Does dropshipping makes you really rich?

I've seen and watched some sucessful stories of people earning 7 figures by just dropshipping and I don't really know if it's true but I just know that it is somehow possible. And also, I have this thing in mind for so long that I will try dropshipping business when I got time and save money before I do it. Does it really make someone rich enough to buy or build thier own mansion?

I agree, your income potential here is unlimited and you don't have to worry about stocking products and shipping them yourself. All you need to do is just handle the transaction and let the suppliers do the rest. I find it convenient since you just need to find trending products to sell on your own drop shipping store.

I've also seen many dropshipping seminars being conducted in Baguio or Manila. It is quite pricey though. I think most of the speakers do not earn from drop shipping, instead, they make it through their expensive seminars. I see many people are also doing drop shipping so it may be hard to compete with a congested business. I can't say that for sure because I haven't tried it myself.

I think it has the potential of unlimited earnings. Why did I said that? as I understand, dropshipping is a way to earn without having any problems for storing goods and products that is to be shipped to customers. They are just acting as the middleman in any transactions including goods and products that is to be shipped and delivered to paying customer.

It is not too good to be becauseany are earning big amountnto the site. Although, this method requires knowledge before you can start, you can really make good amount from it. I even saw someone's proof on BMF who earned $300 with commissions and dropshipping. This is really possible if one master the technique with this method.

Haven't heard of it either. But I think you'll need to really understand in's and out's of the business itself. It will get hard at times like any business as time passes by, but if you know your way around it and have enough knowledge combined with experience, you'll get through it and succeed.

You can earn limitless or unlimited money if you have the wits and talent to do so. You have to have very high IQ and what you are about to take and be part of is a business with no operating tax, the government will eventually hunt you and ask for your business.

You should check out dropshipping guides from oblero. And there is also another shopify website. They seem to be having another few set of the guides. You can easily make use of those guides to read as well. I guess we have to see what can be good if you want to have start. For each country the dropshipping would be lot different.

Depending on how good you are with handling your transaction, dropshopping have the possibility to making your rich beyond your imagination as you practically have less to worry about in goods or products damage since you are working as a middleman to finalize the deal and make your business cut from the transaction. I have seen lots of successful people who are into the business.

It's a good way to make money by design but you need to have major space or room to store the items you receive. Perhaps a storage locker of some kind close by if you don't want them all crammed at your home. Also if any of them get damaged while in your possession that's gonna be a bad mark against you and will cost you money. The biggest worry though is the merchandise itself. Sometimes it turns out to be stolen, or counterfeit. Which means if it's in your possession, then you're part of the conspiracy according to law enforcement. Therefore the golden rule here as it is in buying from or doing business on Craigslist and sites like that.... know your supplier. Do as much investigative work and deep diving as possible before brokering a drop-shipper contract with anyone.

Actually, most of the dropshippers do not need space to store their item. All they need to do is post the details of the chosen item, then put the name and the address of the costumer when you order. It is basically selling item from one site to another, that is why they called it dropshipping I guess.

Yes knowing the supplier is very important. You can get into trouble with shipping and the wrong product if the supplier is not known. And it can be changed if the thing about supplier needs to be properly taken into the context. You can see that some of the time some brokers are going to be pretending as the supplier. And that is going to make issues more complicated in that way. You have to understand that as well.

I've been hearing a lot of people as well that they're earning big through dropshipping. I also want to do this kind of business and I want to earn just like them. I am also from the Philippines, I have never tried it yet but I read some discussions about it. Example is aliexpress to ebay, the poster said, you're gonna choose non branded or generic item from aliexpress(one with free shipping), then once you have the item, you just need to copy the description and the add some profit from its original price then post it to ebay. When someone orders to you, you will then order the item to aliexpress but put the costumer's name and address so they will receive the package. They will pay you on ebay, they you will send the item from aliexpress. That is what I read.

