Coke or Pepsi which do you prefer and why?

The age long question of who has the best soda! We all know that both will kill you eventually, but on the way to death which one tastes better which do you prefer? I rarely drink soda but when i do its a coke. Pepsi may have more sales and more employees but the taste just is NOT the same. Coke has a crisp smooth taste and a good kick as well. Pepsi is more bland to me goes down like water the carbonation is not the same. If you look in history at the "Soda Wars" Pepsi won the taste test hands down! but why do people still prefer Coke over Pepsi? Men lie women lie numbers dont, Below i attached a video of a taste test i watched on YouTube.

I'm not surprised! A lot of people really love Coke. Like he said, there's just something about Coke, you can't replicate. Very distinctive flavor. And, I've always believed Pepsi was sweeter. I think it's a matter of personal preference.

Growing up, we were always the 'gotta have Coca-Cola!' family. And, then when i was in middle school, I met this awesome girl who became my best friend for many years. We hung out almost every afternoon at her house and did homework and watched TV shows. And, sometimes she would order a Dominos pizza (which we never had at my house) and we'd drink Pepsi, which was her favorite. My mom didn't like Pepsi, so we never bought it. Anyway, she was the coolest person ever! And, I have so many fond memories associated with Pepsi, hanging out with her. I drank Pepsi for years afterward, even when we moved away from the area. And, it was my favorite for a long time. I still like Pepsi, but in theory only. Being a grown up, I can't really drink either without having some bizarre blood sugar related reaction; light headed feeling and then really tired. :/

I think that I can taste the difference between Coke and Pepsi - with Coke being a bolder flavor, very satisfying and Pepsi being sweeter and more mellow. If given a choice, I'd likely go with Pepsi, but everyone in the house loves Coke. So yeah I have to buy that.

I like Mountain Dew more than either lately, those clear soft drinks are really nice! But as this is a Coke vs Pepsi challenge, I'll say Pepsi.

Hey you leave mountain dew out of this lol they have enough to deal with sierra mist bushshshaha. That is really unfortunate that this happens to you and you should stay away from it. Ask your doctor what is going on because diabetes symptoms is what it sounds like. And yes thank you Coke is bold like me and like things have to stick together! My mother loves Pepsi and it was a Pepsi house growing up. We had juice water and other things but the Pepsi bottle was off limits. If we got caught drinking her soda it was whooping time lol. Spanish moms and Spanish butt whoopings. maybe thats why i don't like Pepsi i associated with beat downs. Im only half kidding thank you for your response i appreciate your time as always.

Seriously does Pepsi have more sales? I find that just plain strange!

Here in South Africa there is just no contest between Coke and Pepsi... every store and restaurant stocks Coke and hardly ever stock Pepsi. If you go out to eat and ask for Pepsi you will probably get a strange, blank look from the waiter and get offered Coke.

I have tried Pepsi before many years ago when I was a teenager.. and well it isn't Coke so I didn't like it.

Coke has my vote!

Although this does not include 2016 you can see its a trend of sales Pepsi coming out on top. I think its very funny that people are bias to coke in South Africa. Just to give credit to the article i will attach it below:

This is quite tricky actually. I've always liked Coke and I prefer to buy that whenever I buy a soda. - It has always been Coke for me. The funny thing is that whenever I want a coke, if I'm at a restaurant or whatever, and they don't serve coke.. They offer me a pepsi instead. And that pepsi is delicious! - I've probably never bought a Pepsi in my life from a grocery store, but they taste awesome and I should probably drink it more often.

Perhaps people are more in to Coke just because of the fact that coke had real cocaine in it ages ago.. Kind of like cigarettes. I know that some people are smoking Marlboro because of the myth about KKK and people believe Marlboro is a brand by KKK originally?. (I can give you more examples of this further on if you're interested.) - Or, perhaps it's just a coincidence like so many other things in life. People buy whatever they prefer, but most of the people probably don't even know why they prefer one thing more than the other.

Well i think the Pepsi you drink and a restaurant is going to taste different out of a can or bottle. Most restaurant staff are not trained to clean those beverage dispensers properly. Basically what im saying it is your getting extra taste and flavor from the grime thats left over lol. If your going to take the challenge i would buy one can of Pepsi and one can of Coke. then i would drink a sip of both and savor the flavor lol. I heard about the cocaine thing and its actually true. I did not know KKK is myth to have owned Marlboro. Thanks for sharing!

LOL! - Haha, that might actually be true jkeyz2.. So I bascially drink old, weird, leftover Pepsi. Sounds delicious... Thanks for sharing.. Or not.

Yeah, I'll probably have to do that actually. The challenge. Buy one of each and compare them at home instead. - That way I'll find out the real truth about the taste!

I prefer Pepsi over Coke. I find the taste to be slightly better. Therefore, I always buy Pepsi when I go to fast food chains. Drinking Pepsi too much is unhealthy so I have stopped drinking soft drinks.

My family and I always prefer Coke as a drink rather than having Pepsi. One of the few reason is that Coke taste different and it's really refreshing. There's something to its taste that makes the drink addicted. There is even a time when we drink Coke almost every day of the week because of the hot weather, I know it's bad but Coke is just really addicting to drink.

I would probably prefer Coke more on Pepsi. The reasons are i grew up drinking this Coke , since i was a high school student this is the drink we used buy all the time and this drink can go to any food I ate.

I would vote for Coke than because it has less carbonate gas than Pepsi. It is popular in restaurant, Pepsi is not a highly demand brand among the teens. Maybe due to the advertisements that had captured the teens attention. I don't drink carbonated drinks that often, maybe once in a blue moon.

I am a health conscious person and i know both are not good in our health but if i need to choose between them i prefer to drink Pepsi because they are less in sugar. There are lots of viral videos in the internet especially Youtube where in it shows how Coke slowly destroys our body and their are some social experiments about this product which it can be use also in cleaning some dirt. There are lots of experimental activities that could prove that we should avoid drinking cokes cause it may harm us. If they are compared in taste coke is better and we all know that coke is the most popular drink when it comes to drinking partnered with alcoholic beverages.

I used to prefer coke when I was much younger and I could take more than 3 bottles a day until age 18 when I was permanently bloated.I had a very big belly and grow some flabby here and there.I was always laughed at by my slim friends, I read online on how to keep fit and reduce bloating that I got to know this fizzy drink was doing more hard than good.

Since then I stopped taking soda of any name or form and I don't have the bloating experience any longer.So now I go with only water,no more coke or pepsi.

People have a preference for Coke in my country. Many people also drink the coca cola zero sugar in my country. This was my favorite drink. However,I quit drinking sodas some years back. I used to drink the diet Coke mostly everyday and yet I gained so much weight because of that. Coke and Pepsi are both very bad for health and we must avoid drinking them.

Pepsi!
When the ingredients for Coke are hauled in tankers, they have to mark it as Hazardous materials due to the acid content in it.
I want to keep my stomach in tact as long as I can, I might need it for a few more years!

In my home country, coke is more popular than pepsi. I like coke more than pepsi. When I want to drink a soft drink, pepsi is the last option. By the way, my best soft drink is spirite. I find coke and pepsi too sweet. Having said that I prefer to have juice or lemonade instead of carbonated drinks.

I drink Coke. Somehow it does taste different from Pepsi. To my tongue, Coke is sharper so it gives me a kick. Pepsi seems to be a bit sweeter.

In some places, I see that when they sell Coke, they don't sell Pepsi. And vice-versa. I wonder if that has something to do with company policy. That's how I found out how Pepsi tastes like. When I cannot get Coke, I make do with Pepsi.
