-2016-cost-without-a-subscription , 05/09/2017).

Diels1001,
You're right you can download from the computer store in a cheap price but that has no license or illegal. But in my own opinion I don't wanna spent about $200 for Microsoft Office why should I bought a license Microsoft if I can get it for free. Please don't get me wrong I'm just saying because a lot of company used a not license Microsoft Office.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

You can buy it but I don't know how much. There are lot's of free Microsoft Office to download over the internet. You can use torrent or IDM to download but it is illegal and it is much better if you buy original installer.

Feel free to browse any torrent site that has Microsoft on it. Even though it's illegal still try, you would probably get it for free or
you can use some alternatives first.

if your using the 2016 microsoft office i think you can get the genuine copy for 65 dollars but if you like a not genuine one a free microsoft office you can search for it and install it but it will not have an updated on bug issue or more improvements. but for me if your not really at the office working you can just go for the not genuine copy to save money.

You must buy a new version of Microsoft Office if it is for your new job, I doubt they will be satisfied by an old version that is free. All you must do is to download the program and you must follow the instruction, is very easy to install the program just read carefully before to select NEXT.

Microsoft Office is a paid software. If you want to learn spreadsheets, you can check out the tutorials on gcflearnfree.org website. You can learn both office and libreoffice too. It's very easy to work with spreadsheet. Only the complex calculations take time. And it'd require you to spend a lot on lot of time trying to learn these tools. You won't get it overnight though. So work on those small things. And see where do you stand with this. I think you can also use the Google docs and the spreadsheet feature into the application.

Hmm. A data entry job I see. Congrats! I always knew that data entries are viable. HELP ON MICROSOFT OFFICE Anyway, if it is required from your work to have that application installed, you should probably ask your manager or the supervisor because I don't think it's a good idea if you are the one who will personally buy something that your company needs. It should be them who will provide for that. You are working to earn money right? Not spend your own money for your work. Just my two cents.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

You should tell your employer that you need to have an MS Office, to help you with the installation and subscription or payments. If you are a freelancer, you can download the free open source version, LibreOffice( https://www.libreoffice.org/), I'm not sure they are affiliated with Microsoft, but their software works with MS Office files, so you won't have to worry, and it's free! It's more advisable to use free open source versions like these rather than download a pirated version on the internet even though it's tempting, simply because it's illegal, and software companies nowadays put something in their software that will give users a limited feature once it detects that it is not legitimately installed or purchased.

I dont suggest you to download free MS office, you may not get the full function of it and it is not a 100% safe for your computer. If you will use it for work for, it would be best to buy the software. To be sure, go on the microsoft website to buy the whole software or go to the nearest store thats sells microsoft office. For the price, it may vary depending on what country you're in.

There are lot of ways you can download and install Microsoft Office. You can search it in torrents which have cracks though it might look for any licences which you can search in the internet. You can watch how to do it on youtube for better installation they actually also include the sites of where you can download it. There are also ways to use Microsoft Office by not downloading the application to your computer. You can also use Microsoft Word online which is free and easy to access. I sometimes use it for editing documents and it has the same features like the one that you're trying to download and install.

You can download it free at torrent sites but I will warn you. These are illegal downloads just so you know but if you are willing to buy an original one, you can check their main website and you can see different package or offers with different price depends on what you need.

Depending on your financial situation, you can either - buy it or torrent it. It's always good to have an original copy of a software, because you have support that way, however it's not really necessary to buy it, when you can literally download one everywhere and as other people stated older versions are free, so there's that too.

We don't tolerate piracy here at ListingDock even from other forums unless it's a pirate forum. You should not pirate things because when the devs made those softwares and products, they also put a lot of effort, time and money just to bring good quality features and also it has helped a lot of people.

I think there are many ways to get it for free on the internet but it's going to be much better if you buy the licensed Microsoft Office. If you still don't have the budget for it right now, you might be interested to download the free trial version. You just have to head to the free trial page and sign up. But of course, that's just going to work for you for a limited time and perhaps there would be some functions that would not be accessible since it's just a free trial kit. At least you will have an idea about it! It's still up to you. I hope you could get it soon so you could make use of its convenience.

If you have extra money, you should buy an original copy of Microsoft office since you are going to use it for your work. If you don't have that much of money, then just download on torrent sites. There are lots of trusted torrent sites out there and you will really save money if you are in a tight budget.

If you need at right at this very moment, you can download a trial version through cnet.com. On the other hand, if you need a full version, you can also find the official site there where you can pay through your credit card. You can also use piratebay to download torrents for this if you don't want to pay.

Do you specifically need Microsoft office or just a program with the ability to work with spreadsheets? Because there are some programs that are free and somewhat mimic the Excel/Word. But if it has to be Microsoft specifically then I guess you just have to buy it yourself. It might be costly but look at this as an investment - you buy the license and it's yours forever. No more worrying, ever. Just make sure to save the key that you receive with it.

I do know that you have to pay for Microsoft Office, but if you have never had it before you can get a free 30 day trial. Just go to the Microsoft Website and create a new account. The option should be open to you and you after you upload it, it will teach you the features of all of the programs.

I suggest you to download the free trial version, then when they ask you to renew it, you can choose between different options they have. Another option is to use a mobile device like a tablet, on android system you can download the free version for mobiles and work on it, is not going to be as fast as on a laptop, but is a possible option you have. Usually renewing it is cheaper than when you get it for fist time too.

I don't think you're job or your employer will require you to have a licensed and genuine MS Office product. Its not really cheap especially if you're on Asian countries like me. There are lots of copies out there that are being updated to the latest and uploaded online. I think its not worth it to buy one cause you said you were saving some money just to buy licensed copy. I think its all the features that you will going to use on that licensed copy, supposedly you had bought one, will be just the same on a downloaded copy from the net activated.

You just have to go to a mall and look for laptop markets. They will help you to install Microsoft office for just a small amount of money. If your from Philippines you can find many malls that has a laptop market. You can approach them cause they install many software according to what you want. All you need to do pay a small amount of money and patience for the time of installation to be finished. Since I was an IT student I just ask my friends if they have an installer for Microsoft Office and get it for free. You can also try ask some of your friends if they have one.

Your employer should be the one supplying you with the tools you need for the word, end of discussion.

If for some reason you wish to pay to work (which to me makes absolutely no sense), then there is no need for expensive MS products, when you can use totally free Google Docs which has support for Excel spreadsheets for both importing and exporting. It also works in offline mode should you have disconnections with your internet connection, so that's a plus as well.

Just an addition to what I previously posted here. I really suggest that you try to obtain MS office from trusted sellers. Earlier, when in class, one of my classmate is going to report on her topic and she are going to use her laptop with a "craked" or a free version of MS office, and it fails to operate in a projector. Fortunately, our instructor is kind enough to lend her laptop to my classmate. This one is really a problem specially if you are going to present a more important one. To avoid circumstances like this, don't use untrusted versions.

There are ways to get it for free but I'm not going to post how because it's not a "legal" way. The best thing to do is to of course buy it out right. The two ways are to either buy the latest version or to subscribe to Office 365 which where you pay monthly/annually and you get access to all the Microsoft Office products but the benefit is that you can upgrade to the latest version when it comes out.

There are probably a bunch of free torrents in google you just need to search. But as what he says buy it directly from a store or a shop, if you really need it then the cost would not mind even if it's a little expensive or cheap.

There are two options you can download microsoft word. First is, buy it in mall but it may cost you a little thousands of money. The second option is too risky. There are tutorials on the internet how to have microsoft office in your computer. Just make sure you choose the right one because if not, it may affect you computer.