Thank you for the information anor0428! This is also what I've learned so far for dropshipping. I guess it's better to try and test the product first for durability and quality test before posting an item on eBay or Amazon. I've also heard another technique about purchasing dozens of items at Aliexpress and then ship it to Amazon and they'll be the one to resell it. I think this process is much better since you don't have to worry about the process of returning a defective item from consumers and have a refund as they will take care of it. I guess once the product that you shipped to them has passed the quality check, you don't need to worry about it just in case they really return the defective one from consumer to seller.

But my question now is, what if we do the first process/option and the consumer/customer wants a full refund for a defective product that we send from AliExpress to Amazon/eBay. How do we process the returned product and how do we send their money back? Do they need to ship it back to AliExpress since that's where the product came from? They can't return the product to eBay/Amazon since the product doesn't origin from them, in the first place. I'm confused.

In dropshipping, you're going to sell products that you won't even handle or see actually. You just have to set up your online store and look for companies that are selling their products and offers dropshipping. Grab the product's picture and details and put it in your online store. Once a customer purchased on your online store, you are just going to take their information and fill it up to your supplier's purchase page and tell them that it is for dropshipping. Your supplier will deliver the items directly to your customer. Your job in dropshipping is somewhat middleman between your customer and your supplier. You are just going to put additional amount from the original price for you to earn and purchase the item from the supplier with the original price. In this kind of business, you won't be worrying about your inventory and storage for the items that you are selling.

But one the things that you should do also before starting dropshipping is knowing your supplier's return policy.

For example:

What is the returning process?

In what condition does the item is acceptable for returning?

How many days does your supplier will allow you to return aproduct after buying?

Who’s going to pay the return shipping fees?

Based on your supplier’s return policy, you also have to create return policy for your customer. If your supplier gives only 30 days return policy. Then you are going to give lesser number of days that your customer is allowed to return.

I just got the concept of dropshipping but I haven't triedit yet. I'm just not sure if dropshipping really works for like me that is living in the Philippines. I'm looking for someone from our country that is doing dropshipping but so far, I still haven't as I'm writing this post.

Now I see! We need to learn and analyze the supplier's return policy so we can come up with an idea on what to do when the customer got their products broken and want to ship it back. I'm seeing the bigger picture now. We just need to register an account like on eBay/Amazon as a seller and then just post some products on that site like everybody else. Once we're done, we can also promote our link through Facebook, blogs or any other social sites.

I think aliExpress is one of the biggest dropshipping company where you could also find cheap items. Most dropshippers recommend aliexpress. You can setup your own website using wordpress and install plugin that could link you to aliexpress to get the items you want to promote. Or you could register to shopify for 30 days free to set up your online store. But once you start promoting items, you have to pay the monthly charges for using their service.

You're right! That gives me an idea as to where we can possibly spread our link so we have broad options as to where we can advertise it. I've also seen the same process at Lazada where they also do dropshipping there. Notice why they have lots of seller for 1 specific item with different prices? I just don't know as to where they got the items to sell. Maybe, Kimstore?

I guess this is one of the reason why some people used to buy courses from a real drop shipper guru, just because of the information you need on YouTube or such blogs are not that complete and it's basically inside a course which will probably cost you.

I agree. And it's better if this particular person that you'll ask for assistance is near you so you can talk about it in person and you can secure that it will really give you all the information that you need to know. I've seen people who offer their assistance in teaching you their ways but ending up joining in his team and just work under his/her management. In short, He does have his own drop shipping and you will be the one to process all of his orders and just get only a commission.

This is also what is confusing me. I have to agree with what vhinz said that you have to know the return policy of the supplier. One more thing that bothers me on dropshipping is the sealed of the package that can sonfuse the costumer. How will they react when they ordered to ebay but got the package from aliexpress, though some dropshippers said that most of the costumer would not care about the sealed because they are more concerned about their item.

Oh, yeah! It might show on the package the AliExpress brand. I'm sure that the customer will confuse that they got the package from another site. How do we deal with this? Or there's no sign that the package came from them?

I doubt that there will be no Brand of Aliexpress on the package. But if I am the receiver of the package I will surely be confused. But then some dropshippeps said that the costumers would not waste their time for complain as long as they receive the item in good condition, somehow they also have a point.

