I never had a chance to play the monkey island but base on what i can see on youtube it is a great game not famous but a great gameplay i only place this thimble weed park it's like your going some undercover job or and FBI agent finding answers and if only this game can notice in the gaming society this game would be popular.

I agree and I think that since Thimbleweed seems very retro/old style it has a big chance of becoming successful in the gaming world. Not only that the devs are famous for making the Monkey Island, the retro games are very trendy and popular right now! I am personally excited to try to play it and also to see how it is perceived by the gaming community.

Honestly not all people can afford a good pc too. So anybody can play it no problem. Thats one thing i like about these kinds of games. The thing that makes this game special is not through its graphics but its unique style and interesting story that drags you in and keep playing.

Agreed. That what makes it different to the other new games now. I think this game will work even on low spec pc/laptop and wont consume too much on cpu usage. This kind of game should be introduced to many gamers out there. I think kids will enjoy playing this too, and this would be safer to let them play than violent games.

Me too. I've never played this game before and until now. I just don't have the time because of being too busy at work. And I agree that this game is a great game but not on the stage of being famous yet. I did also watched it on YouTube and what can I say, this game has the best characters and has a good story line.

I never played the monkey island but I heard of it from my friends. They said is funny to play this game but they had some problems with it, it has a bug at don't know what level or something so, they gave up playing it.
Since you like it so much you should keep playing it and enjoy your time, take care!

I have never heard of Monkey Island before. I also have no idea so I google it. Maybe if I had the chance to play it before, I would also be fan because I like to play adventure games/story games. The video reminds me of the time when I am playing alladin on my nintendo, there is also story line to every level/chapter. Now I rarely see people playing games like this.

Me too it is my first time to hear about this game and i just watched it a while ago in Youtube after seing this post. As what i saw, good funny game and i wanna try it at some time. Is the bug fixed already because this is the problem gamer are being disappointed in a game. This is a kind of oldie type concept and visualization game. I will download this in full version for free after bugs will be fixed.

I have actually played the Monkey Island before because it was part of the free games if you own the Xbox Gold Membership. I can't recall which month it was but it was a while ago. Anyway, I downloaded it and I was surprised by how good the game was. There story and characters are very well developed and there's so much humor in it. An amazing game. I didn't know that the Monkey Island devs developed a new game so I'll be sure to give this one a try as well

You should definitely try Monkey Island if you like adventure games that have a sort of quest and chill vibe to them. I have played them a long time ago when I was a child and I loved them. I haven't played all of them, but you can clearly see that they evolve with each game, at least graphics wise.

I would love a to try this game! I've never gotten a chance to play the Monkey Island games, but they were always something I wanted to check out. I know that they are similar to the King's Quest series, and those were some of my favorite games when I was growing up.

Just checked out the video. And it seems like a good project from them. I guess I have seen many of their games in the past. And this one was surely unique and good. I guess for those who are into this type of the indie games, need to check out the game for their own self in due time. I think there are some really good games out there with indie gaming studios. And they definitely deserve the attention for sure. I have seen some games like this and they can be good enough as well.

Never had the chance to play Monkey Island, and it's the first time I know about Thimbleweed also. But, base on the reviews around, I must say maybe I should give them a try. Apparently it looks like a retro game, which is really good, because I love those. Also, I hope that it has some funny stuff on the story, or some mystery challenging missions. Anyway, I will tell you my experience with it after I give it a try, so it better be a good one.

I've never heard of THIMBLEWEED PARK. Trailer looks interesting so I might give it a shot one day though. Perhaps it will inspire me to then move on to maybe trying this MONKEY ISLAND game you speak of so favorably.

I'll be sure to give this game a try! I've been getting so bored with most video games lately that I've been turning to much older games such as the old point-and-click adventure games of the DOS era, however it's hard to get many of them to work on modern computers. I haven't played Monkey Island but I've heard many good things about it, so I'll definitely be trying this out. I love the art style, and as I said, I've been wanting to try out a good point-and-click adventure for a while now. Thanks for the recommendation!

I love playing Mario too, mario and luigi. It gives me nostalgia like I am going back to childhood while playing them. Luckily, I dont need to buy or download the game because my uncle take good care of this old nintendo where we can play mario brothers. Up to now it is still working good like new and even my younger cousins enjoyed playing it.

