Leaf blower or leaf vacuum which one do you prefer and why?

Hey guys today i had to do some lawn work and i really wish i had a leaf vacuum. My wife and i just purchase a nice size piece of property and needless to say its a ton of work to maintain. Towards the back of our land is a cliff and then below are train tracks. I usually blow all the leaves off of this cliff, but today it was windy. Days like today i really wish i had a leaf vacuum instead of a blower because the wind just blows the leaves rite back at me! I wonder how many people are doing what i am doing and who does things different. What do you guys prefer when you do your lawn work and why? Is it the blower or the vacuum that get the job done?

I think with a decent sized lawn and yard, a leaf vacuum would work so much better. Especially on windy days like you said, instead of the leaves blowing right back to where they were, they get sucked right into a bag and you empty it when its full. Sounds alot easier than blowing and blowing them all around!

Yes thats what i was thinking. I didn't mind though i have to get things done. Next year we will invest into a backpack blower and vacuum combo.

Will always prefer the vacuum it does a better job than the blower,blowing around, why don't just vacuum gather and get over with the leaves especially in a really windy season.it pretty simple and easy that way.

Yes I would think in your situation a leaf vacuum would be so much better.

My mom used to use a different system and maybe this would work for you. It involves 3 kids right? One kid does that raking, another kid has the bag and holds it open, the third kid fills the bag with leaves.

How many kids do you have Jkeyz2?

I have 3 lovely girls and they would probably get a kick out of helping me. I have so many things to do on a daily basis that its hard for me to involve my kids. As bad as this sounds they just slow me down sometimes and i need to get things done faster. If i ever have time and i don't need to rush it i will certainly involve my kids because they would love it. I have it good i know Lynne im learning on counting the blessings i have. Growing up we raked and never had the stuff we have now and i made money raking leaves nowadays nobody is doing that as kids. Thanks for sharing Lynne

I also ordered a leaf vacuum a year ago from this site gardeningtoolshq.com and I am extremely satisfied because it is not difficult to use and saves a lot of time and it is very cool.
In general, I like to take care of my garden and that's why I always with my wife like to renew everything and we have new ideas because we love everything with a beautiful aesthetic.
Is anyone here also a fan of gardening?