Yeah the product is what really important for the customers. If packaging creates problems to the customers, dropshipping would not be that successful to people doing this.

I think we will find it out if we would try dropshipping ourselves.

If they won't gonna complain, would that affect the sales as they might hesitate to purchase to us again and instead, they just directly buy it in AliExpress since they got the idea now where the package came from? I'm sure that they're gonna think that it's much cheaper to purchase the product in AliExpress. I would think the same way if that happens to me.

I won't say it makes people rich. It's the products that you sell through dropshipping that makes you rich. Not all the stores which are starting the dropshipping leads to the success. Some of the stores are failing. It all comes down to what you choose to sell. And what is being in trend there as well. That being said shopify and other stores are good for the starters. But none of them can offer you the "being rich" option. That's something applies to almost every dropshipping store on shopify or other stores as well.

Exactly, the rich factor is really dependent on the products, which are being drop shipped, and the acceptance of the buyer to hiked price. Many drop shippers hike prices, in other to make good profits. And what worked for Mr A will maybe not work for Mr B.

Yes. There are many people who are spending like millions on the Instagram and facebook promoting their dropshipping stores. And ti seems to be something that is necessary for the selling stuff. I think many success stories out there these days are promoting the wrong picture. Dropshipping seems to be hard. And people wasting a lot of money trying to make things better. But it's kind of difficult unless we find the right product.

There are dropshippers that offers free items to their customers but they still earn big amount of money. They have suppliers where they can get the items on low price and offer it for free to their customers for a volume purchase. All they ask to their customer is the shipping fee. But what I've learned is that they could also earn from the shipping fee they ask from their customers. It's a marketing strategy. Of course they made first their computation on how much they would ask for the shipping fee that even they offer the items for free, they could still earn.

Successful dropshippers really studied their market. They know what products are profitable and they know how to target their potential customers. Copywriting also is one big factor in promoting products to attract buyers. I think earning big amount of money through dropshipping is not easy but it can be learned as long as you are committed to do the necessary actions and willing to take risk. And for me, I think I'm not yet ready because I'm still learning online marketing. There's a lot more that I need to learn. Getting into any kind of business without the right knowledge and skills is also a big risk.

Yes knowing the market is really something everyone should do. I have seen people working harder on the niche selection. And building the business on the top of that is something every dropshipper needs to learn. Shopify is very costly for even the basic plan. So one has to be very careful on how they are spending the money. And also that's something one has to consider for promoting the shop.

I think those who are white labeling the dropshipped products are offering free items. i have seen some of those people offering free samples on the instagram. And if you have a good budget then instagram celeb and the free samples part works out. I am not sure how good is dropshipping for the people with less money. But from what I have seen that being rich is not going to be any easy.

Yes. For they can get free shipping fee on suppliers site, they can really earn profit from it. There some cases that the shipping fee is much higher than the item being sold. The only problem would be when the item is damaged and the costumer ask for refund and returning of the item.

Yes. What I have noticed is that Chinese logistics also have to go through the custom services in the airport. And that limits your restriction there as well. I personally think that there are some of the dropshippers who are working harder on this point. And trying to come up with viable options. But local rules often limit how we can deliver to the people around the world.

I agree. The success of droppshipping will depend on how you are going to choose the item to sell. For beginners I guess it would be best to start on cheap items. Finding good and trustable supplier is a must too, this is to avoid the complaints or the returning of items which may cost you some trouble.

Cheap items not necessary to sell. I have found out that cheap items require more promotion. Because remember you can buy cheap items locally. You don't login to internet for them. And that's why you have to find exotic and sellable items. It's kind of rush money in that case. But you get the idea that it can be doable as well.

You have a point there. Choosing the item is one of the important factor for the success of this method. I remember one dropshipper made $300 with legos, imagine that amount he made for just selling leggos. It is on sale and he grabbed that opportunity to make big profit from it.

Yes LEGO shop is more likely to sell than the shop that sells the dairy products online. I think dropshipping is something where we have to think about the delivery time, our profit and the our purchase price. So all of these variables definitely play a big role in establishing the business. That seems to be something worth thinking about as well.

