What you will need:
1. whitening toothpaste (doesn't matter what brand, as long as it is for whitening)
2. toothbrush
3. rag

What you need to do:
1. rub the whitening toothpaste al over you headlights
2. Wait 15 minutes for the whitening agents to work.
3. Brush with an old tooth brush over the surface of the headlights. the dirt and grime should come off really easily.
4. Wipe away the grime and dirt with the wet rag.

Now you can enjoy nice and clean headlights that don't look like there is fog in there! LOL

Oh wow, this is a great hack and yes I have whitening toothpaste at home! I wonder if this works so well for cleaning car headlights what else you can use it for?

Our windows that face the sea are so hard to get clean and shiny. The sea air and all the salt affects those windows badly and I have been trying to think what I can try to make them nice and shiny and clear.

Ooh, this is just the hack we need right now! Our car headlights have some kind of constant, fuzzy looking grime that just doesn't seem to come off. I've tried washing them and even using special glass cleaners, but to no avail. It makes it rather difficult to drive when it's dark out and much worse to drive in the dark when it's rainy. Since we are generally on the road early morning or later at night, it makes me a bit nervous. This is definitely worth a try, especially since we already have whitening toothpaste, and if it doesn't work, well again we already have the toothpaste so there is nothing lost in the venture. Thanks again for what may be another great life hack.

I have always know toothpaste is a very good cleaning detergent not just for the teeth but also for most of household appliances. I have actually used it in washing my rusted and dull necklace and it becomes very shinny.

So I'm definitely not surprised when I read this post on its usage in cleaning of car headlamp, I am quite sure it would be very effective in making it look neat and squeaky clean.

Therefore, this is a valuable information to all those who aren't aware of other usage your brushing toothpaste bears to offer, now that you do, I suggest that you take absolutely good advantage of it.

My husband has been telling this method and we both planned to test it but with so much things to do, we haven't done it. Have you really tried this method? I hope this is effective. And on that note on cleaning the car, do you have any suggestions on how to clean the seats of a car and its ceiling? I would really appreciate it.

Thank you for the info, this is definitely the easiest and fast way to clean your headlights. I always do this whenever I don't have time to take my car on the car wash, and also I enjoy doing this with my girlfriend and even my friends or my close relatives.

I don't have a car yet but I feel car owners feeling if there cars have dust in it especially the headlights. For me, it is hassle if I go for carwash to clean my car. I want to clean it in my own way. So sharing this ideas may help me in the future and for those car owners who wants to clean their car by themselves. And I am sure the car will love it if the owner will be the one to wash it.

I've been looking up DIY cleaning recipes recently and a number of them call for toothpaste. I find this both interesting and scary. I saw Tooth paste in a home receipe for cleaning sneakers also. Does that mean that toothpaste is that effective and if it is isn't it too harsh to use on your teeth?Never mind my rant, Lol. Despite this doubt will try out your receipe for my headlights and see how it works.

Yes, I was cleaning my boots as well like this but I know that this thing works very well for the headlights and many other things. It is a cool lifehack as that with cleaning toilet with cola. I know about this thing due to the guys from https://www.shipaa.com/. They brought to me my new car from another state. Besides that they prepared it and made it look very beautiful and shiny. So I asked them how they did this and they showed me this lifehack. I asked them because the headlights on the photo were yellow and now they are looking like new.
