Music is my stress relief, does it do the same for you?

As you all have read, Im a stay at home mom of 3 girls, 2 of my girls that arent in school are with me everyday, so my life can get pretty chaotic and stressfull at times!

Music is my go to remedy for stress, sadness, and even when im happy! There is just something about music that helps decrease the stress level and also helps ease my mind. Psychologists have actually proven that listening to music is a good way to express feeling! I can definitely agree to that! I love music!

I listen to all kinds of genres, (pop, r&b, rap, rock, country) but mostly whats on the radio! LOL I mostly listen to songs that have a good beat or melody and songs that I can relate to.

Does anyone else find that music helps relieve their stress or helps them cope with something?
What kind of music or genre helps?

Music is a huge help to reduce stress. However, I usually watch/listen to auditions from Idol, Swedish Idol and America's got talent. I just love them! - I love the reactions from the audience and the reaction and statements from the judges. It's motivational and inspirational in some way, and I usually end up laughing and having a good time, so it's the perfect combination for me along with endless working hours for instance.

When i was a music artist i use to express my feelings and emotions into my lyrics. Music can be used in many ways as stress relief and more. Studies show that babies who listen to classical music in the womb are more likely to do better in school. Music can make you feel certain emotions as well. Rock music makes me want to jump around and be physical. R & B music makes me feel in a lovey mood. Rap music makes me anxious and energetic at the same time, needless to stay i don't listen to it much anymore. Writing music is really where i express myself though. Thanks for sharing this topic its awesome!

I am a huge music lover and I agree that music really is a great stress reliever. Being a Mother to 4 children life can get really chaotic at times and being able to listen to my favourite music really does help bring down my stress levels.

Country music is my go to every time, with Countr music there are a huge range of different songs that can hit you no matter what mood you are in, plus being a huge Country music fan as well that always helps.

Same here! But lately I have been listening to post-hardcore and screamo songs. I really am a screamo enthusiast so sometimes I would crank up the volume while I am doing things online or trying to relieve some stress. But I guess nothing can beat the oldies and the classics. Some instrumentals from Steve Vai doesn't hurt as well. Music is my stress relief, does it do the same for you?

Listening to music has always been my stress reliever. Especially those kinds of inspirational, rock, R&B and pop music.Every day I consumed like 5 to 10 hours of the day listening to music. When I am unable to sleep, I usually listen to music and it's really effective on me. Whenever I'm happy or sad I listen to music. Music has already been part of my daily routine and my stress relief.

Yes. when I'm bored and stressed music is my medicine. music is really important to me. it keeps me relaxed and calm. whenever I'm not in the mood I just took my phone and headphone then turn the music on, after that it made me feel better. It really made me relaxed especially country music. that's why I really like Taylor Swift songs before.

Yes, I totally agree.
I often listen to music to relieve stress and to just center myself. i have different playlists for different mods and different activities. Music augments what I do, and it is like having a best friend there by your side who will never let you down. Music is also very motivating in terms of inspiration, and I listen to it often while i am writing, like i am doing so right now.

Yes, I agree with you. I often listen to music especially the songs of Bruno Mars and Ed Sheeran because their music is very pleasant to the eyes. Bruno Mars's music makes you dance or sway with the beat while Ed Sheeran's songs makes you more relaxed because it has softer melody. Music is my motivation to walk. LOL. Every time I walk, I always plug my earphones to my ears and play music. It helps me to do not think the distance of my destination

It does! Music helps me a lot to relieve the stress that I get because of work. Sometimes my brain gets completely blocked after working for many hours and music helps me to chill and get back on track after taking a short break. There are many playlists of relaxing music on the internet and I sometimes use them.

YES, I love to listen to music. There is always a song that expresses everything I am going through at that moment. It can make me calm, relax or even make me wanna cry. It can help to clear up my mind and relieve all the stress I have. It also can make me change my weekend plans to stay at home and watch movies to inspire me to go out with some friends seeking for a future boyfriend haha. I love listening to NACHO, Pablo Alboran, J balvin, Ozuna, Post Malone, Kendrick Lamar, Bad Bunny, and others.

I love music! I just can't last the day without even listening to one. I have even subscribed to Spotify to be updated with new released songs, and have albums by my favorite artists. They also have awesome playlists to choose from. I know I can have all that without really paying, but I don't really have that time to update my phone's playlist as much as I want to. So I opted to buy the premium plan, and after all, the price for it seemed fair enough for me. This only shows how much I love listening to music. Not only is it a stress reliever for me, but also a part of my day to day life, really. I listen while taking a bath, eating, when I feel down, when I feel happy. Just about whatever mood I have, I listen to music.