It is an easy concept but the execution can be harder if you don't manage to sell your products. I think that people take it way too easily and like anybody can become a millionaire with it.

You have to put a lot of work into it and know how to approach the right audience so they will purchase things and you will get paid.

I agree. It is the product choice and the selling part that can make this method successful. One must be smart enough to choose the right item and the right supplier that can work best for dropshipping. It wont be easy because you really have to study the rules of the supplier and the demand of the costumer. Youtube videos can help to be more aware with this method if one really want to try it.

It is definitely a good business but I would be very careful with it. If you do it wrong then it can be extremely bad and you may end up losing a lot of money. Before you truly get into, make sure that you understand every aspect of dropshipping and know what the risks are as well. If you do decide to go through with, I wish you the best of luck with it

I tI'm seeing also many youtubers posting videos about their earnings. Lots of them are earning big money. I think it is really possible to become rich doing dropshipping. With the right products and good marketing strategy you could possibly earn good. I've known dropshipping about 3 months ago but I haven't tried it because I'm living in the Philippines and I'm not sure if it will work for me since the potential customers are coming from different countries. But I'm studying how to do it and maybe one of these days I'll try it.

Any business can make one rich,the only snag is how someone is going it.Someone can swear that one can't be rich blogging but another person is buying houses and cars from just blogging,so you see it not about blogging perse but how one is handling it.So same thing with dropshipping if one does it well that there's no stopping one from being rich.

I also read many stories about dropshipping and their payment proof are really mouth watering. You just have to pick which item will give you many sales and from that you can get a lot of profit. However, there are some people saying that drop shipping find it as cheating to the costumer since you are dropping the order from a different site which is not the actual site from where the costumer order. Despite of this, you can still see a lot of people are being succesful with this method.

I don't think there is anything like cheating when drop shipping is being mentioned. The major aim will be to select and deliver quality goods to your clients and make your profits. For someone that is into business of drop shipping, you wouldn't say they chest when they earn from the difference of prices.

Dropping shipping on the same site is okay. It is dropshipping from one site to another that can be considered cheating. If you were the costumer who ordered the item on ebay but then you received the package from aliexpress, wouldn't you feel cheated or fooled? because if I am the costumer, I would feel that way.

This is the key for the big sales and profit, to choose the product that is currently on trend. Choosing an item that people are addicted to can give you numbers of orders. When an item is on trend, people are panic buying to get the item. Sometimes they dont care even if it is a little pricy as long as they trust the site.

I dont think you will need big investment for this method. At first try you can get those cheap items that has big numbers of sales, and from that you can make big profit. Once you know exactly the techniques and the rules for this method, you can then invest for more items, or the expensive item such as phones, tabs and other in demand gadgets.

Dropshipping can make you very rich, for instance, you sell ten iPhones, five Samsung curve TV, five Samsung Note 8 every day, imagine how much commission you are earning from these sales. However, this kind of thing does not happen. Unless your dropshipping business not equivalent to popular online stores, you are not going to make big money through dropshipping. In order to make money from dropshipping, you need customers who are buying high priced items.

As entrepreneurs I believe you shouldn't ask for the path, you should create the path. Most of the things we enjoy to this day were created by people who didn't know it was possible, they believed it was possible. Good examples are the windows programme that made personal computing possible, the light bulb that brought electricity to your home, the mobile phone, that you now use to more than talk to your friends.

In my opinion knowledge and implementation of knowledge is power, no one is going to tell you what works or how to make money. We all need to find out, ourselves by doing.

I mean, you can find success stories about literally everything, of course that it has a potential to earn decent income, you can do it with any type of business as long as you put enough tough and hard work into it. Drop shipping is great, because you don't need a place for your stock and that's a huge plus.

I think that any business can make you rich if you know what you are doing and have a bit of luck.

But generally speaking, yes, the dropshipping business has been pretty good in terms of earnings lately.

So many people have been successful with it but you have to know that you need to invest some money to get it going.You have to be able to sell the products that you have chosen or designed, such as t-shirt otherwise you won't earn anything. Not everybody makes a lot of money with it though. Just like any business.