I still wish I had my old Super Nintendo. It was the very first video game console I ever owned, and Super Mario World was my favorite game for it. In fact it is my favorite game of all time. Unfortunately when I got more modern consoles, my parents gave away my old ones because me being the stupid kid that I was, I thought "Who cares about old games? It's all about new games, better graphics!" To this day I still play Super Mario World now and again through video game emulators, but it just isn't the same as having the original console and cartridges.

Ohh 8 bit! I love games in this style. One of my favorite back then was Full Throttle which was just remastered. I miss a time where games stood out for their plot and quality content rather than fancy graphics and special effects.

I like to play things that most people don't like because most of these games are always very good and just do not have the recognition they deserve (which is a annoying thing).

Sometimes top games are just more basic. Those unranked games are more treasurable than them. I also feel annoyed about it. Well, we'll just have to keep on supporting and maybe one day they'll be on top and that's when you call it deserving.

Sometimes I get the impression that most of the things that stay outside the popularization zone turn out to be much better than the ones that get fame. Of course this is not a rule, but what seems to stay out of the eyes of the media seems to have something more to offer.

Totally even those games that need to buy are 0-100 chances of having fun. Maybe we just get bored easily that's why we tend to agree with that notion. Well, there are a lot of games that our phones can offer, we just have to download what we'd want to have.

Judging by the comments of the other members, this game - so far unknown - seems to be very well accepted here. Which is a good thing because everything that is good needs some kind of recognition, right?

I don't know about the idea of becoming world famous, but this game at least won some more fans, haha!

I've seen a lot of positive responses and reviews of this game here. That probably means it's a good game.

I haven't tried it out but thinking of doing so cos I love games. I'll have a response as to whether it deserves recognition or not when I try it out.

Well the best indie game that I have ever played is Last Day on Earth. It is actually a great game, addictive and exciting to play with. Even though it is in beta version this game has many difficult game stages which is very challenging and can make you think all the time you play it.

Well, I'm not a fan of indie games though, but with what I'm seeing the developer tried, and needs to be commended. But to think of the fact that he got no recognition, should be a sign that no one plays indie games anymore. I mean why should waste my skills on indie games, when I can build modern and cool advanced games

Hmm, I disagree to some extent. I think that there are plenty of indie games with a lot of potential. Take Stardew Valley for example. It is a wonderful, charming game that has taken over the gaming community by storm. It has become insanely popular and has even been ported onto the Nintendo Switch recently because of the demand for it, and it was made by just one guy. Indie games have as much potential as triple A titles do, dare I say even more, but the problem is that their reputation has been tainted by a bunch of developers who simply want to make a quick buck and do so by putting out some crap.

I love games that have this type of design and style. I don't know why but I just really like the pixel art style design. The game looks really well made and I'm sure it will do well. The only problem is like someone said above, indie games just aren't as popular anymore. THey will have a few loyal fans here and there but the majority of gamers prefer to play more modern and advanced games that have huge budgets.

I find there is enough publicity here itself and the word of mouth from users where who have responded to your discussion will surely go a long way in more and more going for it and thus get the recognition it deserves. Having said that it is not always that one gets access or chooses to go for something that is not prominently visible on the Net.

Seeing someone here who likes also monkey island is promising. I remember my childhood memories now. I played it almost everyday. It is one of my favorite games before. The story and on how you will finish the game is so awesome. I always fired up everytime I played it before. I hope many people also played it before. Because your childhood is not complete if you don't play monkey island.

Will play this in 2018! I think more people should support indie game developers because there are hidden gems out there and unlike other companies such as EA, indie game developers do not really milk customers for their money and just give you a good gaming experience.

I have always hated Indie games. Past in the days, all indie games were disgusting, but with the development of technologies, they started to become better and better. Now I am very happy to hear about a new interesting indie game that will appear. I even didn't know that my favorite game Counter Strike Global Offensive was also an indie project for Half-Life. It became so popular that Valve bought the rights for that mods and created a whole new game. It is incredible how such a case changed the gaming community so much and created a cult of shooters.