Definitely yes 100 percent, music is a very good stress relief for me in a way I can't simply imagine. It does more than just relieve stress from my body, it calms my nerves when I am very angry just a little sound of music would make me pause and recollect myself.

The most interesting benefit I enjoy from music is its ability to help me sleep easily. I happen to have difficulty in falling asleep with ease, sometimes I call it sleeping disorder. I can stay in my bed for hours at night without being able to fall asleep, I would just be moping at the roof until my eyes and too tired then I eventually sleep off. But with music, the case seems to be a different one.

Once there are is a tough of music in the background, I practically find sleeping to be very enjoyable and sweet because I don't even know when I sleep off and it's always a long nap time before I could wake up. So, music does more than just relieve me of stress, it offers me so much more.

Music is really like medicine. It can be the answer to so many problems . What I find is that different music normally has different messages, that speak to your current situation.

There was a study done some time back, unfortunately, i cannot remember its exact details, that tested the effects of music on blood pressure and it was found to actually lowered blood pressure.

So your right music does reduce stress. I love artists like Adele, Beyonce, Breaking Benjamin, Demi Lovato, Justin Bieber. I love them because their music has spoken to different situations of my life.

Just like you, I also find music as a good stress reliever. I have been an anime fan for 21 years now and just like other anime fans out there, I developed my taste for anime music, particularly j-rock. I love rock music. It's full of energy. I also have a favorite non-Japanese rock band. It's Evanescence. Going Under is my favorite Evanescence song. Rock music lifts my spirits high and they give me joy. Music also has an effect of making me remember past experiences. Whatever song is playing while I'm experiencing something, I remember it over and over again each time I hear that song. Evanescence songs bring back my college memories because that's the time when their songs play a lot on my mind. I remember my college days each time I hear Evanescence songs. Music helps me relax after having a stressful day and it refreshes me. I listen to music when I take time to rest. It makes me smile.

I haven't listened to music regularly in a long long time. Most of the time it just causes chaos from my children because they want to play with the little CD player I break out in the kitchen while I'm cooking on those hard to deal with days. They start asking all sorts of questions and try to play with it and just won't give me an inch of space. Other times I just pull up youtube on the tablet and listen there. For some reason that doesn't cause any commotion.

Much of the time, my stress reliever is to do some knitting or crochet. I find it really helps clear my mind within minutes. I end up focusing on the project rather than worrying about X, planning Y, and trying to figure out Z. It's usually when I don't have time to sit down with my yarn, or if the knitting didn't help, that I break out the tunes. I find I usually like music by Black Eyed Peas, and Maroon 5, the most in those moods. There's something about the beat and tone of the music that drags me out of my rut moreso than with other artists.

I'm too hyperactive to be calmed by music. I've had my favorites but those were mostly songs I enjoyed when I was a lot younger. If there was a genre I am interested in at the moment, that would be epic music. I love listening to epic music while taking a walk which is my best way of relieving stress. There's something uplifting about epic music that inspires me to get up and fight. I get a certain high from listening to anime music background. I have downloaded 1 and 2-hour non-stop epic music on my smartphone and they're very handy when I want to motivate myself to work.

As for me, music is the best stress reliever. It makes us feel and realize things. I always listen to music regardless what's my reason. Whenever I'm blue, music is my escape and it helps me alleviate stress and emotional pain most of the time.

Music is also a way for me to express how I feel. If I'm listening to really sad songs it just means I'm going through something that I can't explain so I'm letting music express my words for me. If I'm listening to piano or violin music it means I'm stressed out and I'm calming my mind so I won't be overwhelmed. Listening to upbeat music just means I'm in a great mood!

Music is definitely the best stress reliever. I remember receiving a Walkman as a birthday present when I turned ten years old. Ever since music has been a companion of mine in any aspect of my life. I listen to it when I am happy, sad or bored basically all the time. During the pandemic music was alongside me too. I even bought a system from https://www.truesoundhire.co.uk/hi...-hire-package-1/ which I installed in every room of my house. While working from home I found that music also does a great job at helping straight up my mind and concentrate.

I do the arranging, as well. Yet we've got hard days, too. This year I've also endured a depression. Fortunately, it has been simpler than I expected, because I found the right expert in these matters in good time and I hope that I can help if I inform you that I have managed to locate him at the website https://calmerry.com/couples-therapy/ , maybe that will help others, too. All of these people are here because of the tough situation on our planet now.