LOL, any business can help you get or build your own mansion, if that is what you need. You need to understand that as long as money is involved in a business and transaction is taking place at different time intervals, then you can earn up to 7 figures with it. But you need to also know that not everything, you see on social media or internet is true, people usually pull ridiculous figures from a places where sun don't shine .

You know what? Drop shipping business is part of my list to try. Though I'm aware there are a number of hardbound competitors in the block, I might still pull it if I'd have the right marketing tools and can provide more pro-customer benefits.

I want to try Alibaba and some others given the proper training and knowledge of the product. I can't say now if I'll be a millionaire with this line of business, but I'm sure I can earn money out of it.

I agree with your comment @felabruno. To be successful in business you have to have a purpose and enjoy what you are doing. In business class, this is taught as having your business fulfill a greater good.

No, let's not get there yet. Let's just talk about getting started. So where do we start? My goto is always Uncle Google. Apparently, there are already established systems which use the dropship model.

Next question?

What to sell? I think this is the easiest and also the hardest question. Some people would just take the easy way out and sell whatever is selling, or whatever everyone else is selling. I suppose this can work. Sort of. Whatever is selling also happens to be whatever everyone else is selling. So you start by selling something which anybody can buy from a million other sellers. Alright, maybe not a million other sellers but still a lot more sellers than you can shake a mouse at.

So I think the way to answer this question is to ask yourself, what kind of product do you know well about? This, in my opinion, will give you an edge over the competition. Selling has a lot to do with knowledge and experience. Just hot air can float a balloon for only that long. You need more knowledge and experience to keep the balloon up there and going in the direction you want.

Sellers selling what someone else currently is or 'market replication,' is normal. Every year has a hit item or two, or three. If you're going to sell or offer what other individuals are currently offering, you just need to drop the price a bit in order to heavily profit. The difference of even a meager $50 bucks on an expensive item, can make a huge difference to a lot of people.

Hello, although I do not have any personal experience so far I have heard a lot about it and it seems to be a trustworthy method to me. As everything the success with this way of earning money depends on how skillful and knowledgable you are so if you have not started yet, do not expect to become a millionaire but gradually, who knows... I have heard only about the Aliexpress, the Amazon and the Ebay but there are definitely more sites offering this option. Even though it is unknown, don´t fear it and give it a shot!

I have never done dropshipping before. However, this thread has got me intrigued. So I asked Uncle Google for more information. Wow, there are a few dropshipping suppliers in my country. I have just registered for one. Now I am browsing their products. Actually, there are too many products. So I am concentrating on what I like. Yes, I like many things, so I have to narrow it down further. I saw a knapsack. That's it. I have a crazy interest in bags. Used to be I would go down to the secondhand stores just to look for bags. Not that I need any more. I am just that interested. Now I am looking into how to create a FB page to talk about bags.

I think it is true although I have never tried it for myself. I have actually been in the process of researching more about this in the past few months, and from the videos and comments I've seen, it does sound like it could work. Although, I wouldn't exactly say that it will get people rich since there is still a large amount of risk involved, so it should be treated just like any other business where you should temper your expectations and try and minimize the risk as much as possible.

I seriously doubt if dropshipping would pose any danger to us, physically. Perhaps if the dropshipping supplier is not reliable, then our credibility would take a beating. So, I suppose the very first step to starting this business is to do some serious research.

Personally, I am influenced by the way a website is set up. If it's very poorly designed, I take that as a sign of unprofessionalism. A serious company would take care to make sure that its website functions correctly.

WIth a lot of things, if you do it correctly then you can make a lot of money. Drop shipping is definitely one of those things. Drop shipping is actually great because you don't have to worry about shipping. Of course, you need to make sure that you get a good enough supplier because like Aree said, if your supplier is bad and doesn't deliver on things then it will be your business that gets a bad reputation.

They seem to have a fairly large inventory and they have the products which I am interested in. Besides, they have the lowest top-up amount to get started.

Yesterday I participated in a webinar about dropshipping. One of the speakers was in debt to the tune of $2million.He thought it was all over for him. He was just about to file for bankruptcy. His friend approached him with the idea of dropshipping as a solution to his financial problems

Their webinar was entitled 'Selling Unsexy Products on Amazon' He used suppliers in the US and from China (i,e Alibaba, and AliExpress)

He used Amazon to sell his products. On the webinar, he showed his proof of payment from Amazon. Last year he made over $1 million in profit. The trick is to find the products. Once you do, your good to go. Would $1million, build you a mansion? I think it would.

I don't want to sound like a debbie downer but keep in mind that not everyone is going to make money. For ever 1 person that strikes it rich there are 1 million plus who doesn't make any money. I think the biggest problem with the internet is so many people want to live the dream and spend all kinds of money only to find out there dream was a failure and now they're out of all the money that they spent trying to get the dream going. So the moral of my story is don't spend anymore money than you're willing to lose!

As what I have understood drop shipping has similarities with the other retailing business, but their difference has a huge gap. The only they do is that, they only directly sell to the costumer, and they don't have any inventory meaning they only sell when someone order from them that's what I have understood to that business model. It would be amazing, if this kind of business will flourish to our country because this kind of business is still raw business.

I think it's up to the location and strategy of the people who are involved of this kind of business would boom their business, as long as they manage to develop their own way best-selling, it would be fine. To make things simple this is the new way of business model. It would be a boom business I think to the rest of decades.

I have tried drop shipping in the past and did not find it all that lucrative. I found that I just could not offer the products at a competitive enough price to make a healthy profit. Much of selling is being able to use volume purchasing to get the best prices. Drop shippers cannot offer real wholesale pricing. As a result, your margins are very thin.

I actually have a friend who is in the dropshipping business and this is something that she does on a part time basis. She mainly sells cosmetic products. Dropshipping is good as you won't have to bear any storage costs, insurance costs and other costs associated with keeping inventory. My friend has been quite successful in her business. I don't think that dropshipping can make you rich but you can earn some money with it.

Some dropshipping works like that, especially it is one of those multi-level marketing companies that have reps doing in-person sales or parties (like an Avon). But, online drop shipping is more of you building an ecommerce site and when you sell something, having the drop shipper send the products in your name. I theory, it sounds good because you are not holding inventory or processing orders. But, the costs are much higher than a regular wholesaler.

For dropshipping I think a lot depends on the product. They are many suppliers out there and many products. Like with any types of sales, including affiliate marketing, you need to choose the right type of product. You also need to choose a product that has a good profit margin.This depends on the supplier, you are able to get and the quantity of product you sell. The more you sell, the cheaper the supplier's price to you. I actually prefer this to affiliate marketing. I think if this is done well, it has unbelievable potential.

From my point of view, it is very possible as long as you know how to start and what steps to take. Thanks to social media the needed information is easily available and ofter for free from experienced people. The YouTube is a rich source. It is also advisable to save some money for that especially if you are a newbie to this activity. Although I have not tried it out yet I think it is a great way how to learn new thinking and computer skills. Given so many people have succeeded it seems quite easy to master.

I am glad to read so many responses and information about dropshipping. There was once I watched a webinar from a entrepreneur who has made good money from dropshipping, and that's where I first knew the term about dropshipping. He demonstrated how he set up the online store with Shopify, and select the products from AliExpress, if I am not mistaken. He did that in a very short time, perhaps between 5 to 10 minutes. The set up seems to be so easy. That made me interested about dropshipping and think it might be a good way to go, as I am always worried about packaging and shipping when I think about selling products. Dropshipping can really solve all these worries.

Thanks to ColdFlameChris, I will find out more about refund policies if I really want to start this dropshipping business. Besides this, I am also wondering if the customers will deal with the dropshipping company directly instead of buy things from me in future, if they find out it's actually dropshipping. I heard from the webinar I mentioned above, the dropshipping company can also ship out the product with our branding, if I am not mistaken. I guess we really need to find a reliable dropshipping company if we want to start this.

I didn't try it but I read and watched some videos about dropshipping. Indeed, the limit is the sky, you are gonna earn as much as you are going to dedicate time doing this. It can make you rich, or at least it can provide you a decent amount of money. But like any other job, it takes time and hard work to achieve the amount of money that you want.

Someone will always manage to make it big - I'm sure there's a guy selling sand to some desert city, making killing with it! But the more competition you have, the harder it will be to pull something off, and dropshipping is so insanely popular that while it's possible to earn your living with it, it's going to be a tough road to take.

But you shouldn't be discouraged: just try to find your own niche, preferably with low competition and high margins, and make sure that you outshine all your competition somehow (great customer service would be a surefire way!) and you're already half way there!

I've done a lot of dropshipping for years and it didn't get me rich. Dropshipping is a term and a system of purchasing products from other stores that carry the product and ships that product to your buyer with your name or company as the shipper.
I have been running an online store for several years but I stopped 2 years ago, I was using a Facebook page and a group site as my platform, as you all know there's literally tens of thousands of stores in Facebook and over time some of us owners became friends and to earn more we started posting and promoting each other's products this started the dropshipping sysyem and I use to dropship about $2000 worth of products per 15 day period earning about $300 via a 15 percent markup. Again dropshipping won't make you rich. You have to sell something at your site and it's not easy you need a lot of coordination and this is where things go wrong specifically in the payment, ordering and shipping areas.

All businesses can make a person rich but it can never make everyone rich. Only a select few usually gets rich, it's all about the selling the correct product at the right time to the right customer. Example if your selling surgical gloves and by stroke of luck halfway across the world someone is looking to buy a big volume of surgical gloves on a regular basis and he saw your site or your ad / link and ordered it from you, if he ordered in bulk like 50000 pairs at $2 each and you have a markup or commission of $0.50 then you make $25,000 on a single order and if the order is monthly then doing the math you'll get rich in a couple of years.

I 100% agree with you on every point. This is similar to the point I was trying to make in my own post regarding dropshipping. Much like any financial endeavor, success with dropshipping is going to boil down to putting in the right amount of effort and being in the right place at the right time. Sure you can do your best to calculate what that time and place will be, but the fact is that the open market has always been about luck. You never know when luck will strike, which means I wouldn't go all in when it comes to a project like dropshipping.

As with all financial endeavors, there is no guarantee. With each day, the odds are less and less in your favor as people start to catch on and the market becomes over-saturated. The best odds of really "making it big" with dropshipping have long passed, and now it is just about luck. I have a couple of friends that have been trying out dropshipping as side projects, and so far none of them have made a dime. Perhaps they are just doing it wrong, or perhaps too many people have caught on, but I believe that--like with all things--the amount of money you make is going to come down to a combination of how much effort you put in, and how much luck you have.

I've read about dropshipping and they are bragging that it's a good deal. I still have no idea how it works maybe I should learn about this stuff. About your question, does it really make someone rich enough to buy or build their own mansion? I think it's never done overnight to reach the point of getting rich. You need to work hard for it and make an effort to earn more money. There's no such thing instant when making money unless you won in a lottery or any chance of games.

In my opinion and experience you can earn some money in dropshipping but you need to target good companies. I would suggest going for small companies or businesses that's open to a dropshipping scheme. It really doesn't work well with big companies.

Any business can make you rich. However it takes a lot of work and (obviously) business acumen to achieve those results.

Since dropshipping is very much like any commission-based business, you need to be very good at marketing to be successful. Nonetheless what others have achieved can be used as the inspiration you need to keep you motivated when you embark on this venture.

That said, whether dropshipping will make you rich or not depends a lot on how a good a marketer you are.

I have many friends in Facebook who are doing their drop shipping business for a long time now. One drop shipper told me that it is just being industrious in posting about the products and she gets some sales once in a while. But during this Christmas season the sales are peaking and she is earning more than double. What's good in drop shipping is the economic requirement because you don't need to put up a capital and it is not required to have a website unlike when you are doing affiliate marketing. The earnings are not really that big but if the volume of sales is high then the earnings would be pretty substantial.
